I own a gold copy of the original The Legend Of Zelda. Does that count as rare?
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)Kind of? I mean if it was sealed, then hell yes, but used copies seem pretty easy to get.
...I look at my game collection and answer with "good question".
I'm gonna assume that the answer is Metroid Prime Trilogy or Xenoblade Chronicles, as evidenced by the stupid prices demanded by Gamestop for "used" copies. I actually got my local store's very last copy at the time.
I have a large amount of limited editions, but I doubt those count. My copy of Hyperdimension Neptunia was rare until NISA decided to reprint them at a low cost.
Funnily enough, I didn't really like any of the three games I've mentioned. Metroid Prime didn't grip me enough and was dropped at the first save point, Xenoblade felt merely "okay" and was stopped fairly early, and the first Neptunia is the worst game of its series by far.
EDIT: I also have one of the few physical copies of Code of Princess. Seriously, the print run on that game was so small that most stores only got pre-order copies. Mine only had *one* aside from mine.

You lucky bastard :P As far as monetary value goes, the only rare game I've got is a copy of Gotcha Force for the Gamecube.
Just another run-of-the-mill guy.Hmmm, I have a copy of the first two Shadow Hearts games, that apparently had really terrible luck with reprinting and now cost something like 100$ on Amazon. I also used to have a copy of the original PS One Valkyrie Profile (it costs like 400$), but I gave it to my cousin since I have the PSP remake.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI've got a disc copy of Symphony of the Night. It's scratched though, and messes up the music and graphics in certain areas of the game.
this place needs me hereHard to say. Darkwing Duck is there. I own both Shining Force 1 and 2, if that counts. I think Quest Fantasy Challenge and Quest: Brian's Journey are rare. I know that Quest 64 is kind of rare now compared to some other games. But that's due to less copies being made.
Penny Racers might be rare?
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.I've heard Kirby And The Amazing Mirror is rare, or at least incredibly hard to find, but I'm not sure if that's true or not. Either way, AH OWN DAT.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I've got Graffiti Kingdom and it's pretty damn obscure. I'm pretty sure that the previous game, Magic Pengel, is just as rare.
Don't know how rare it actually is, but my copy of Revenant Wings took me some looking to find
Does a sealed copy of the original Street Fighter II count as rare? It is probably the only unusual thing I own.
Would the GBC cart of Shantae count? I've been hearing one would be hard-pressed to find a copy nowadays.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefOh my god yes that would count, it's so hard to find that Wayforward put a new copy of it as the most expensive reward tier during their Shantae Kickstarter.
That too! Sealed copies of vanilla SFII go for over 80 bucks on Amazin.

Metroid Prime Trilogy, Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, and Xenoblade Chronicles. Maybe not so much Xenoblade, since I own a PAL copy, which are more common.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...You could fetch quite a bit of money with that one.
uhhh....I have a copy of Phoenix Wright 1? I hear they were hard to find...for a while...

Oh! Also, I have a copy of some NSYNC game for the Game Boy Color! I mean, sure, it's probably not exactly a highly sought after game, but you asked for rarity, not desirability
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Yeah, they were, but there was such a high demand that Capcom put out a few more printings, so they're easier to find. Reminds me though, the second and third installments are still out of print, IIRC, and I have those too, so add that to my pile of rare games.

Oh, and I have a shitty shmup called Nanostray that I don't imagine had a large print run
I used to have a copy of Soul Nomad, but I gave it to a friend.
I think my rarest game would be Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
I've got a copy of Ico for the PS 2.
Gotcha Force and I USED to own Shantae. :(
The Protomen enhanced my life.Probably most of my SNES and N64 collection would've qualified, but I've given or sold all of that for far under what the price should've been. Now the only game I can think of that might be somewhat rare that I still own would be Nuclear Strike for the PS 1, or maybe Future Cop: LAPD.
Thought this be a fun topic, came to me as I was looking over my collection and saw my copy of Infinite Space for the DS, looooooove that game, and saddened it's pretty unavailable for many, a used copy on Amazon goes for over 50$, with a new one being over 100. That and Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes for Gamecube are the only really rare games I have.
