The 5th Doctor pic is giving a 502 error. Overall, I like the first two Ace Attorney pics and the 8th Doctor, although with him, having a pic contrasting him with a futuristic foe would be better IMO.

1.2 is great.

Most of the suggested images are simply people in outdated outfit with no indication of its actual setting, and would most likely make JAFAAC. Only 1.2 and the 5th doctor pic actually works.

I'd suggest this◊, but I'm not sure it counts, since modern Japanese walking in the streets with traditional apparel isn't exactly uncommon.

That's giving me a banner pic.

I like it. The purist in me thinks the fur stole is not period accurate (though I may be wrong, I'm no expert on Japanese fashion) but otherwise it's really nice.

Now that 4's working for me, I really like it.

The 5th doctor pic is my favorite out of all the suggestions. The modern sneakers are a nice touch.

A couple more suggestions:

• The cast of◊ Arrow, especially the modern day clothing vs. the Robin Hood costume.
• Willy Wonka◊.

I like the Wonka one, but the link is broken; the dash and space need to be taken out of "chocolate" to get it to work.

Well, I'd personally prefer an actual shot from either of the movies rather than a cast shot, but it might do.

That's good...crowner?

I kinda think they look a little too cartoonish to illustrate the trope well. The white and blue swirly background doesn't exactly help.
