Now that Hot Mom is finally dead, what do we do with Hot Dad? As I'm dewicking Hot Mom, it's pretty awkward leaving Hot Dad, especially since it's even less tropeworthy than Hot Mom. Hot Mom at least subverts the idea that moms can be haggard, or get fat after having kids (the latter of which obviously isn't an issue with the dad).

Since Hot Mom is now a redirect, should we turn Hot Dad into one as well? If so, between what? I'm thinking Fetish Fuel, Stacy's Mom, and Silver Fox.

While I was cleaning Hot Mom wicks, I was nuking Hot Dad too (if I saw them; I wasn't searching for them). Like Hot Mom, they were all Zero Context Examples. I'm sure there's a few Absurdly Youthful Father ones in there and so on, but it's hard to tell because it's usually just a name.

I agree with the OP. Hot Dad really isn't tropeworthy.

Sure, cut and convert to a disambiguation page. I don't think anyone would argue that Hot Dad is more tropeworthy than Hot Mom.

Yep, Hot Dad has no reason to live.

BTW, kudos to everybody who did the hard work on Hot Mom.

Anyone have issue with my ideas for tropes for the disambiguation?

I don't have any, at any rate.

I think that, at the very least, Hot Dad could be redirected to Hot Mom (currently a disambiguation) and that page's description could be rewritten to note "and its Spear Counterpart 'Hot Dad' are..."

As far as additional tropes for the disambig, I got nuthin'. If we have Spear Counterpart tropes for the tropes listed on Hot Mom, I'd look into merging them under gender-neutral names.

I think it's best to have it as its own disambig, since it has a couple unique tropes it could be. I suppose we could fold them together, I just prefer them to be separate.

If they're folded together, it shouldn't be under Hot Mom or Hot Dad. Hot Parent would be preferred.

[up] That's a good point.

Grandma, What Massive Hotness You Have! should probably be included in both disambigs/the disambig.

Redirecting both to Hot Parent would probably be a good idea. Can we go further and direct them to Hot Parent Disambiguation of something else that emphasizes that the page isn't a trope?

I think that is unnecessary extra work.

Rather, I would make Hot Dad into a disambig, then cutlist the subpages (which will redshift the article), then add a comment asking for no edits and lock the disambig.

What, about 15 seconds of extra work?

[up][up]Your suggestion seems like it'd be more work.

Yes, because we'd have to do that either way. Stopping peope from adding wicks can only be achieved by redlinking the old name(s).

Either way, I prefer the suggestion of redirecting both to Hot Parent and making that an index of these tropes.

Honestly, if an index is needed Parental Tropes or Tropes After Thirty or something about parents or older people in general would be more useful than an index just about parents being hot.

The Parent Trope is probably what you want for the first name.

Well then Hot Parent can be a supertrope then.

Hot Parent doesn't look like a trope to me - how is it distinct from Fetish Fuel or any "attractive character" trope But Parent?

I vote cut or disambiguate. This is no more tropeworthy than Hot Mom was.

[up][up] Pretty much [up] this is the only reason I'm suggesting it. We already have Hot Mom and Hot Dad, both of which are pretty unnecessary but the former of which was voted in favor of keeping. Why not just condense it down to one overarching page, then?

Either cut it or make it a redirect to Hot Mom.
