The glowy purple power-up the mooks used against the oni guy are illegal hacks, not an intended part of the game. Not too surprising, really.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.I'm pretty sure that, with regard to if you have to go to the Gundam Base to play GBN, that our main kids go to play it there because it is set up and ready to play there. I've no doubt that home setups exist, ranging from full-on mini-cockpit rigs like at Gundam Base to peripherals that you attach to a high-end PC in order to play.
Naturally, all this will cost metric fuckloads of money to own, so there'd be a large market for ready-to-play setups like at Gundam Base. Hell, in that world you can probably stumble across three or four GBN-enabled internet cafes on every street.
And I inferred from the dialogue surrounding the 'break decals' that they were a third-party cheat device. It's clear that Square-Enix ain't running this game because they, in FFXIV at least, aggressively pursue and stamp out any forms of cheating like that. They run more Don't Ask, Don't Tell about harmless third-party things like parsers and "visual" mods that are user-side, but they will destroy you in a heartbeat over out-and-out hacks like that.

So a weird revelation I just had is that the ninja SD Gundam kinda reminds me of Onmitsu Gundam (Though mostly superficially, since they're both ninja SD Gundams). I wonder if this means there will be a fight between this ninja SD Gundam and Onmitsu? Eh, I can dream.

The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.I enjoyed this one more than the last few.
- Lacus's Haro is back!
- I love that Patrick is just going to be a recurring thing from now on.
- lol at Kyouya barely even bothering with his disguise and it somehow working.
- This is really reminding me of the Dot Hack franchise. Hopefully without the sketchy One Game Forthe Price Of Two crap.
- Kyouya is unusually nice for a Char Clone and I am confused.
- Hooded figure is the head mass diver or something like that.
Yeah, I guess I should apologize for misunderstanding one of the line Riku said to Sarah in Episode 2 now. I somehow take it as he promises to never use Trans-AM ever again rather than he only uses Trans-AM when the time is right. Anyway, on to Episode 3.
Episode 3:
hey look footage from the prologue
Hey look, someone's having fun in GBN. Hey look, someone's enjoying touching someone's paw.
Actually, why is Mass Driver even a thing? Judging from the previous posts, Mass Driver is essentially a cheating device. I'm pretty sure that you will be in big trouble if you use any cheating device in an MMORPG.
Momoka becomes a Haro. Man, being a guest in GBN must be suffering. Like, won't players kick the guest as if they are football?
Speaking of that, I have to question what the hell the staff is doing when developing GBN. There are like some questionable design choices here and there. Especially the Haro.
Hey look, Patrick.
Kyoya must be a huge fan of Gundam AGE-2. Also, why even customize Gundam AGE-2 into Dark Hound when you can just purchase Dark Hound?
Screw it, I'm not going to ask the logic of the show at this point.
ha ha stardust memory reference (and I didn't even watch most Gundam shows)
Nope, not going to question why Kyoya is supposed to be a new player when he told his game experience to Riku.
Nope, not going to question why Mass-Diver (cheater) produce glitches in GBN either.
Wait, why did Devil Gundam destroy those Mass Cheater so easily? Didn't they boost their durability with Mass Diver?
Alright, now let's try to stuff AGE-2 Magnum with Dark Hound!
After watching 3 episodes, I feel like they focus way too much on GBN. I want to see what they really look like in the real life.

I get the feeling that there's not as much or as potent enforcement of rules violations in GBN. As I mentioned up-thread, the one MMO I'm familiar with, its owners would rain the fire of god upon you if they caught you with a blatant cheating device like that. And it should not be hard to pop open your system menu and contact a GM if you see someone cheating.
As someone who constantly makes football jokes about the two-foot-tall lalafell race, I can pretty well guarantee that guest players would be getting punted everywhere. There would probably be entire subsections of the player base dedicated to football/soccer games with guest Haros.
Honestly, I'm more amused that he took the time to build the Dark Hound shell around his actual Gunpla. Like, I don't even know how it worked because his main unit seems to have a larger body shape/protruding bits that weren't there in the Dark Hound. Also, bonus points for not only doing the Zechs Merquise mask break but doubling down on it and having it happen to his whole damn Gundam.
A buddy of mine is convinced that the hooded figure in the OP is Junya back from Try Fighters, so I'm gonna go with that regarding the shady guy at the end of the episode. Because what the hell.
As to why the Devil Gundam chewed up and spat out those three cheaters, well....it is the Devil Gundam.
Don't forget that Tatsuya also is a Char Clone and, at least until this new champion came around, is the nicest guy you're ever gonna see. Tatsuya and the GBN champ need to have a Nice-Off. And then a fight.
It's the Devil Gundam, and given its coloration, it's also affected by the Mass Divers somehow.
Honestly, I'm still unsure about the series so far but I really did enjoy the hell out of the episode, mostly for being a love letter to G Gundam with the Dark Army, Devil Gundam being a pretty cool threat, and even some classic G Gundam music. Magnum using an apparent Shining Finger Sword is a fun bonus.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Cheating enforcement varies from multiplayer game to multiplayer game. For instance, people have managed to do some surprisingly sophisticated AI research in Workd of Tanks despite bots being banned. Plus, GBN seems to be a huge game and a pioneer in its field, neither of which are great for rapid mod enforcement.
What's precedent ever done for us?They've got a game built up around eking out specific, niche interactions between gunpla models and filtering out what's merely emergent gameplay and what's outright cheating can be very very difficult.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"My one thought through like, half the episode: Char Pls
I kind of only half remember the rest of the episode because Kyoya and Rommel broing out was like, first thing and also my favorite part of the episode.
It was all pretty good though. Magee continues to be the best.
"A-Are you going to let go?"
"... Your paws are so nice to touch..." *plays with stoat beans*

"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Not sure what to think of this series so far but Im liking the battle scenes.
Anyway Im kinda disappointed that based on the op, the girls on Riku's team both use "cute" mobile suits. I hope that asides from weapons, the characters also eventually experiment in using different suits something like Riku using a custom Flag while Yuki uses a custom Gundam and the girls use something thats not an SD ( I think a nekomimi custom Nobel would suit Momoka) and so on. Because come on if you were to play this game would you just stick to using one suit.? I woudn't 😀

Apparently the Aces, like Kyoya and Rommel, don't worry about swapping suits because their Ace Customs are just that good.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...So, has anybody started a WMG for 'Sarah' or is it that obvious she's either A) an AI or b) a terminal patient plugged all the time that can't log out? Her whole schtick "The gundam is hurting'' gave me cringes the whole way
I am putting my money on an AI, I doubt they'd do something with an Ill Girl without some Plavsky magic bullshit to heal her at the end of the series.
Yeah they are defantaly pulling an Aura on us here, she has gotta be an AI / Native.
I was originally thinking she was from the planet Arian, and brought into the Gunpla Online world by Plavsky shenanigans, therefore actually being in very real danger. Which would be an amusing twist on the typical isekai setup.
However, since Divers is apparently a separate continuity, I suppose this won't be the case.

Episode 4: TIGER???
Honestly, I don't really feel like talking about Gundam Build Divers all that much.
Honestly, does Tigerwolf look anything like a part-timer? I don't see it. I'm going to call him just Wolf then.
That enemy Gundam sure looks cool. Too bad that it will never have a model kit of it! Let's not question why Leo NPD will have a model kit releasing soon but not this.
A Gundam from Wing with G Gundam's Golden Super Mode? Okay.
As Wolf said, you need to get Rank C to get a special move. So basically, pretty much everyone with a rank lower than C is most likely to crash and burn.
So, does that mean ninja girl will be the spy?
I'm just wondering why the hell certain people can pull off Dragonball-level feats like kicking a missile in mid-air. Without using a Mobile Suit or Mobile Fighter of their own.
Were people pulling that kind of stuff in G Gundam, out of curiosity?
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Yes, the characters in G Gundam were super-powered even without their Gundams. Domon and Master Asia once kicked a skyscraper several miles away.
Master Asia was introduced by destroying an MS using a bandana and then catching the bullets of another MS and using them to destroy it.
... god, I love G Gundam.
So, I haven't seen the latest episode, but I really, really do hate how Momoka got into GBN because she was trying to... just follow the main characters, I guess? Like, I know I'm analyzing a kid character in a children's show, but c'mon. That's almost offensively little agency for the female character and particularly weird because from the first episode, it didn't even seem like she knows Generic Kid and Generic Smart Kid that well. Also it less sends the message "girls can get into Gunpla" and more "girls, get into Gunpla for a boy" which was an annoying aspect of China. For all Try's flaws, at least Fumina liked Gunpla on her own.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Yeah, but Momoka doesn't seem to be joining GBO just because of Riku, she said she didn't want to feel left out and seemed to be genuinely interested in GBO after her guest session.

Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Yeah I am laughing at the Tequila Gundam appearance, like "lmao yeah right they sold a Tequila Gundam gunpla to be customized". Also funny you mentioned Gundam Wing and G Gundam now that I think about it, aren't they the first two Gundam shows that went international?

... that somehow leaves me more confused than before.
