Now I'm at the Gundam Karting episode.
Glad that they made Reiji and Iori lose. Always nice to see foul play be effective. The actual highlights of the episodes were Ral kicking C's ass, Iori's mom's spirited TV-watching and Reiji kicking down Mr. CEO's door.
The new OP is just as good as the previous one, and the ED is... adorable? Wha? Also liked Aila's scenes. Could have easily made her be angry at Reiji for some cheap drama, but they didn't.
Episode 14:
- It's Gundam Kart! Do what ya can to win!
- Unless it's foul play. Mr. Ral will not take that crap nicely.
- Nice rooting, Rinko!
- Maxter, you should stick to boxing.
- Hope you're proud of yourself, Mr.President. Because now, Reiji's gonna kick your- wait does Reiji actually remember you? And how did he know where you were?
Liked the new OP and ED.
Found this while looking through another forum board. An anon translated some info from the Start Build Strike High Grade and it explains the differences between the Discharge and Real Grade systems. Spoiler tagging just in case.
*The difference between the Discharge and RG systems is how the absorbed Plavsky particles are used.
*Discharge can be used as a weapon or for high-speed movement, while RG reinforces the inner parts to allow for higher performance.
*Plavsky particles normally interact with the exterior of the Gunpla. The RG system, which uses them to strengthen the inside of the Gunpla, is an original concept by Sei.

Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2You forgot that RG allows Shining Finger, according to the 2nd OP
hiIf so, he needs to upgrade to burning finger asap
youtube.com/Fire Trainer 92Episode 15: So Reiji really is a prince. He still lied about the fact that he greet with the guards politely though.
Nils dresses as a ninja to spy. Spying is ok. But dressing up as a Ninja? Nils, you're an African American, please do something more American-y.
The fight for Strike Build Gundam and Wing Fenice did NOT disappoint. AT ALL. How do I describe? IT'S AWESOME. So awesome that the audience are clapping after the battle!
Why does Gundam Build Fighter fight scenes are so awesome? Maybe I should hype a little higher next time.
Looks like Episode 16 won't be focusing the tournament. Instead, we get something better. Sei's dad!

holy God Gundam. that fight... it was AWESOME
Gundam Build Fighters shows us once again it knows how to do an epic 1 vs 1 battle. Was the end result predictable? Not really, a draw never even crossed my mind. I guessed Sei and Reiji would just win but it'd be close. Man am I glad to be wrong. The fight was perfect, great build up, execution, and conclusion. And we have 3 to 5 more fights like that in the next 10 episodes. I'd hate to say this, but get hyped.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Anyone notice the other names for the one-on-one fights when it was revealed Sei and Reiji would be fighting Fellini? I saw at least one reference there with "Raman Khan". Quebley pilot, I'm guessing. :P
but HOW?DAT FIGHT.
Also it seemed Ricardo has kept his Gunpla since he got into Gundam Wing when it came out. Thats so sweet. Manly Tears were shed.
Also, BEAM SHIELD CAPE WRAPPED AROUND FIST FUCK YEAH.
DAT SBS USING THE TRICK AMURO USED IN CCA.
11/10 EPISODE.

Truly, that was a man's battle.
Let's fly once again into the sky.
"I accept you resolution!"
I build, destroy, and build again.
"Does it hurt, Fenice?"
Hundreds of times. Again and Again.
"I made you to show the world that you are the strongest! So... Just hang in there a little longer. Okay, Partner?"
Sniff*
Dammit, Fellini. Why do you have to be so awesome?

Do we have a trope where a guy keeps something (car, gun, etc) and just keeps upgrading it when it breaks but keeps the base model of the original the same?
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2I can only think of Mid-Season Upgrade.
I think we need some kind of trope for that, like Refusal of Upgrade or something. Fellini embodies that.
My thoughts on the episode.
Man Fellini made me all misty eyed today, the love he has for Fenice Wing made me have so many flashbacks to my old HG Gundam Wing kits that my Grandad made for me when I was really little.
That fight was really gorgeously animated and it's rapidly climbing the charts for my favorite Gundam Fight.
This is definitely one of my favorite episodes in the series so far ton of action, showcases the love the series has for the franchise.
Looking forward to the next episode.

"So long as mankind exists, there will always be battles."Twitter says that Masami Obari was involved in this episode. It's kind of hard to spot his signature style if he's not drawing the scene cuts after all.

You know, for a show that's about selling little model robots, and making no secret of that fact, it's working. I really want to buy some Gunpla and make my own custom one...
Sadly, I don't think any of the Dakka heavy sets have been released in "Mix 'N Match parts" form yet...
I think I can sum up Gundam Build Fighters like this (I'll likely use this line when I eventually write a review for Gundam Build Fighters)
Remember when (or if) you were looking through all the Gundam series to watch and you came upon G Gundam. You're first thoughts when reading the description of the series was either "This is going to be awesome!" or "There is no way this could work!" and when you finished watching the series your reaction was either "That narmy" or "I can't believe it worked". Gundam Build Fighters is in the same boat as G Gundam. On paper the series is a story about Gundam Plastic Models (Gunpla) and doing battle with them. On paper, this sounds like a cheap Yu-gi-oh, Bayblade, or any other children's gotten catch m all or game series. In execution, it is like those series, but it does it so well you'll be surprised. Remember, Tropes are not bad, they help move a story. In Gundam Build Fighters case, the tropes, fanservice (in the form of many mythology gags and shoutouts to previous series), character development, and action all come to together in a very surprising package.

Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Indeed.
I finally caught up. Damn, I wasn't expecting a draw. Well, it satisfies everyone, which is a nice change in a Gundam series.

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI just realized something.
In Episode 1, Reiji recalls that this city is bigger than Arian. Does this counts as a foreshadowing?
I think people picked up on that awhile back.
It's just a palette swap done by 2ch / Sunrise themselves. Even the tagline isn't serious. 'Brain broadcast every sunday', heh.
Same as usual.... Wing it.
