I figure if I can keep ignoring the Artistic License – History I'll probably like this show, at least as a Guilty Pleasure. Anyone else?

So Mary's Mysterious Benefactor is named Clarissa. I wonder if that means that at some point she will explain it all.

Also Druids? In 16th century France? Let the Artistic License drinking games begin!

I like the show so far. I hope it last three seasons at least because it started in 1557 and Francis died in 1560.

I don't know if I should include spoilers since it is based on history but I did just in case anyone didn't want to be spoiled for the show.

When in doubt use spoilers. On the other hand I wouldn't use them for easily verifiable historical facts, just for things that happen in the show.

Finally Mary is learning to play the game!

A couple of days ago they announced that the CW ordered a full season for Reign.

I kknow. It's paradoxical that right now I find the "demon worshipping pagan" storyline the most interesting right now even though it's wildly inaccurate historically (there were no openly practicing pagans in Europe at that time) and kind of personally insulting since I'm a pagan myself.

This show is pretty great. Torrance Coombs, man.

It is rather unsettling. What do the showrunners so adamantly hate about babies?

I meant that it's a passive role given to the woman for the sake of drama. The man is only involved as much as he makes himself be but the woman is in trouble. These women used to be more active characters but it's as if the writers couldn't come up with enough things for them to do.
