SAO finished with a final chapter back in December of 2012, if I remembered correctly. Happy ending for Asuna and Kirito of course, with both of them going to the same university.
This duel won't make sense, though. Two different subjects. NASA funded the successful development of VR headgear back in 1989, so I won't declare winners in fall .

What are you talking about? It's still ongoing. We're near the end of the Underworld arc at the moment. It'll probably end next volume or so, unless we get a Giant Space Flea from Nowhere. Or are you talking about a manga or something?

Books 6 and 7, plus book 8 expected to be out by the middle of this year. People are expecting detours into sidestory material though , specifically Chief Nyanta's Recipe of Happiness (which can be inserted literally anywhere post-Round Table) and Dragonshowl Mountains.

SHOO SAO TALK SHOO
SEASON 2 CONFIRMED BABY.
You know what, I really like the way they displayed Nureha's lust for Shiroe. It was very subtle. For example, they had her stroking her finger on the sofa while he spoke, as if she was barely listening to anything he said, and was just thinking, "F*** me...f*** me now!".
In the book, she flat out tells him she wants him to ride her like a Harley, but this was a very PG way of conveying the same desire. Not sure which I like better...both have their merits.

I think I have to take a third option: it would have been better someplace in-between. The book version is too forceful while the anime version did not quite convey the sexual tension that she was creating while talking to him.
I can imagine her being slightly more explicit that joining her meant that he would have her as well (though her body language at the end with the reaching out for a hug can be interpreted that way) or Shiro reacting to her a bit more.
Oh, speaking of them talking, I just realized that this was another exposition scene that was handled EXTREMELY well. For all the talking in this show, there seems to always be something to look at while the person talks.
Final bit: I do not really know the plot of the un-traslated book 7, but I was spoiled on the result of it early in this thread when I asked a question about a certain issue/complication I saw involving (spoiled in case someone wants to put the clues together themselves) how Adventures could purchase land. Especially when it comes to someone unscrupulous owning an important piece of land or issues around not owning all the land needed to, say, ban a PK-er from a city. Nice foreshadowing once again with that montage at the end of the episode. "Gee, I wonder if he is going to do something with the money of the world..."

Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!Episode 25. In which a nine-tail appears.
They sure talked him down fast. But really, without any actual cargo it's a huge gamble.
The villain's smile when the nice nobleman walks away...
Lene sure enjoys being dragged around so much.
Why does Rundy always win those fashion contests?
Lene not being entirely adverse to Marie's usual self is amusing.
The best part of Nureha is her voice. Makes her approach come out rather well. I'm thinking a lot of Quattro, but less actually evil. And she was better than previously made out to be by this thread. I also agree that a little less cleaned up for minors might've been a good idea. Well, so far, anyway, since it wasn't really much. And her hair suits her ears. She probably had a better IRL figure, though.
I really do like Shiro's response. She probably fits far better as a villain than an ally. And she may be something he actually needs to develop further. Brings out a new side.
Check out my fanfiction!SAO was a web novel first, and it already concluded except a non canon gaiden.
I would agree. They handled the amount of talking in the series really well I think.
This is the first time I've seen realtors be so broken. Shouldn't work however. If your barred from the cathedral, you should just be kicked out as soon as you respawn. It shouldn't prevent you from respawning. It couldn't happen in the game, so there is no way the code would check for it. I suppose it could have been effective as a threat.
Not having read the book, it just came across as a seduction attack, in a sort of straight up power grab.
May have to read the book here I guess.

You can just check volume 5 interlude, that's where she appeared.
Speaking of which, any info which studio are going to handle Season 2? I don't think NHK will suffice for volume 6 onward.
Wait...What?edited 22nd Mar '14 7:17:32 PM by Prime32
He said Krusty named his cat "Nobody"
God he is terrible at names.
Mamare's favorite series is the same as my friends...also OTP is Isuzu and Rundel
Welp, they did say imageboards are bad news. *taking some steam off from reading*

Wait...What?A second season for this Fall simply means NHK is not pulling its punches. Actually, NHK have finally shifted gears; they were gradual with Domo-kun and their children's shows; now they're going all in.
I'm expecting 9 and 10 to be finished early next year. Log Horizon as a whole will be finished (in both media forms) by next year.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Hey, someone who might get my online-name-reference!
@ 4chan thread: I think that the confirmation of that map is the most important thing mentioned/have the most impact on the long-term story. Once the fairy rings and Gates are used more and world-geopolitics comes into play, that basic map would become quite useful.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!
What was wrong with the image board?
and yeah Mamare said fairy rings will soon be showing up in story.

Huh. The SEA ones are kinda weird. Searching for Pesilat on Wikipedia redirected me to Silat, the name of a martial art. There doesn't really seem to be a term referring to practitioners other than the more general Pendekar (which is next on the list), which is used for masters of the art or something like that.
Kshatriya...is a term referring to an entire caste. I guess it's not too far off from Samurai though; the Kshatriya include the military elite, which isn't too different from the Samurai.
I hope he does some research on the terms before finalising anything.

The SEA choices are mostly either Malay or Indonesian, which makes the lack of Philippine submissions galling.
I'm not too concerned about that, just how odd it is for a class to be named after the what it uses. It's like calling a Samurai a Katana or a Magician a Magic.

The North American ones are lame as hell.
Lumberjack? Okay, I know we only had astronauts and cowboys, but really?
x3 Recent one? I don't recall Kirito winning anything in the latest volume. All he got was Brainwashed and Crazy Eugeo attacking him, and Eugeo as an Integrity Knight is the strongest one in the entire arc. And the worst part is, he still remembers and uses all the Sword Skills and tactics Kirito taught him, so Kirito's essentially fighting a super-buffed AI version of himself.
Back on topic: So. Much. Hype. Do we have enough material for a second season though?
