is it just me, or does the horse in the screenshot look computer animated?
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.I'm sorry, the heaving bosoms keep distracting me from the horse...
i. hear. a. sound.Has a great cast, can't wait to see it.
Also, my In Which a Trope Is Described description of the film:
In which marrying for love works out a lot better for Richard Madden than it did in Game of Thrones.
Edit, edit, edit, edit the wikiIt doesn't look CGI, but there is something off about the picture.
I feel like Branagh's big sweeping-ness would be a good fit for a live action Cinderella, and Cate Blanchett should be a real treat as Lady Tremaine
I even remember reading an article from a while back where they said they were going to expand the story by having the ball be in celebration of the Prince's Arranged Marriage and Cindy's appearance being a Spanner in the Works. I don't know if they're still keeping that, but it would be funny in a really weird way if they do. Also, we'd probably get a whole bunch of "Red Wedding Disney style" jokes afterwards.
Looking for some stories? This actually sounds like they intent to do the movie Walt Disney himself couldn't do. In the original plans of Cinderella, the Charming was suppose to have a much larger role and there was one scene when he goes hunting in the woods. They had to scrap this because at this time, they still had way to much trouble to animate a realistic looking young man. In fact, it was eventually Prince Phillip who got all the scenes they couldn't do for one reason or another in Snow White and Cinderella (riding through the woods, having to flee the dungeon, dancing into the clouds)
Why do I think there's gonna be a few hammy moments (I'm looking at you, Helena BonHam Carter) ?

It disappoints me that it is a remake of the Disney animated film... that probably means it won't take a darker vision of the fairy tale, which is what would actually make me watch it.

I think the "off" thing about the picture is that the girl is slightly off the horse; Its in mid gallop and she's in mid-bounce.
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.I will be sorely disappointed if this film lacks foot mutilation and pecked-out eyes.
Look for Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers, Jim Carrey and Rosie O Donnell to voice the mice!
It would still be better than their voices in the original movie. Yeah, I went there.
Looking for some stories?Double posting because I found a very detailed description of the trailer shown at CinemaCon. Sounds like they're sticking pretty close to the animated film in the visuals department.
Looking for some stories?Goodness, that writer made putting a cat on a leash sound like the film had brought Orson Welles back from the dead.

Though then again we haven't seen the cat or the leash. If it is a behemoth cat with a leash forged upon the bones of her foes, I'd be very impressed.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I think the fact that she managed to get a cat on a leash is proof of how tough she is.
Looking for some stories?Teaser trailer!
Is...is Disney actually gonna get this one right? Yeah, it's just a teaser, but I feel like the right tone and sentiment is already there.

Looking for some stories?Kinda reminds me of those old Wonderful World of Disney spots.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here....Oh my god. They did it! They ACTUALLY did it! It's a live-action adaptation that doesn't seem to pandering to the 'Alice In Burtonland' crowd! I know it's just a teaser, but it's already a heck of a lot better than Alice or (probably) Maleficent.
I babble on about Disney and old film.I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being the only live-action Disney remake I like in a non-Guilty Pleasure way.
To slightly change the subject: I know it's not as big a role as what Cate and Helena are doing, but I'm a little surprised that there's been no fuss over Derek Jacobi playing the King. Why? Because Derek ****ing Jacobi is playing one of the greatest hams in the Disney Animated Canon, that's why. Even if the movie turns out to be bad, one awesome thing will be gotten from it.
Also, the international trailers have the title design. Here.◊

Looking for some stories?Boy do I love looking at a shoe for a whole minute.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."One of the most exhilarating experiences of the year!
i'm no expert on womens' fashion, but that glass slipper looks very uncomfortable to walk in.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
Disney's new tradition of going live-action on their fairy tales continues. This one may actually be good, though. Branagh and all that.
