Oh, I'm interested.
Same here
Good to be backOh oh oh sigh me up!

-dramatic music ensues-Alrighty! Four is about the most I'm looking for right now.
You can all make your character sheet, then:
- Name:
- Age: (18 and up, please...unless there's some sort of special circumstance. I'm trying to run a legitimate business here.)
- Physical Description: (We'll need this in case we have to identify your slime-covered remains)
- Traits: (Divide twelve [12] points between the following, and pick one [1] Talent for each [pages 3-5 in the Training Manual]. You must have at least 1 point in each Trait, but no more than 5.)
- Brains:
- Muscles:
- Moves:
- Cool:
- Goal: (Pick one from the manual or run one by me for approval)
- Residence:(Not absolutely necessary, but it might be nice to know how far you live from the Warehouse)
- History: (Why do you want to be a Ghostbuster?)
Here are my two: (Da Boss and Da Receptionist)
- Name: Angelo Marconi
- Age: 39
- Physical Description: Da Boss (Resemblance to a prominent Resident Evil cast member is purely coincidental)
- Traits:
- Brains: 3 - Bureaucratics
- Muscles: 3 - Intimidate
- Moves: 2 - See
- Cool: 4 - Fast Talk
- Goal: Money
- Residence: GBI Warehouse, Second floor
- History: Angelo Marconi comes from a long line of legitimate businessmen. He's continuing the fine tradition of starting legitimate businesses by opening New Jersey's first Ghostbusters International (GBI) franchise. Deep down, he's a skeptic, but he won't argue with the money that can be made busting ghosts.
- Name: Carmen Marconi
- Age: 20
- Physical Description: Da Receptionist
- Traits:
- Brains: 3 - Occult
- Muscles: 2 - Run
- Moves: 4 - Gossip
- Cool: 3 - Charm
- Goal: Serving Humanity
- Residence: Downtown Apartment near Rutgers Newark
- History: Carmen took a summer job helping her uncle with his business venture. She is a member of the Rho Kappa Epsilon (PKE) sorority at Rutgers. She's majoring in business, but she dabbles in paranormal studies in her spare time.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll drop more details about the setting as everyone gets themselves situated.
Hopefully, everyone can see the manual, but if you can't, let me know and I'll get you the information you need.

Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.Oh god that's brilliant
So is this going to be set in the 80s then or modern day?
hashtagsarestupidCan we submit ghosts and spirits to hunt?
Good to be backHandy-Dandy Character Creation Guide◊
Just dropping this here.
Also, if you're creating a ghost, their stats look like this:
- Special Abilities: (These are things like possession, making noises, eating things larger than its body, etc.)
- Power: (How many dice a ghost rolls to perform any action.)
- Ectopresence: (The ghost's hit points. When they are reduced to 1, the ghost can be trapped, when it is reduced to 0, the ghost is destroyed. Keep in mind that they can then reform after a certain period of time...)
- Goal: (The ghost's primary purpose.)

Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway. That's a great bit of help. Thanks!
Mid 90s seems a good time period. It's not too long ago but long enough to give the game some 'distance' from the events of the movies.
hashtagsarestupidThat's what I was going for. Actually, this campaign would be taking place only 3 years after the video game.
I plan on using a mishmash of continuities from the movies, cartoon, and video game (but the antagonist won't be Gozer.)
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway. How about the antagonists being a rival group of unlicensed ghost busters consisting of two old guys and talking monkey
...Too Meta?

hashtagsarestupidFor the record, I actually liked that show.
They might make a cameo, but I already have an idea for the main antagonist.
Besides, they sorta made an appearance in The Real Ghostbusters, so it wouldn't be too out there.
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.Okay here's my idea for a character. My general idea was a Smart Guy with the reverse traits of Egon. A Hot-Blooded Phasmophobia as oppose to The Stonic Nightmare Fetishist.
- Name: Giuseppe 'joey' Incognito Rodrigues.
- Age:'college age',22..ish
- Traits:
- Brains: 4 •••• Medicine 7 ••••• ••
- Muscles: 3 ••• Run 6 ••••• •
- Moves: 3 ••• Dodge 6 ••••• •
- Cool: 2 •• Bargain 5 •••••
- Goal: Serving Humanity (For now I could see him doing Humane Science, just not the of 'soulless' type. Plus there's Fox Mulder Missing sister plotline potential there)
- Residence:Some where near by in New jersey I guess?
- History: Giuseppe's parents immigrated to New York in the late 60s and came to live at 55 Central Park West in New York City. He was a young boy during the events the first movie.
Coming from a relatively poor upbringing and , Giuseppe parents followed stereotype and pushed their only son into intense education in the hopes he would become a doctor or equally respected career choice, although he disappointedly displayed a lack of natural affinity towards academia and preferred physical activity.
Giuseppe disobey his family and the army Evacuation orders during the Fateful night of the coming of Gozer to get a glimpse of the ghost busters in action and and became an deep admirer of their actions. Only later today find out his parents had been squished and his older sister missing presumed creamed after taking shelter in a local church that was destroyed by the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. Man talk about Irony!
After his parents death. He dedicated his time to become a respected doctor like his 'Ma' wanted for him. He was able to scrap to top of his class and eventually got a sport scholarship to study medicine at a New Jersey University.
While looking for part time jobs in a art to pay for bills he saw an opening for a position at Ghostbusters New Jersey and knew he couldn't let the opportunity of his childhood dream of busting ghosts slipping him by...
Giuseppe is a big admirer and a true believer in The Ghostbusters as an organisation, Although he finds the reality of supernatural forces a frightening and Spiritually disturbing concept. He considers ghosts to be something good catholic boys don't believe in.

hashtagsarestupidOkay, everything looks good, except you have too many total points. You used 14 when you should only have used 12.
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.crapola.
Well I'll deduct one 🎲 from brain and one 🎲 from muscle because why mess with the Pattern?

hashtagsarestupidWould it be possible to have a Flat Earth Aetheist who really only went on the job to pay the bills and frequently spouts out stupid/nonsensical scientific explanations?
Good to be backDo you mean someone who acknowledges ghosts but likes to think of them in a 'rational' way or some one who will genuinely Zap 'em, Cap 'em n Trap 'em and then go on how it was probably 'just Swamp gass'.
hashtagsarestupidYeah, like he'll explain the whole "Ghosts" in various ways including "We have all just ingested poisoned wine and those flying skulls were just birds who had gone rabid and tried to kill us,"

Good to be backUp to the ghost master but sounds amusing.
'You may think the Ghostbusters were able to magically move the Statue of Liberty by harnessing the aspects of Positive energy and psychoactive glop. The truth is it had been slowly moving inland over several years thanks to the magnetic attraction of the shifting polar forces and the rotation the earth.
hashtagsarestupidActually it would be more like "They clearly used their metric asstons of money to convert it into a low level automaton,"
"What about the slime?"
"The Goverment labs had a malfunction ending with an experimental bio-weapon getting spewed everywhere which magnified emotions ten-fold."

hashtagsarestupidregrettably I dont have as much time as I thought and cant participate in this RP
-dramatic music ensues-
Do you believe in UFOs, astral projections, mental telepathy, ESP, clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trance mediums, the Loch Ness monster and the theory of Atlantis?
Then you're in luck! We have a few openings at Ghostbusters: Newark with your name on it!
I'm planning on making a Ghostbusters RP based on the old pen and paper Ghostbusters: A Frightfully Cheerful Roleplaying Game game.
I still need some time to hammer out certain details, (like how to handle Brownie Points) but I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in trying this.
Feel free to leave any suggestions or questions!
