And then there was silence... Wait, do you mean the gorilla-tank game that came with... the compiler for Basic bundled with some version of DOS or an early version of Windows, I think that it was?
If so, then wow, that does bring back some memories — thank you. ^_^
As to another game for this thread, hmmm... I don't know how well-remembered it is outside of myself, but I don't think that I've seen much mention of Tunnels of Armageddon.
My Games & WritingIf knowledge of it is preserved by TV Tropes or The Other Wiki it probably doesn't count even if it's absolutely unheard of anywhere else, especially if either of the aforementioned sources also link to someplace where it can be obtained or a retrieval effort is underway.
Red Tongue for the Atari.
I swear to god this is this most forgotten video game of all time. I probably have the only copy left in the world and even I don't know where it is.
The game starts off with you being a red guy against a black background. There is nothing that can be called a floor. It's just him and that space. You move left or right, and there's nothing until you push him for about five minutes. Then there's another red guy.
He comes over to you and speaks in an atari bleep, a language long since dead. But it seems to roughly translate to "I'm going to cut off your tongue" since that's exactly what happens. As gory as the Atari can possibly make it, the guy cuts off your tongue. It's futile. You can't fight him.
After that's done, you can move again. The weird thing is though, that you move with four legs now and all the gory details. You keep going and the same stuff happens. You do this five times and a message in the midst of all that carnage spells one word.
"FUTILE"
"we have to get vaccines against hunger"I would wager that this is thread was intended for actual video games, not creepypasta stories. note

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)also, I doubt such a game could have been seen as profitable in anyway.
Besides, something like that would have been at least famous for being so bad, ala Big Rigs Over The Road Racing.

I'm baaaaaaackWWF No Mercy for the Nintendo 64. Probably one of the best wrestling games of all time.
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.
Before you start mentioning all sorts of "obscure" games, please read this from What is Amulets & Armor? downwards.
The story about that game had me wondering if there were other games that suffered from a similar fate, and if there were others that are yet to be rediscovered and revisited by its owners.
