Fate barely flinches as she turns to face both of the other girls.

"You know, sneaking up behind someone in a battle arena could easily be misinterpreted."

-Piroko adjusts her aim slightly, lining up a perfect headshot on Homura-

-she fires a couple bursts-

The strange aerial craft zooms over the desert city, and makes a fly-by over the hangar.

Suddenly, a humanoid figure, clad in strange metal armour, leaps from the craft, and falls hundreds of feet to the sand below, directly in front of the hangar.

The figure hits the ground hard in a Three-Point Landing, leaving a small crater, before casually getting up, seemingly unharmed, dusting off his shoulder, and starts to stride towards the fighters in an Unflinching Walk, his craft descending smoothly into the hangar behind him.

(Homura notices Piroko's aim shift, and leaps to the side in time to avoid the bursts)

(though one of the rounds managed to shoot her through the forehead)

(and yet she's still alive, though with blood running down her face - and pointing a shotgun at Piroko now)

(to Fate, her voice shifting ever-so-slightly in pain) ...Noted.

"Why fire? Her intentions were not yet clear."

She looks at the newcomer, but doesn't exactly panic trying to keep an eye on everybody.

She also notices that Homura's survived a wound that should have been fatal. Hmm... interesting. Illusion, magical immunity, or... not a normal human?

Either way, it seems that I will have to be cautious if she's my opponent. But then, all these possible opponents seem to be people to be wary of.

-Piroko backflips away from shotgun range, taking a second to line up another shot-

Well, this ought to be fun. The Soldier's equipped with the default loudout. This includes a Rocket Launcher, a Shotgun, and a military-grade shovel. He also is equipped with Grenades that he probably won't use for throwing because...reasons. That's about it. Where are y'all at?

Jane, uh...'waddles' the best he can down the lane of shops, managing to grab a vibrantly painted first-aid kit laying around, fixing his legs in an instant. Almost like magic....

But, seeing as he's now on an alien planet with no actual target...what better time to commit some war crimes! Off he charges into town, with...well, really nobody interesting in sight.

Yet.

The figure takes absolutely no notice to the fighting going on ahead of him, and continues walking coolly towards the group.

On closer inspection, he is unarmed, and armour covers him from head to toe, even his eyes.

Upon reaching the edge of the commotion, he stops...

...and strangely, starts pacing around in circles, while apart from keeping his head turned in their general direction, appears to be paying little to no attention to the group at all.

Fate scratches her head. Emotionlessly.

(Homura scowls, now sprinting to the side to try and get Piroko's aim off her)

(quickly putting away the shotgun, she then pulls out a red phosphorus smoke grenade then primes and tosses it, intent on creating a smokescreen)

Man, desert towns are boooooring.

Jane was bored. He was carrying a shovel. And he wanted to bludgeon someone with it. Some commotion off in the distance catches his attention, prompting him to do the obviously most intelligent thing in such a situation, pull out a rocket launcher and blast off towards it. And probably smack someone upon landing. Hopefully.

But probably not.

Fate calmly walks aside, away from the two combatants, her face revealing nothing.

I am to prove myself. Mother will likely be disappointed in me if I continue to delay. She may be watching right now. Nonetheless, what do I prove with a surprise attack on someone already engaged in combat?

And then a combat boot or two slams into her head, easily breaking through the Defenser shield which flashes up - it was prepared to deflect bullets, not people.

(oh hey, guess what's coming out of the smoke)

(nothing much - just a barrage of about five or six Stinger missiles, all locked on)

Aren't those anti-aircraft missiles?

They can be used as such, but can be switched between free-fire and anti-air modes.

(one of the bullets grazes Homura's left leg, who jumps to the side again)

(as the smokescreen starts to fade, Homura looses an automatic barrage of incendiary rounds from an M4 towards Piroko's prone form)

(despite the wound on her leg, Homura does a dodge-roll to get out of the grenade's path)

(as it explodes behind her, Homura puts away the M4, primes one of her homemade bombs, and lobs it towards the still-prone Piroko)

Ha, sorry. Just was expecting anyone to respond to the bright red man flying in via explosions. I'll be signing off after this, though. Sleep and shit.

More screaming, follows by a thump and the clang of a missed shovel swing on...uh...someone announced Jane's new arrival.

"HA! DID I GETCHA? I GOTCHA DIDN'T I! YES! HA! TAKE THAT YOU NINNIES!" He yells, facedown on the ground, still delusional.

-Piroko is crouching by now, and is able to get out of the bomb's blast radius in time-

-nonetheless, a chunk of shrapnel embeds itself in her forearm-

-she flees to cover and starts to pull it out-

Strangely, the figure seems to have disappeared under everyone's noses as they fought...

A deep, ancient voice echoes through the Arena, speaking... to nobody in particular, but it is loud enough for all to hear.

I heard whispers of a faraway land where beings would clamber from all over the universe for a fight with a worthy opponent. It seems I have come to the right place... But I must admit, I am quite disappointed.
