I kinda like that. A single image with clear numbers, and green usually represents healing. If it's poison, I tend to see it in a different shade. It does require the basic knowledge of what those numbers are, but on a Video Game trope, that much can be assumed to be common knowledge.

Check out my fanfiction!I kinda like it too. Would it help if we had the spell's name in the image, or mention it in the caption?
The skill is called "Drain". It's from Final Fantasy X. The game uses a help bar at the top to identify attacks during battles.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI think it would help if that box could be edited in, if it's done well enough to not clash.
Check out my fanfiction!Agreed.
Clock is set.
Is there still time to the OP suggestion?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've run out of time to do significant work in here, so this can certainly sit and gather more s.
I say the flashes of light illustrate nothing. And the trope is not so hard to understand that two differently-colored numbers would make it any clearer, even for a reader familiar with RP Gs.
Maybe this? [1]◊

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
I like that better than the OP. It's more interesting.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. That seems better, yes.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI dunno, it looks good indeed, but it could also be interepreted as Your Soul Is Mine!.

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeYeah, tht's Your Soul Is Mine!.
I like the OP. The smaller points of light flowing to Wakka illustrate movement, which works for this trope.
I have a message from another time...+1 for "the last suggestion looks too close to Your Soul Is Mine!".
...that brings the question - would it work better on that page? The pic on there seems more like soul destruction than soul stealing.

I think it's slightly better on that page. Not a lot, but a little.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Same for me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAlright, I'll start a thread for that one soon. Here's the OP at 350...thoughts?
I like it.
Check out my fanfiction! It works well enough for me.
Restating my previous support.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI don't like it. Two differently-colored numbers? The entire message is "an attack that damages your opponent and heals you", which is communicated clearly by those words. It is not communicated clearly by that image.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
The previous thread settled on keeping imageless. I'm fine with it, but here's an option that wasn't presented.◊
