Agreed.
While I disagree with her actual appearance, the new image does a good job of illustrating the trope. It's also better quality, and it doesn't explicitly refer to the trope name.
Check out my fanfiction!I agree too that the new image is a better illustration of the trope.
And that's not at all because I already added it to ImageSource.Other.
What @3 says.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI like the original version way better.
I like the original image better because the reactions present sum it up quite nicely to me - and it's generally far more readily distinguishable vs the new image, where I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at.
If we can find a better quality version of the first image, I'd prefer to go for it.
She's a bit off-shot, but would this◊ work?
Close, but I'd rather see more of the nurse.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I prefer the original. It helps that she's the Trope Namer.
I did find this. We could always crop the text out.
A bit of advice for the faint of heart: don't do an unfiltered GIS for "Hello Nurse". Eek.

The Trope Namer and the trope aren't the same thing. That makes the Trope Namer image misleading, compounded by the trope name. Going to disagree, consequently.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIn almost all cases, I think an image not showing the Trope Namer is best. If the trope name and page image are different, it makes it much easier to find the actual trope in the overlap. In this case, showing someone who isn't a nurse shows that the trope isn't specifically about nurses, which is very much implied otherwise, but about characters other characters find attractive to the point of distraction.
Check out my fanfiction! As the person who switched the picture, I have to subjectively say that I can't see how the original image is a better representation of the trope than the current one. The original looks like it'd be more appropriate for a Character Sheet or Hospital Hottie; it definitely didn't convey "...when she walks past, others take leave of their senses and devolve into a steaming mass of drool, totally consumed by lust."
But then, I may be a bit biased.
—R.J.
Yes, you're biased and you should be horribly ashamed of yourself. I think you're right, but you should be ashamed of yourself nonetheless.

Check out my fanfiction!I like the original better. Should we crowner this?
Pinball cleanup threadThe opinions seem clearly split, so yes a crowner would be good.
to the original one.
Crowner's hooked. Can someone possibly run the original pic through an artifact cleanup?
Going ahead and giving this a vote bump since IP's been out of commission for the day.
One more votes bump.
Honestly I fail to see how the new pic even depicts the trope.
All the people and animals gaffing after the woman in the middle doesn't illustrate the trope?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt depicts a character all other characters go ga-ga over. Does it need more?
Check out my fanfiction!Since we lost time with the wiki being down, I'm going to give this one more day before looking to call it.
I honestly don't think any of the current suggestions are as good as they could be.
I've been searching for Melody of Josie and the Pussycats from Archie Comics, but haven't yet found anything online with multiple males flipping out over her beauty, in spite of the fact I know there are many pics like that.
At the moment, the best I can find are this:
And this:
The first is better because it's obvious the boys are reacting to Melody. The second isn't as good because it looks more like she's simply jinxing everyone around her, but it's also funnier than the first.
I could also try to to a montage from a story where Melody believes she's a "janx" (jinx, mispronounced) because whenever she's around, boys seem to have accidents and/or flip out.
