Well, this is just how she's starting out - I'm sure we'll see interesting things from her.
She's a little more...high-key than Kirito was starting out though.
Oh God! Natural light!I'm fully expecting Leafa to be the complete opposite of how Suguha acts, just to throw Kirito off.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)And then he beat him up in real life too.
The video is gone from Youtube thanks to copyright
Place your past in a book burn the pages let them cook.
Wait how was cutting him in half and having him fall face first on his sword tame?
He did enough damage that said vile human was effected by said damage in the real world where he was beaten again and wet himself when kirito contemplated slitting his enemies throat in the hospital parking lot.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaOne thing I'm curious about now having watched the episode again, is if Something Witty will plan to play up Kirito's PTSD more like they did at the start of the episode. The original anime started to, but then it all got dropped like a wet blanket when Asuna's coma took over the plot.
Awww I missed it.
Anyone want to give me the rundown ?
It's on their facebook page.
I sense some more Adaptational Heroism, since it didn't sound like Kirito got the email tip-off about Asuna at the end from Agil.
Oh hey, on that note, next episode we might get an explanation for why he went by Tiffany last season.
Current earworm: "Awe of the Unknown"Just watched it. Thanks.
So uh... this show gets kind of creepy in the second season doesn’t it ?
Yep, it's the later seasons that cause a lot of the hate. The first season was just average at best, but the next ones are where it gets bad.
To be exact Alo Fairy Dance is the second half of the first season.
Season 2 is death gun, calibur and Mother's Rosario
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaI'd argue it was already kind of creepy in the Aincrad arc thanks to those lingering and gratuitous ass shots (especially involving Silica), but that's easy to overlook after the attempted rape that comes up later. It's gonna be hard to make the climax with Sugou funny, even if Asuna's laying into him with the insults the whole time.
On the upside, the tentacle slugs should be fine, if SWE makes the most of Asuna's Aren't You Going to Ravish Me? moment in Episode Five.
Current earworm: "Awe of the Unknown"I'm pretty sure Agil wanted to play as a girl for whatever reason, and when Kayaba changed his appearance, he was stuck as a guy.
It's been 3000 years…It took nearly a month, but Episode 12 is back on YouTube. Good to have subtitles again, though even with them on I'm not sure what Suguha's yelling during the smash cut to the kendo match.
Also, turns out Bennigan's is a real Irish-themed casual restaurant that went bankrupt in 2008 before being bought up in 2015. It does have some international locations, just none in Asia, but they've still got some time before 2025.
Current earworm: "Awe of the Unknown"Honestly, I thought it would take longer for it to get back up.
Any explanation for why it was taken down? Also, any changes in the video itself? Like, did some music track get removed (thus indicating a copyright conflict)?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. She's yelling "Come To Me" very quickly.
I read that in the subtitles, and I can kind of hear it when I listen to the clip repeatedly, but I'm still skeptical because it doesn't seem to fit the situation. Like, she's the one charging him, y'know? Unless it's a Freudian slip, or Suguha shouting out her true feelings in the midst of combat as a way to get them out of her system at a time Kirito probably won't hear her.
Current earworm: "Awe of the Unknown"Oh yeah, doesn't Suguha basically want to fuck Kirito? Or something along those lines?
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? From my understanding, being a female character in Sword Art Online, the answer is universally "Yes"
She seems to be fond of him more then one is fond of a family member would be. Part of it seemed to be that after ignoring her for so long when he came back out of SAO and started talking to her more again she seemed to get the wrong idea from all the attention. I could be wrong on some of the details though.
not exactly it is more like if your female you have a high chance of flirting with him or him seeing you in your underwear.

"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaOr him watching you get molested by a monster, tentacled or human.
Having watched most of the unabridged series, for research purposes of course, my findings were that Suguha was indeed attracted to Kirito. The good(?) news is that they're only(?) cousins, which makes it okay(?), the bad news is that I believe she was attracted to him before she learned that from her mom while Kirito was in his video game-induced coma.
And honestly? I hope SWE keeps that part of her characterization. Even the original series tried to play the situation more for angst than comedy - since Suguha knew that her cousin-brother wouldn't return her affections, she tried to get over him, only to fall for his video game avatar and proceed to have a little breakdown. So if SWE could take canon!Kirito's informed flaws and make a fleshed-out character from them, I'm mighty curious what they could accomplish with Suguha's gimmick.
And like others in the thread have pointed out, all this physical and emotional abuse could be hints of a very harsh take on the Loving Bully trope. I suppose we'll see... over the course of the next few years. Goddammit, Final Fantasy VII Machinabridged has spoiled me after 10 episodes of weekly updates.
Current earworm: "Awe of the Unknown"Say, after Sugou is inevitably defeated, how do you think Asuna meeting Suguha for the first time and learning about how she treats Kirito would go like? Do you think Asuna would take great offense over Suguha's sociopathic bullying of the former's (online) husband (though probably for the "wrong" reasons — e.g. "ONLY I GET TO DO THAT TO KIRITO, BITCH!")?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
I liked it. Not sure how I feel about Suguha. I get what they were going for, but she comes across to me as obnoxious to the viewer. I could easily see myself hating her before long.
