The example section really needs work. What are notes in passing anyway?
For the name... Hands On History Homework?
Yeah, this name is awful. And it has only 30 wicks and inbounds.
As for the sorting, that should be in the usual sorting order.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYes, that's not a good name and we should change it. I should further note that the movie is 24 years old, so it was released before many tropers had been born.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! It's pretty clear what needs to be done, but to follow proper procedure, I'm making a crowner for a rename.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I sorted them, but I still kept the split between "done throughout a series" and "done in one or two episodes". There are several Zero Context Examples. I know some of these have titles that obviously indicate time travel and education in their names, but I'm listing them all, anyway.
Entire Series
Literature Live-Action TV
- Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego (Was originally in "Has episode(s) of the trope")
- Later, there was one called "Where in America's Past is Carmen Sandiego", which focuses on a specific part of history. (Not Zero Context, but the series mentioned above is)
- Time Squad
- Time Warp Trio
- Peabody's Improbable History
- U.S. of Archie, sort of
Has episode(s) of the trope
Live-Action Television
- Boy Meets World did it twice.
- The Sabrina the Teenage Witch spinoff novel Salem's Tales, did it.
- One of the main purposes of the Imagination Station on Adventures in Odyssey — virtual reality, but Your Mind Makes It Real.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Crowner's hooked.
For brainstorming alternatives, I wouldn't mind a title like Field Trip to the Past.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.That's a pretty good one.
....wow, that got 12 yes votes pretty fast
That's because it's an Excellent Crowner
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! And because the current name is terrible. How long do we have to wait to call this?
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Until it has 15 votes, usually.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanUpvoted on basis of Trope Namer Syndrome and the fact that the Trope Namer movie is an irritating waste of a perfectly good DVD.
On an unrelated note, I threw in an example from The Magic School Bus.

Three days.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I know we usually wait 3 days, but as this has not garnered a single opposing vote, should we call this early?
It's past 72 hours, but I don't think it may count as three days.
I think we can call this.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I've requested the crowner call, but I accidentally made the alt names crowner under Page Action - I've made a second proper Alt Names.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe new crowner's hooked and the title's adjusted.
Bump for votes.
Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
So, this trope suffers from a case of naming a trope after a work. The title gives absolutely no indication of what it is about, which is a stock episode about going back in time to a point in history and learning about it. The title is from Bill And Teds Excellent Adventure. Anyone who hasn't heard of the movie, such as myself, would have no idea what this trope is about from the title alone. The page itself is also a mess, since the works aren't categorized normally for some reason. A current (unused) redirect is History Homework By Time Travel, which is a little too specific, but far more indicative.
