Demonstrates perfectly.

However, it's blurry.

Google Image Search turns up nothing.

It's illustrating the exact opposite of the trope...I'm giving it a [tdown].

I think illustrating the opposite is fine since it's an assumed trope and only aversions are listed.

Wouldn't say no to a quality upgrade.

Can't find any higher quality either. Starting a search for what episode it's from so i can take a shot myself.

I'd say go for a quality upgrade. Even though it's the opposite, it still demonstrates.

I'm not sure that it does demonstrate the trope, which is "in fiction, no two characters have the same name because that would be confusing". This is related, but it feels like it's demonstrating something else entirely.

Not a good image. Besides, there's a certain charm to "gatherings of people named X" note  that is irrelevant to the One-Steve Limit in the first place.

Well, to my knowledge, the trope page lists aversions, and the caption says "that's what happens if this trope's ignored".

But the caption is not helping.

Keep, it's funny, it shows an aversion, the examples is about aversions.

Possible quality upgrades:

Quality swap with @11, otherwise Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

Any of the versions in 11 work great as a quality swap...I lean toward the second or third. Since the page lists exceptions, I can live with the pic.

I say the third. Having (presumably) the main characters looking at it like it's weird highlights the strangeness.

I've never been that solid on exactly what crowners are, but if they are what I think they are, this is the time for one.

Usually, we use crowners here when more than one course of action has been suggested and they all have significant support/opposition.

I see. The question still remains, do we use 11.2 or 11.3?

[up] Looking at it again, I'd lean toward 11.3, for the kids looking at it if nothing else.

We got a few votes for 11.3 and quality upgrades are free anyway. Swapped the image but I didn't add the "Image selected per Image Pickin' thread:" line as I'm not really sure this count as 'picked' yet.

I feel like we should just put it there anyway, for the next party of adventurers who realise that it's a picture of an aversion.

Add my vote for the version with the kids. And Add the "Picked by IP <thread #X>" tag to the page.

I think the caption is misleading. The Convention Of Steves is just a one-off event in a single episode, in a series that otherwise obeys the One-Steve Limit. That means it's Not An Aversion, just a singular oddity.

A better caption could be something along the lines of "Hey Ferb, how do they tell each other apart if they're all named Steve?", or whatever actual response (if any) the characters gave to the event.
