THE THUNDERSTORM THREAD *CRACK BOOOM*

Post in this thread whenever a thunderstorm occurs near where you live.

I wish -sigh- . I love nothing more than a nice, proper tempest. Hell, one of my greatest fantasies was shagging my significant other on a riverbed in the middle of a roaring thunderstorm. Well, a gobshite can dream .

We had a sun shower around 7 pm. Now we're just waiting to see what kind of Wrath of God style storm will be upon us when this heat wave breaks.

It just stopped storming. In Georgia we get rain every day all summer. Which means that my satellite TV is constantly out.

Light rain and slight thunderstorms over here in houston. Not excited :l

We had a big ol storm today. It was the hottest day on record in July For Melbourne, then in true Melbourne fashion, turned on itself and became a maelstrom.

I live in Florida, we get WEIRD weather.

Like, we rarely get thunderstorms; it starts POURING rain and then Suddenly stops and then 10 minutes later it storms again.

A good thunderstorm is a rarity, and that makes me sad.

I live in DC, we get thunderstorms pretty much every afternoon during the summer. NYEEEEEEAAAHHH

I like thunderstorms. :) Just as long as they don't come with power outages or tornadoes. >_>

Now is the time for dissolution into the unconscious.

The sky - at least what I can see of it through the trees - is completely clear, but the air is still crackling and booming. And the wind looks/sounds like a breezy 20 miles per hour or so. It feels like I'm at the climax of an action movie or something.

You lucky bastards. All I have are heat advisories until late tomorrow afternoon, and it's only 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Though it is supposedly going to storm tonight...

Same for me. I'm all right with the heat, just as long as I don't move around too much. (Does typing on the keyboard count?)

Looks like a minor thunderboomer be brewin' here. Wouldn't bother me except my dog is afraid of thunder, so she'll be all up in my room lookin at me like "Can't you make this stop?"

Love that dog, but damn if that don't get irritating when I'm tryin' to do...well, anything really.

@Draven Yeah my dog has the tendency to want to climb into people's laps when it happens, and he's a big dog too.

Yeah, I can totes relate. Poor ol' girl...arthritic in the hip, and that's likely a part of it. Anyway, she's FAR too big to be a lapdog, but she'll try anyway.

It's just, that's a bit different from her normal "embodiment of chill" routine that makes everybody love her, even total strangers.

@Draven Oh yours is getting old too, mine has slowed down because of that. Its kind of sad to see :(.

Yeah he's the same way, always trying to be a lapdog despite being to big :).

Currently suffering a storm here!

The storm we've been waiting for all week is starting. grabs the popcorn

for the past month there's been a storm every day where I'm at.

I was at the movies. While I was out, a huge storm tore up all the trees in my neighborhood.
