Patrick scowled, as he looked around the room he found himself in. While he definitely was frightened by this sudden change in environment, he was more just pissed off at any number things. Partly himself for getting stuck in whatever bullshit this was. Partly those guys who had promised him that cool card for his daughter. He couldn't remember where he got drugged but the blackout probably fuzzed up that memory.
Bringing his focus back to the present, the ex-wrestler audibly sighed. He had no idea what either of these doors held or what the symbolism on them stood for. Being a skeptical man, Patrick avoided the angelic door; too many weird cults worshiped angels of death for him to feel comfortable around that kind of imagery. Having a very devout bitch of an ex-wife did not help those matters. Patrick steeled himself, walked up to the light bulb door, and knocked.

Tony sat in the middle of the room with a thoughtful look on his face. Separate the Three. What the heck does that even mean? Three what? Feeling that this train of thought was going straight into a dead end, Tony decided to check his Disk instead, much to his disappointment to the cards inside.
"Aw dude, what is up with these cards? Gyroid? I'm surprised they still have that card in production."
Tony stood up to take a look around. Ominous torches on walls, but that didn't matter. He checked out the two doors. Forests weren't really his thing, so definitely not the bamboo door. Let's check out the one with the statue instead. Putting his headphones up to his ears, he walked forward and gave the door a push.

As Arthur said this he looked around the room, wondering what the hell was going on.
"Well, only two doors. Probably not what that means."
With a sigh he walked toward the door with the lightning meteor on it and attempted to open it.

Leonidas felt uneasy. It wasn't that he had woken up in a stony, presumably underground, dungeon, though. It was that said dungeon wasn't his bunker. He didn't even have his shotgun.
And most importantly... what was with the crabs? He cautiously made his way towards the door with the crabs on it, wanting to see what was on the other side.
As Patrick touched his door, the decorations flashed and disappeared, leaving the door completely blank. A moment later, a screech echoed behind him, and he turned to see what appeared to be a cartoonish ambulance swerve out of the wall and into the room, pulling a tight turn to end up facing him. A moment later, where it's headlights would be, eyes opened up, glaring at the man in front of him. Energy shimmered across it's windshield, and 5 cards settled into existence on it. At the same time, the Duel Disk on Patrick's wrist activated itself, the deck inside automattically shuffling itself.
Tony found the door did not yield in the slightest, but found the statue etchings vanished. At the same time, a loud thump echoed behind him, and he turned to discover himself facing a strange creature. The upper half of it's body was that of a dark skinned women in a black dress, while it's lower body was a giant wolf-like creature, with an oversized head devoted to a massive set of jaws, the upper body attaching to the top of the head, while two more sets of jaws emerged from each side of it's body. On the creature's wrist was a Duel Disk that appeared to be exactly the same kind of disk as was on Tony's wrist. She leaned forward, looking Tony up and down with a hungry look in her eyes.
"Not my usual type...but you'll do, won't you my sweet?" She held out the Disk, which activated itself at the same time as Tony's did. "Duel...."
As the carvings on the door erased themselves, Arthur felt a sudden shaking, before another, stronger shake, dust falling off the walls. Spinning around, he found himself looking at a large set of feet. He looked up. And up. Standing behind him, apparently having appeared out of nowhere, was a frankly huge dinosaur resembling a T.Rex, with some silvery armor pieces covering parts of it's body, with odd purple spheres on the tail pieces. After a moment of silent staring at each other, the dinosaur gave a deafening roar, while electricity crackled on the armor, channeling itself up into spikes on the head-armor, before resolving into five bolts of lightning that struck the ground in front of the dinosaur, becoming 5 large cards with their backs facing Arthur. At the same time, he felt his Disk activate and shuffle, as if a Duel had just been engaged.
Leonidas' door wiped itself clean, and for a moment, nothing happened. A bellowing laugh sounded behind him, causing him to spin around in shock. Whereas he had been the only person in the room before, a warrior in white armor now occupied the center of the room. On each hand he had a crab-claw styled shield, while it and his armor had a few glowing golden surfaces or gems scattered on them. The warrior laughed again, before settling down into a chuckle. "Oh, what a waste of an opponent! Truly I thought this would be a battle of knights, a clash of true warriors, but it seems that is not to be."
He stowed one of his two shields on his back, and the other glowed, before shrinking slightly and altering shape. A deck of cards now rested between the two halves of the crab claw, while 10 spaces on the surface of the shield denoted the proper spaces for cards. Leonidas' disk activated as well, with much less fanfare. The warrior chuckled again, sounding pleased this time. "Nonetheless, let the battle begin, and may the best one win."
Draws incoming, you all get the first turn.

Not an ounce of fear showed on Arthur's face as he stared the monster down.
"If you want a duel then you better not start crying when you lose."
As he examined his hand he smiled.
"I place one monster face down and I end my turn. Now make your move, unless you're all bark and no bite."

Patrick snorted, eying up his opponent. "My girl is a bit old to be watching these kinds of cartoons but I'm sure she'd still find this hilarious. Well, it seems I'll have to stomp you out to move forward, so stomp you out I shall. Draw!"
Patrick looked at the cards in his hands and was kind of confused. He hadn't remembered bringing a deck in the first place and he didn't remember owning most of these. Two of them he did recognize as cards he used so at least there was that.
"I set a monster in defense position and set another card face-down. I end my turn."

"Dude, that is some seriously freaky stuff." A weird monster challenging him to a duel, a duel where he has to use cards he doesn't know how to use? He looked down at his duel disk, then he looked up at his opponent and smiled as he took out five cards from his deck.
"Hope you fools are ready for school, cuz I'm about to lay down the beatdown! Draw!" He looked down at the hand he drew and recognized exactly one card.
This guy's got a lot of attack points. He'll do. "I'll bust out my Anarchist Monk Ranshin!"
On his command, a red-robed man appeared carrying a staff appeared on the field. On his face was some sort of weird mouth guard.

"Ugh, that guy's pretty freaky looking too. I'll set down three Spells and Traps and end my turn! Bring it, yo!"

Leonidas took one look at the dueling device, the cards, and shook his head. "Pyramids. I knew it. Goddamn aliens."
He played Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer face-up on the field, put a card face down, and ended his turn.

The giant dinosaur roared at Arthur's comment, and another lightning bolt slamed out of it's body, forming another card. One of the cards spun around, revealing it to be Pot of Duality, before collapsing into energy and forming the pot on the card image. Three cards emerged from the opening, back to Arthur, before spinning around and revealing themselves to be Oracle of the Sun, Mythical Beast Cerberus, and The Golden Apples. The Golden Apples crackled into electricity and added itself to the dinosaur's hand, while the other two dropped back into the pot before it broke apart into energy sparks.
Another roar, and another card spun around, revealing Botanical Lion, before it too became energy and formed the indicated monster, which roared loudly. (Botanical Lion ATK: 1600 + 300 = 1900) The lion then charged at Arthur's face-down monster, thorn like claws unsheathing themselves.
The ambulance creature, annoyed at being dismissed like that, revved it's engines, another card forming on it's windshield. Three of the cards slid down to rest in front of it, one into the set position of a monster, the other two Spells or Traps. It revved again, glaring at Patrick.
Turn end.
The wolf-lady chuckled at Tony's bold words as she drew another card. "Oh, I like a man with spirit. Let's see if you can back that up..." She played a card into her disk, and a Botanical Lion emerged from the ground, roaring. (Botanical Lion ATK: 1600 + 300 = 1900)
"Now....I could go and attack you, since I control the stronger monster, but I think this requires a more...delicate touch. One set card, and that will be it." The set card appeared behind the lion, as she waved to Tony, indicating that it was his turn.
The warrior drew another card, and looked it over as he added it to his hand. "A strong start, certainly. But it will not be enough, I am afraid. I summon the first of my knights, Sumbarineroid!" True to his words, the ground in front of him rippled as he placed the card into his disk, as the monster emerged from the ground as if it was water. (Submarineroid ATK: 800)
"And thanks to his special ability, he can now attack you directly! Subterranean Attack!" The monster dived down into the ground again. Nothing happened for a moment, but then it emerged from the ground directly in front of Leonidas and spat a jet of water at the man.

His monster flipped over to reveal Mecha Phantom Beast Hamstrat. As it was destroyed two tokens appeared next to it on the field.
"When Hamstrat flips face up it summons two tokens to the field."

"Draw!" Patrick looked at the card and froze. This was a card his daughter used. Looking at the field, he realized he couldn't use it yet... But he would. "Alright, I summon Twin-Sword Marauder in Attack Mode!" A man with trident-esque blades strapped to his arms appeared on the field, roaring his battle cry.
Twin-Sword Marauder: 1600ATK
"Now, Marauder!" Patrick dramatically pointed at Ambulanceroid's face-down monster. "Cut down this cowering chump! Raiding Rampage!"

"Not attacking, huh? It's cool, I'll still take you down!" Tony cried as he drew his next card. "I summon to the field Bull Blader!"
On the field appeared a bullheaded creature who stood upright like a human. In its right hand was a gigantic longsword.
Bull Blader 1600/1200
"Now my Bull Blader will attack your Botanical Lion, which allows me to activate its special ability! When it's about to throw down with another monster, I can negate all battle damage during the battle, and your monster goes down. But it doesn't prevent Bull Blader's destruction by battle, so he gets owned too. Sorry dude, take one for the team, alright?"
Bull Blader charged at the lion, bringing his sword down to create an explosion to take out both of them at once.

The dinosaur roared again, obviously unpleased with this turn of events. Two of it's cards turned into lightning again, and hit the field, reforming behind Botanical Lion as set cards.
Turn End
The knight nodded as his monster returned to his side. "And now, but it's own effect, it moves to Defense Position!" The monster sank under the "surface" of the floor until only the top of it showed. (Submarineroid DEF: 1800)
"And now, I shall place three face-downs to end my turn. I want a strong battle, and I would be very unpleased if you disappointed."
The two-bladed warrior stabbed down into the face-down, before it was suddenly thrown backward by the considerable defense of Big Shield Gardna. (Big Shield Gardna DEF: 2600) The monster then stood up, the shield no longer covering it's body. (Big Shield Gardna ATK: 100)
The smoke from the explosion faded away, revealing nothing left behind from the two monsters. The wolf-lady didn't seem too pleased with this turn of events, giving a stony glare at the opposing duelist.
"So...you like to play rough. I'll remember that...."
Master Saboteur
"How about you remember this? Ranshin, attack her directly with Chaos Ward!" Ranshin ran forward and stabbed his staff straight into the body of Tony's opponent.
"My turn's done with that."

Arthur smirked.
"Your little kitten might have claws, but let's see if it can match up to a Behemoth. I summon the monster, Twin-Headed Behemoth and I equip it with Horn of the Unicorn, Giving it 2200 attack power. Now, Behemoth, destroy your opponent."
The Behemoth lunged across the field.

Leonidas drew a card. "Eight hundred life points, what a coincidence," he said.
He tributed Kycoo in order to summon Evil Hero Malicious Edge, and it moved to attack the Submarineroid.
She convulsed with energy from the staff, before pulling herself up. (Reptilianne Scylla LP: 4000 - 1800 = 2200) She glared at Tony, drawing her card in silence while the wolf-mouths began a low growl in unison.
"First, Book of Moon to rid myself of your silly monster." The card appeared, and Ranshin glowed, before being replaced by a Set card. "And now, my Zubaba Knight shall clean up. Forth, my servant!" An armored warrior carring two serrated swords appeared, before moving to attack the now face-down Ranshin.
The ambulance revved in surprise at the it's turn starting, as another card appeared on it's front windshield. The warrior with a shield knelt back down into defense (Big Shield Garnda DEF: 2600). Another card slid down of the windshield, and formed itself into a multi-armed white-furred wolf creature, which roared as it appeared. (Gene-Warped Warwolf ATK: 2000)
Another rev of the ambulance, and the Warwolf leaped at the twin-bladed warrior on the other side of the field, claws extended.
The plant-lion was torn apart by the opposing monster, while some parts bounced off the dinosaur. (Dinosaur LP: 4000 - 300 = 3700) It gave a glare of defiance at the opposing duelist that was enhanced by the fact that it was a giant electric dinosaur that was giving it.
The submarine was destroyed by the dark warrior's claws, as the warrior staggered back from a back-hand slash (White Warrior LP: 4000 - 800 = 3200). "I see! So you can fight back! This might actually be enjoyable!"

Patrick saw his opportunity and seized it with almost child-like glee. "Too slow! I activate my Trap card, Threatening Roar!" A wave of sound cowed the wolf-like creature back from its attack. Patrick sneered. "Nice try though. Come back next story arc, kid."

"I think that's about it... for now," Leonidas said, ending his turn.

He shrugged.
"I suppose it doesn't matter, tricks aren't enough to scare me. I end my turn."

The knight's sword connected with a clear barrier, and it glowed for a moment as its power became Life Points for Tony.

Three orbit each other in the void, endlessly circling. Crimson crystal, ethereal blue, multicolored blur, always circling each other. Light and Dark clash around and through them, sending waves through the void, eddies of power. In the center of the three, in the ripples and eddies of the Light and Dark, a spark forms.
The game begins.
The room Tony found himself dropped in was mostly square, with several recessed segments sticking out of the wall. The room itself appeared to be constructed of stone, with several torches set in the walls, providing decent illumination. On one side of the room, two pairs of doors were set, with about 20 feet of space between them. Appearing to be made out of some sort of bronze-colored metal, each had it's own unique decorations on it. The one of the left was embossed with images of statues, all seeming to be of snake-like figures, while the one on the right had images of bamboo of all things etched into it.
Arthur's room was also square, with a the wall seeming to stick out of two of the corners, and a small section of wall protruding from the middle of one side. The two doors were on opposite sides of the room, each more-or-less in a corner. One of them had the image of a giant meteor that seemed to be made of lightning bolts on it, while the other was decorated with images of chunks of ice. Once again, the room was lit up by torches set in the walls.
Patrick's room was oddly shaped, as if someone wanted to create a room diagonally, and with rounded edges, but was constrained to only building in straight lines and 90-degree angles. Two doors were set relatively close together, though pointing off in two different directions. One seemed to have several sets of light-bulbs, set in pairs next to each other, etched into it, while the other had images of an angelic host arranged in concentric circles. If one looked closely at that one, they would notice that the circles each had a prime number of entities in it, with the larger circles corresponding to higher numbers. Torches set into the walls provided light.
Leonidas' room was shaped as if two cube shaped rooms had shared a wall, only for the wall to be demolished and the rooms merged. In one of the cubes, a door that seemed to depict a figure fall into a hole in the ground was set in the wall. In the other cube was set two doors, one showing a great set of double doors held up by a crab, while the other seemed to have a spiral etched into it.There were torches providing light.
