Episode 5:
The Demon King in this episode was Verribad.
Stories sure are easy to mix up and be forgotten.
Well...Looks like Natsuki doesn't make a retort to every joke.
Unexpected Star Wars shout out.
Glorious helmet hair!
Now, is there anything else I have to say about this epi-
'tokotonton'
...Ah, I suddenly lost all motivation to say anything else. Darn sound.

Episode 6. In which Sakura dies.
Kick the Can is easy to win if you're faster than thought. I like how Botan shows concern by playing seriously, though...
Sakura really deserved to be left out on that one...
Where do they get all their wonderful toys? (Someone has cash.)
I have seen less convincing corpses. Somewhere. I'm sure. I just can't recall any.
Hey, fanservice. Censored fanservice, but still.
I didn't expect the Botan ending to still be running.
Check out my fanfiction!I half-expected the beginning to suddenly turn into a Wii U ad. Or for Sakura to force them to play a game that supports 8 players.
"That's why you killed Sakura first!"
But then we wouldn't have had the epicness of the four girls sitting on one chair!
x2 I'm half-expecting Natsuki to comment on the ending in one or two episodes. :/
Botan was so pimp in that shot.
Sakura, you dug that hole when you said the bomb was invisible to beautiful girls.
Baseless Genbu's voice sucks. The voice work in this show is generally amateurish but listening to him was trying. Doesn't help that he's laying on the retorts, and he's even worse than Natsuki. I hope the Four Heavenly Kings actually go fight Botan. Or at least stalk her with glowing admiration. It would be much better than their restaurant meet-ups anyway.
Episode 6:
Foolish Sakura. No matter what you do, Botan will always kick the can. FOR SAFETY!!!
Sakura was ticked about being left out, but she conveniently forgot that she made Natsuki drink seven cups of black coffee. So karma.
Darn it, Sakura! Stop moving the chairs! You're a corpse, after all!note
Four girls, one chair. Epic pose. Awesome.
The Hagishirabe Four: Deadly warriors, or a Botan Fan-Club? Genbu really is hopeless. His retorts weren't as awesome as Natsuki's.
After this episode, Natsuki will forever hate black coffee.
So, why is the Botan ending still airing? I kinda hoped that they would change the endings a la GJ-bu.

& x2 He's so useless his VA sucks too.
Episode 7. In which Natsuki is surprised.
That was a better Shiritori game than the one in Medaka Box.
Good time for the Eye Catch. In the middle of an explosion. And you know, for a Slice of Life, there sure are a lot of explosions...
Aww... I wanted to see Sakura without one of those in her hair...
The way they're planning on a surprise party reminds me of how they do it in the other Minami family. "Do you think you'll be surprised by this plan we've detailed out for you?"
She really was surprised. And embarrassed.
This is one of very few endings I actually watch. I like all the various reactions Botan shows.
Some hints are really mean. Reminds me of Alan Davis in QI.
This episide reminded me of quite a few things...
Check out my fanfiction!Randomly ran into this by clicking on the wrong thing.
1)This is waaaay funnier and random than you would expect from the short description.
2)more Botan == good Last ep was the first one I liked where she didn't do much
last ep agree on the Shiritori game, but I only read the manage version. And yeah, they should have shown Sakura, although she probably had an extra. I was actually sort of hoping she would have the same hairstyle afterward. At least we knew Sakura wasn't expecting to lose. I would have been nice to see the embarrassment of defeat also. I was surprised Natsuki actually made of stats for her word. She didn't seem like the gaming type
I was expecting them to do the plan they detailed out......right after they finished.
The Shiritori game really was pretty amusing. They even managed to mix in Yu-Gi-Oh references.
The surprise party turned out to be more straightforward than I expected. I thought they were going to do things completely differently from what they discussed, but it turns out that they just did things up to eleven.
This is the second most epic shiritori game I've ever seen.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntEpisode 7:
- Epic shiritori showdown! Yu-Gi-Oh reference happily included.
- They managed to surprise Natsuki even though they were talking about surprising her in her face. Very impressive.
- Karin... What are you made of?!!!!

Episode 8. In which there's a little brother.
A boke shouldn't try to tsukkomi. It will be turned around when they attempt to show how you really do it. Natsuki isn't often the boke. But sometimes. Well, she's in good company.
They've not done that many meta jokes lately. So it was nice to refer to something happening a while ago in those terms.
I like Lloyd. He seems reasonable. That makes one of them. I wish he'd appear more, though, but I suppose it's natural he didn't. He's also somewhat tall.
You know, when she returned to her room, I kind of expected them to have done more than merely make themselves comfortable.
And they referenced the very first thing in the anime. You know, before any of the girls were even seen. And the special thing about Sakura.
They sure spend a lot of time talking about her cowlick.
Aww, they changed the ending. The new one isn't nearly as cute. And naturally, they mentioned it.
Check out my fanfiction! The cowlick is cursed!!!
Episode 8:
- Introducing Lloyd, Natsuki's little brother. He's quite tall.
- Don't litter the streets with your badly written poems.
- So that's the pair of scissors that you inherited from your grandmother, Sakura. Is it cursed? Speaking of curses...
- Cowlick:"HOW DARE YOU TRY TO DELETE ME? I CURSE YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS FOREVER!!!" Claire:"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!
- Ending change, go!
- Natsuki died!? That can't be! Who'll handle the retorts? I refuse to believe it! You have to live, Natsuki! LIIIIIVE!note
- Minstrel seal's the coolest!

OK, what RPG were they talking about in ep. 9?
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntThe "which girl in that game to marry" decision has come up in other anime before; I know it's come up in Lucky Star, and I think it was mentioned in Genshiken (one of the first two seasons) as well.
Things I wasn't expecting to come up: IV breeding and EV training. Also the 2012 Olympics badminton match-throwing scandal.

Episode 9. In which the parasaurolophus reappears.
As always, Botan has her priorities straight. Life and death? Nah, chunky or smooth? That's the important one.
"Going Home Club or Wata Mote?" Definitely the former.
I like those cute cards. Especially when they're not wanted by the one they're directed at.
Suddenly, they went on the trip. (I accidentally typed that as "trope".)
Botan's very skilled at spilling the entire pitcher of ice water while only tipping it slightly.
Of course they'd follow "leave the rest to the viewers' imagination" with "Why are you taking off your clothes?"
Toothpaste flavoured ice cream. Yeah, that's what any kind of mint is. Toothpaste flavour. Her brother officially has great taste.
Botan's shower training resurfaces.
"Not even Botan would run on water." What show has she been watching?
How can you make a thing that goes doink without it going doink?
"Since there's nothing left to say, let's just end the episode right here." It would work better if there wasn't after-credit stuff... In which Botan is awesome.
Check out my fanfiction!"she's talking about the warships". Although I'd take Nagato over either.
Episode 9:
- Wow. Didn't expect IV and EV training to be mentioned. Also, how rude! I'll have you know that people do choose the grass starter sometimes. Myself included.
- Which girl to marry? The first game that came to my mind was that one Shining Force game where the hero chose the princess over the childhood friend. The princess only appeared at the end of the game.note
- The form of the red bean paste is a matter of life or death to Botan. And her shower training returned. And yes, Natsuki, she can run on water. I thought you got the memo that she's capable of such impossible feats. Need I remind you of all that can kicking that came at your expense?
- There's no such thing as freedom in this world. So I guess being turned into constellations by the lazy(and therefore, free)staff wasn't enough freedom, huh.
Other things:
- KKK or Watamote? Obviously, I'd choose KKK because as we all know, beingTomokoissuffering.
- Claire's really made of money. Makes me wonder if her family's a part of the Illuminati...
- Poor staff members, being forced to eat cold udon.
- Yay, Natsuki lives!

Episode 10. In which Natsuki is surprisingly boke.
Did she just make a joke herself, rather than tsukkomi the others into the ground? And that's one Beehive Hairdo... But I think the Kabuki face paint was kind of ruined by her ordinary school uniform.
Random tsundere moment! Well, not so random, as she actually thought it through. With some rather good points. And lots of Conversational Troping regarding hair styles and looks.
"Green hair means you're unpopular." First I thought of was Tsuruya. I wouldn't call her unpopular.
Who was the little dead girl?
The one with the short twintails is a better tsundere than the one with long ones. And that story about the shirt was lovely. Botan is quite the troll.
Even the caption mocks the hopeless fatso.
That last ghost story, was that Another?
Yeah, Botan should be the anchor in a relay. And if they get to her before someone has passed the finish line, they'll win.
I think the part where Sakura challenge the football club and she just realised they were only five was rather subtly animated. And someone is a tad protective of Karin. That's not Sakura. But I'm not really sure why they're worried about being only five. They have Botan.
Randomly, on that football pic Karin was imagining, the ad in the background has the same initials as the company who owns my neighbourhood.
"Okay, Natsuki-chan, can you correctly describe the offside rule?" Probably the funniest joke in the episode.
"It's not a problem if you lose your hands. You don't use them in football anyway." They're about as protective of Sakura as she is of Karin.
The music when Tabito introduces himself and the team reminds me of Moon Phase. A little bit, at least.
"Why is she measuring increments of time in fighting game terminology?" No, animation terminology.
I see they borrowed the football from Gensokyo.
By the way, that sniper? I think that's him blinging just after the "frame" joke. Who by the way isn't visible in the distance shot from the football.
Yeah, that fourth runner... Was probably the seal. Or the barefoot girl next to the seal at the end, who's probably the dead girl seen before.
Check out my fanfiction!I'm fairly certain the football scene was a reference to Shaolin Soccer.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntI liked the way the sniper apparently came with their own watertower (it wasn't there later).
Was this the last episode? I would have expected them to be more meta about it.
I did not expect Der Erlkönig here.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy Ent
