Yep. Sounds like a plan to me.

The name sounds like a relative to Trapped by Mountain Lions. Something to do if you want some added danger.
But as it is, merge.

A few more votes are needed. So far it's nine in favour and none against.

Just like the "Everything's X with Y" set of tropes, the "Instant X just add Y" tropes are about how a work is simply better if it contains some Y, in this case pirates. In practice, Instant Plunder, Just Add Pirates has become a set of tropes commonly associated with pirates, as well as a list of works that focus on piracy, or that contain a pirate somewhere.
However, we also have the straightforward page Pirate, which is exactly the same thing, as well as an index of Pirate Tropes which covers the trope list once more. This strikes me as clear duplication: Instant Plunder, Just Add Pirates is simply the same page as, and has no other purpose than, Pirate.
IPJAP has 89 wicks / 45 inbounds, the easier-to-remember Pirate has 912 wicks / 342 inbounds. I suggest merging the pages, under the existing name Pirate which is as clear and concise as it gets.
