I oppose renaming OMBP to Forgotten Birthday because most of the times I see that trope in action, it's less about "forgetting" and more about "I don't like that guy, I don't want to go."
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Probably better to say "the on-page examples are ambiguous". Otherwise, we could just split that too into "forgotten" and "lone" birthday.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'd be down for making a new Forgotten Birthday for a literal forgotten birthday, and leaving One-Person Birthday Party as-is. Along with moving the Fake Forgotten Birthday trope to a new page.
Is it too late to add a new thing to the crowner?

Also, looking at the discussion of One-Person Birthday Party was created in May/June 2013. Seems like we can hold off on changing that.

Create new trope for a literal forgotten birthday, rename Forgotten Birthday to something else (name TBD), leave One Person Birthday Party as-is: 6

Bump again. No new votes for the most popular option... Who's going to write the descriptions for the tropes?

More votes?
I wish I'd looked at this thread earlier. Where is the option for redefining Forgotten Birthday to be an actual forgotten birthday?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I have two questions. How would a literal forgotten birthday not be covered by One-Person Birthday Party? OPBP is after all, "when someone has only themselves to celebrate their birthday with." What would the laconic version be of the something else that Forgotten Birthday would be renamed to?
two choices:
- Rename One-Person Birthday Party to Forgotten Birthday, rename Forgotten Birthday to something else (name TBD)
- Turn Forgotten Birthday into a disambiguation for the following three tropes: Create new trope for a literal forgotten birthday (name TBD), rename Forgotten Birthday to something else (name TBD), leave One Person Birthday Party as-is.
One option has no opposition, but only has 10 votes.
Bump for votes. This seems like a relatively simple fix.

I'll have to move here. I've made the Alt Names crowner (no name suggestions so far, so no hooking request right now) and I submit the following as a description proposal for Forgotten Birthday - I'll freely note that it needs more sap:
Can be an indication that the character is not well-liked by other characters.
One-Person Birthday Party sometimes ensues.
Bumping. We need more input here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI like the second one of those.
