Hmmm...instead of ants, is there any creatures that are like snapping shrimp but still have bug-like features?

Smile for me!Alright, here's the revision
Name: Icemen, мороженщик, Betaeus Sapiens
Age Expectancy: 80-90
Type: Sentient icy shrimp people
Place of origin: Russia
Powers: Ice Magic, concussive hydro punch, amphibious, craftsmen of insectoid arts
Physical description: Human-looking with pale blue skin, glowing irises, icy insect-like hands and antenna.
power: various ice powers, ice magic, proxy mind control (can control weak willed people and animals at a certain radius)
weakness: fire, weak mental barriers.
Description: Underground shrimp people that reside in the underground caves for thousands in order to escape the hellish winters of Russia. For centuries, they adapt to the deep cold of the caves and enthralling insects larger than themselves to used as cattle, and surviving on mushrooms growing underground. In 2066, a scouting party of the icemen appeared in the Moscow Metros, angered that the humans there took over Russia, they declared war on Russia to reclaim their rule over it. However, Russia's military and technological superiority overwhelmed the iceman which ended in their surrender. Since then, they adapted to the surface but due to being underground for so long, social interaction has been difficult for them but surprisingly, they would rapidly adapt to Russian culture and some even immigrated to other parts of the world as the "Icemen of Russia".

Question! Is eating Icemen a crime?
Stop caring and embrace nullness. That would be fine~
Although... I do wonder how the population of magical creatures would reflect in a place with as sparse of a population as russia.
That is a weird question, but I would assume so.
@ Every one : If you had to single out one spot of the world to be a hellhole due to *plot* which part of the world would it be?

Then thats where it shall be.
One more thing I should mention about Razul, he doesn't talk much so his scabbard gun, Sunset Splitter, does most of the talking for him. Thala knew this very well.
So, what's the setup here? Like, how do we meet?
You All Meet in an Inn. Or Bar, in this case.

...If we're really gonna go weird on this, gonna ask for the possibility of this now.
Genetically modified giant Komodo Dragons that can live off of radio waves, can mentally communicate with static feedback and hijacking signals, and currently "rule" Indonesia, but let the populace live normally as long as they're supplied with regular television programming to feed off of.
...
On second thought, no, this is a bit too silly, isn't it?
