Worried about my height.

I'm starting to think I'll never get a girl, because I'm 5'3, and I turn 21 in August, so I guess I won't grow anymore, despite growing half an inch in the last six months. I also don't think I've had a growth spurt yet, and I guess it won't happen.

My mom's 5'4, and my dad's 5'8.

I used to have a height complex as well (I am 5'6").. I got over it. It was different than being insecure about my weight because my height is not something I can change, at least not without very invasive and painful surgery. Ask yourself if you're willing to have your bones broken daily by vices strapped to your legs for a few centimetres of extra height—if no, you will feel better about your height eventually.

If that doesn't help, well, look at it like this: You might never get any taller, but it's not certain that you'll never get a girlfriend. Clearly, you just need to find a cute 5ft or less pixie girl.

5'6" here too... Not sure what to say, but if you've grown in the past six months, you probably aren't quite done yet.

I dated a guy shorter than me in high school. He was a pretty cool dude.

I wish I was shorter.

I doubt you're not going to get into a relationship because of your height. :p

Your height is one of the things it's pointless to stress over. If a girl isn't interested in dating/seeing/being with you because you're short, it's a pretty safe bet that she's shallow about a lot of other things, as well.

Only one of the guys I was seriously involved with was taller than I am, and two were considerably shorter. Their height didn't matter at all to me. What mattered was their personality and attitude.

Congratulations for being an incredibly late bloomer. I stopped growing vertically when I was 16. (At an average height of 5'10.)

Man, I can relate, since I'm 23, and I've been 5'3 since I was 15.

Just do what I do and think of it this way: The cutest girls are all the same height as you!

They say that people "stop growing" at a certain age like that's set in stone but that's not really true. Women are supposed to stop getting taller at 18, but between 18 and 20 I gained about a half inch.

That's not a lot but it was still surprising. If you half an inch in the last six months, it's not unreasonable to say you'll keep growing. You may reach 5'4" yet!

But yeah stop worrying about it. If someone's not going to date you because of your looks they really aren't worth your time.

Dude, Muggsy Bogues was 5'3" and played in the friggin' NBA. Height isn't nearly the dealbreaker you seem to think it is.

Find a girl around 5'. Most of them don't go for guys that tower over them anyways.

Well, since Famous short people are bad examples.

I had a friend in High School who was rather short.

I don't think this did anything to impair ladies from dating him, since I distinctly recall watching two of my female friends arguing with each other. Since he was nearby, I asked him what they were arguing about.

"Oh, which one of them gets to date me."

Cocky bastard. I had a crush on him too, and I'm sure that was fairly common.

My brother is six feet and dating a girl who is dang near 6'6". She always thought she'd never get a boyfriend because she's too tall. My brother absolutely loves the fact that she's so tall. Don't worry about your height, someone will love you for it.

I still guess I won't grow anymore.

However, I think I'm still in puberty (I still get zits).
