That short is why I’m not watching Coco.
Lucky for me, in Australia, I THINK the short only plays in select screenings. It doesn't release until the 26th of December, so i'll have to see if that is the case.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Update: The Frozen short will no longer play in front of COCO in the USA starting December 8th. So those stubborn people refusing to see COCO because of that can rest easy.
Of course before anyone thinks it's Disney reacting to the shorts awful reception, it's not it was always planned to only be there for a few weeks.

... huh.
I'm actually kind of bummed I won't get to see it at all, though I'd have much rather seen it on TV than before Coco.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Disney will put the short available somewhere else later down the road.
They’ll probably still air it on TV, and if not, they’ll either release it standalone (it’s long enough that they could probably get away with it) or just stuff it on the DVD/Blu-ray release for Coco or something else they pick at random. Or stuff it in their next collection of shorts.
Not Three Laws compliant.Wow, that movie was awful. Like something a first semester animation student would make given enough time.
Optimism is a duty.Yeah. I mean, my God, sometimes it felt like a Christmas Special from Hell itself. Especially with that Grandma's gibberish. Seriously, it was like she was posses— SHUT THAT DOOR! {SLAM!}
She's the most likable character, as well.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Apparently the Grandma had actual lines. Obviously, something went very, very wrong along the way.
From my understanding there was some scam thingamajig with Scientologists going on or something that led to how it turned out. Pan-Pizza from Rebel Taxi went into detail on it in his review of it a year or so ago.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Sounds like the backstory would make a better movie.

Someone call James Franco.
Did Doug and Co start this one off with a Christmas genocide ?
What is he ? King Herod ?
@11440 Got a link?
The Protomen enhanced my life.I was just watching Disneycember on The Luck of the Irish and it turns out the movie has an... interesting Wikipedia page.
Just a person. He/him.Looks pretty normal to me.
Nothing unusual about the "Analysis" section?
EDIT: Ah, it was removed. Anyway, the "Analysis" really tried to connect the movie to the themes of Marxism, nihilism, and feminism, using some very basic sources. It was... odd.

Just a person. He/him.You linked to the video twice.

Doug also did a special video talking about his thoughts on the much-hated Olaf "short" playing in front of COCO. It's clear he had no planning for the video, but it's such a heated issue online that he felt he had to say something.
