So, um, I'm back to using my account after almost a year of being gone because I love meatspace. - Sob -

Anyway, this is my first time trying to get an RP up, and um, I hope this doesn't die....

Um, I should get to talking about the RP now, huh?

Disclaimer: This is not meant to offend any religious beliefs. I'm Catholic too.

Setting

There is small, peaceful town called Mitsuki somewhere in Japan (but of course), sitting comfortably next to a lake, away from the big cities. The lake itself is a popular hang-out for the local kids, along with the old, abandoned Christian church at the lakeside, which is often used for summer "bravery tests". The town has but one high school, and so most of the youth population know each other.

But.

This sleepy town will soon be the center of....

A Heavenly Plan

On the heavens above, Metatron, Heaven's Secretary, has concocted a bold and controversial plan.

Six young Angels, the most powerful of their generation and also the ones with the most to learn,will be sent down to Mitsuki and will live among humanity for a year.

The angels will be stripped of most of their power, earning it back little by little until the year is up.

To aid the angels in their lesson, Metatron has chosen six teenagers from among the youths of the town. They will be bound to an angel and act as their guide on earth.

But not every force in the universe is in agreement with this plan. Michael himself has stated his doubts. But there are others. Others that are far more...sinister.

So yah! Here we go!

Now I just need to decide which angel to use. Maybe Sariel or Tabbris... Or maybe one that isn't featured in Eva... Hmmm, will think about this at work today.

...I meant Ramiel or Tabbris. Since both are in Eva and I'd probably be rather reluctant to play an angel of death. Was still half asleep when I posted that, ahah.

...But yeah, kind of hard to pick... Hmmm.

Damn son, this RP looks really interesting; never really seen an RP with this premise before. I've actually really gotten into Super Natural, and, uh... Castiel is the best. While he's not a biblical Angel per se, his name does fit in with the Theophory of the Bible, and his name would thus be Shield of God... so I could just do the generic Knight In Shining Armor I do in plenty of R Ps...

Or I could unleash the horrors of Taco Playing Against Type and play Big Sister Cassie. I want in.

Actually, that's Samael. Sariel is an archangel, along with Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Lucifer, Uriel and (depending on the source) Metatron. Although again, I suppose which source you prescribe to would determine a lot of this...

Um, guys, you should work on your character sheets now since there ARE only six angel spots and um, first come first served...

Well, here is my angel.

• Angelic Name: Iruel
• Human Name: Ira
• Age: Late 20s/Almost a million years old (In a universe where angels can be older than time, barely a million years is pretty young in comparison.)
• Powers: Can make the host appear more intimidating to others, whether by making a slight change to how the host is perceived to outright casting an illusion over the host to make them more alien and terrifying. At full power, Iruel can increase the senses of his host to the extent that they can see in multiple spectra, detect and track trace smells and tastes, and even "see" the environment via either echolocation or vibration detection (i.e. Toph. At full power Iruel can make his host completely undetectable by any sense. Iruel can also increase the general strength, speed, and durability of his host to Agent levels when he is at full power. He can also bestow a healing factor on his host equivalent in effectiveness somewhere between Extremis and Wolverine. Iruel can also allow his host to produce sonic attacks meant to produce fear in enemies.
• Personality: Iruel is a cynical, brooding angel. Once an idealistic fighter for redemption, he has grown disgusted by the depths that man can sink to, believing that some sins could only be committed by the Fallen. Now he bears a zeal against all mortal sinners, seeking to punish them as their penance. He is vicious against those who commit evil acts, seeking to strike terror into their hearts. Deep down, he wants evil people to find redemption, but he has grown attached to the idea of "irredeemable" humans.
• Bio: Once an idealistic fighter for redemption, he has grown disgusted by the depths that man can sink to, believing that some sins could only be committed by the Fallen. Now he bears a zeal against all mortal sinners, seeking to punish them as their penance.
• Reason for being in the plan: Iruel has an overzealous mindset against sinners. This mindset must be tempered with a kind and forgiving mind.

• Angelic Name: Castiel
• Human Name: Cass T. Ellen
• Age: 2,000/18
• Gender: Angels are genderless, but they will have to pick a masculine gender when on earth.
• Powers: Extremely hard to kill with strength to match. Becomes harder to kill with increases in power, starts off as having tough skin—like Kevlar—and a head as solid as a brick wall. Super-Strength is and always will be much lower scale—at present he can heft a chair around with ease, but at max he might be able to heave a tree trunk around.
• Personality: Cass is basically a big dumb Labrador Retriever. He has a heart of gold, and a brain of soft, gently melted cheese—possibly Velveeta. He's trying to learn to be better at thinking things through, but since he knows he's no good at thinking things through he always asks for help on what to do. He gets paralyzed by any form of choice and even in a fight is slow and ponderous to act. Most decisions will involve helping or protecting His Person in whatever way is most direct. When he gets in fights, he tries to just calm the other person down and otherwise end the fight nonlethally.
• Bio: Castiel has been a soldier most his life. A leg-breaker, honestly, enforcing rules up in Heaven and beating the hell out of monsters back on Earth. He didn't question it, or otherwise stir things up, but he was having a lot of trouble thinking, preventing him from being promoted to anything past Biggest Guy In The Room Who Thus Gets The Biggest Weapons And Armor, Point Him At What Needs To Die.
• Reason for being in the plan: He was volunteered for the position by a commanding officer that thought he could stand to learn to be a little smarter.

I'd like to express tentative interest signing up as a human. I don't have time to work on a profile tonight, but I'll definitely do so soon.

I presumed you were supposed to choose between playing an angel and playing a human.

Here's my human.

Name: MAEDA Shou (前田 証)
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: An exceedingly average-looking boy, with hair slightly longer than normal and thin-rimmed glasses. The only real distinguishing feature of his face is a rather sharp nose, which tends to be highlighted by his glasses. He's fairly athletic due to his upbringing, but his height makes him look thinner than he actually is. He tends to wear the school's uniform jacket dutifully from the official start of winter to the official start of summer when in class, but outside school and during summer he's much more lax with leaving it open, draping it over his shoulders, etc. If we're doing references, Sasahara◊ isn't too far off, minus the cravat, of course.
Personality: Shou is easygoing and almost always cheerful. Generally fairly soft-spoken, he holds a number of fairly strong beliefs, among them that life is best when it's lived with time to smell the roses. He gets decent grades in school and always does his chores at the shrine, but it's not unusual for him to lie down on the riverbank on the way home from school and take a nap for a few hours or wander around the woods. Anything he sets his mind on doing will definitely get done, but his decidedly relaxed way of life means that it isn't always wise to depend on him to do something without impressing on him how important it is first.
Skills/Talents: Shou isn't a member of any clubs, but he enjoys playing baseball and is decent at it. More traditionally, he's skilled at calligraphy, particularly in writing talismans, and knows how to play shogi and go, though he's terrible at both. He's also been trained in Japanese archery and would probably score higher than average against a school club.
Bio: Shou's family runs a decently sized Shinto shrine to Fushimi Inari Ookami in the woods by the lake. After the death of his father when he was young, Shou has mostly been raised by his paternal grandfather and his mother; while his grandfather is technically the head of the shrine, Shou's mother acts as the head in all capacities, including holding festivals, performing blessings and the like. He helps out around the shrine and is even allowed to assist with certain rituals, but mostly is relegated to the more mundane chores like sweeping, mending shoji and keeping the walkways weeded.
His upbringing instilled in Shou a strong sense of appreciation for nature and living in the moment, which is more or less the source of his nature walks and riverside naps. He's in his second year at Mitsuki High now.

Seeing Shou I have a little question!

Mostly about Supernatural stuff... is this All Myths are True? Or is the Abbrahamic God the only true one in this Universe and is everyone else misguided? As supernatural beings, what are the views of Angels and their faction on the other Supernaturals if they exist? Did the Abbrahamic God create this world and humanity?
