'Your Fave is Problematic' A.K.A. 'Celebrities Are People Too'
YUUGI WANTS YOU FOR DRINKING BUDDY-"I like [X]!"
-"Here's why [X] is crap!"
-"Thank you, that's what I always wanted to know!"
Ooooh, and I've already found a factual error in there without even trying.

A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the line
I don't get it. The impression I get from this is that every artist alive is reprehensible. I'm worried about my future.
Hell Hasn't Earned My TearsThe impression I get is that if you try hard enough and set your tolerances really low, you can find something "bad" and "morally objectionable" to say about anyone.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineThis post is really interesting.
The rest: It's hardly surprising that a lot of celebrities are jackasses. Who cares? I do admit I like articles on celebrity idiocy though. XP
I feel this dull sense of anger that cannot be quelled by a Panadol or something.
It's like I agree with them on bloody obvious stuff like Native American headdresses, and, like, NOT BEATING WOMEN, but when you get to stuff like "Yin Yang tattoos" which aren't even as bad as Chinese Character tattoos to begin with, it makes my blood curdle with aching rage.
My point being is dumb tattoos aren't in the same league as WOMAN BEATING.
And this blog is making me feel terrible for actually laughing at that blackface picture of Sarah Silverman with the Twitter caption "I have minstrel cramps!" - I'M NOT A BAD MAN I JUST LOVE PUNS

Hell Hasn't Earned My TearsWell yes, any valid point they do make is sure to be drowned out by the vague combination of frothy-mouthedness and nitpicking that possesses the rest of it.
But since it's a Tumblr, as a general rule... don't take it all too serious.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineITT: Thinking a single blog gives the majority opinion.
NGP, if you're this worried about people judging you if you're ever in the limelight, then the limelight is not the place for you.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.
I'm mainly unsure about the limelight because I haven't been in it, yet I feel it's the place my literary works belong in.
I'm not concerned about becoming tabloid celebrity big, maybe just George R R Martin big.
Hell Hasn't Earned My TearsThat seems a bit presumptuous to just say they deserve to be in the limelight. Tooting your own horn a bit loudly, so to speak.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I quit reading when they censored "Eskimos".
Fresh-eyed movie blogI don't know who runs that blog, but truly this is worthwhile use of their doubtlessly valuable time.
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)So it's celebrity gossip except the people who write it don't even have the decency to admit it's celebrity gossip. Charming.
It took me a few moments to realize some of the things they were censoring.
Worse: Pretentious Tumblr Crusading mixed with celebrity gossip.
Their vapidness is oppressing my brain cells.
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)That doesn't make "The Mighty Quinn" any less of an awesome song, though:
Stephen Colbert. They are bitching about Stephen Colbert. Oh no you didn't.
What did they say?
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great[1] I dont know what this people's skin is made of. Probably something weak, like papier mache. Or Raditz.
Could you do that? Looking at the tv all day finding things to be offended at?

Anyone have a clue what the word "sh*m**e" was before it got mangled?
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineShemale.
Ooooh, right. Of course.
I tell you, either way that sort of censoring goes, it sucks. Either you get the word and then it's pointless or you don't and then can't tell what's going on.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineSo, from what I gather the author is trans and very sensitive about it.
This depends on the situation, but the short answer is - yes they can.
... Welp, I'm boned.
I have characters say or think things that are ableist (I think some of them use retarded as an insult), or sexist, or homophobic, or cissexist, etc. I am personally aware of the problems with the things the characters are saying or thinking and I'm not trying to endorse the behavior. I'm not sure if these things are called out upon in universe however. Eh.

Part of me, right now, is just aching to send them an ask to tally up the ways Ralph Bakshi and Alejandro Jodorowsky are problematic. Because this blog... is unfucking believable.
As a Taoist who's pretty sure there was no racial divide between who's allowed into this Lao Tzu club hizzle, compared to Hinduism, I'm a bit miffed they say that yin yangs are appropriative and not allowed for white people to use, seemingly even if they belong to Taoist belief systems like I do. It brings my piss to a boil, to APPROPRIATE the AVGN. What the hell am I supposed to put on my gravestone then? Forget the tattoos for now, let's think about motherfucking burial plans.
Also, the entry on John Lennon makes sense, but then they utterly lose me by saying that his song "Crippled Inside" is ABLEIST AND IS A WHITE ABLE BODIED MAN APPROPRIATING DISABILITY. Fuck this noise, as an Aspie and anxiety sufferer John Lennon is clearly referring to "crippling anxiety" rather than making fun of the disabled here. Even if he did apparently mock the disabled in other places according to these guys. The Yoko abuse I can totally see is a detriment to Lennon's legacy. I get that part. But pick your fucking battles, S Js. Or you'll lose the war.
EDIT: Wait: The John Lennon stuff is here:

I clicked on one of the things and it led me to the above place in my time line. But my anger is still real.
