Have you never heard of someone ordering their steak bloody?
Of course you can eat raw meat.
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Yep. Raw foodists/"paleo" people are nuts though.
I dislike raw meat, but I can eat some veggies raw. The former is ironic since part of my ancestors, namely Tatars, introduced dishes to Poland which consist of raw meat.
My President is Funny Valentine.I've tried bacon raw.
My dad eats raw and undercooked meat all the time.

I can, I have done so, I am human. Some meats are actually tasty raw.
Isn't it very risky to eat raw meat,m though?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Salmonella? I hardly know ya!
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Don't eat anything bird-shaped raw. Fish and cow are fine if they're done right.
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Deer is fine raw.
Can humans eat raw meat?
Well, yeah. We used to do it for billions of years before we "invented" fire.
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Indeed it can be dangerous. But as noted in my link, that's mainly due to the fact that grain fed livestock develop a large amount of E. coli, and because thousands of cows are packed together, and they are pumped full of antibiotics, ironically making deadly infections spread extremely easily, and since many many cows are mixed together indiscriminately for an average piece of meat, there's an even higher probability that one was infected. But yes, done properly it can be safe. Most is not though.
If I recall correctly, pork is unsafe when raw — or even simply pink. Wikipedia has more information, I believe; it appears that there are quiet a few things that raw pork can carry...

and then they fricked in the bootyUmm, no. There are absolutely paleo people who believe humans ate lots of raw meat. Paleo in general is not very historically accurate.

@Cassidy They weren't saying that they didn't they were saying not all of them did.
I am not touching the pork issue vis a vis religion. Mainly because I don't want to start any arguments.
Steak Tartare has been a thing for hundreds of years before it got that title. That's just raw meat, whether bovine or cervine, stuffed between the saddle and the horse of the particular tribesmen who was a bit hungry, and allowed to tenderise by the movement between the saddle and the horse.
Also, most jerky recipes involve uncooked meat. Smoking ain't the same as cooking.
Also carpaccio.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineYeah, I do it all the time and I havent died yet.
