I played it and enjoyed it but can't really see why it earned the 43 million plays it got on Armor Games.
Looking forward to the sequel though. It seems like it'll be released today but can't find any links to it on the developer's site. Edit: Oh, and apparently is only available on iOS.

iOS? That's not a problem, I have an I Phone.
I'd say it got many plays on Armorgames because it's not only fun to play, it's also a very well-crafted and balanced game. There isn't any tower or ability that is OP or useless. Plus, it gets challenging very fast but still retains its fun factor.

...ehehOk I just got the game and played it. It's just as good as the original, if not better.
To make levels more interesting, there are many things going on in the level. One level has a Sand Worm that will periodically pop up and KO any unit standing on top of it. Another level has "Dusken Raider" snipers that will randomly snipe an ally or enemy, and yet another has Man Eating Plants that eat both friend and foe alike.
The enemy variety is more unique but also more difficult. For starters, you encounter the Sand Wraith early, who combines Mook Medic with Enemy Summoner in one! In that same level you encounter the Executioner whose attack is a One-Hit Kill on anything that isn't a Hero Unit. There's also Facehugger enemies that will grab onto troops and hatch into giant alien bug things. Pretty much a OHKO on soldiers unless you get them off before they hatch.
In terms of weapons, there are slight differences. The arrow tower no longer gets poison or snare abilities but they do get a very painful rapidfire move as well as range/crit boosting. The Mage tower gets a stackable charge move instead of an instakill beam. The Cannon tower is upgraded into a drill instead of Big Bertha, which provides the only OHKO tower move in the game (can't hit fliers, though). All in all, these different changes make the game easier/harder at the same time.
So yeah, this game is good.
...ehehGreat, Frontiers is out. Will be getting it later.
Just played through most of the game and got to the final level. Every ground enemy in the final area has a gimmick that can makes your life hard (Broodguard: getting faster as health depletes, Nightscale: turning invisible for 10 seconds when at half health, Darter: teleporting when hit, Savant: Summons Broodguard/Nightscale/Darter, Myrmidon: life drain bite, Blazefang: plasma gun with a One-Hit Kill chance, Brute: Massive hp, massive damage aoe whip attack), which means the player really has to prepare in order to get 3 stars. It's still fun though.
Final Boss has a very nasty attack. It's the ONLY enemy in the entire series that can destroy your towers (not disable, destroy). You'll need to save up some money beforehand in order to replace them.
...ehehI loved the first, but if the second is only out on ios, I'm not going to get it.
My friend just showed me the final boss, it's friggin' awesome. I think I'm going to stock up on gems and buy the moneybag item.
My favorite new tower is the walking robot one. And here I thought I'd be fawning over the necromancers!
The game's great! I tried finishing it without using items from the Gnome's Shop, but I found it impossible near the end.
Anyone here played this game? It's a very fun and very well-made Tower Defence Web Game, with very good and balanced weapons and enemies.
The sequel just came out today, apparently.
