You know is amazing how badass characters can get away with being sociopaths because they are we are all badass and they have Hero Insurance. Some characters can plow through mooks, destroy an entire cities fighting the villain, break someone down into their basic components and do all sorts of things but they are well badass. That is not to say all badass characters can get away things but they do seem to get with things that even most of our real life warriors cannot. What do you guys think of badass heroes getting Hero Insurance?

I think once a human body goes through a brick wall, it's fair to say most pretenses of realism have been dropped.

Question. Are you saying badass characters get away with doing morally questionable things or just property damage?

I ignore collateral damage unless the work calls it out. Or if I'm making a joke.

I thought the point of the badass was specifically that they got away with shit like what you mentioned.

Hero Insurance? Do you mean like an actual insurance company that specializes in providing them insurance for all of the ridiculous things they do?

I'll admit that I do find the idea of an insurance company like that amusing. "Before I punch you through this wall I'll need to talk with my insurance adjustor."

Fictional characters can get away with a lot of things, it seems that some of them never pay for it or even get called out it.

I think once a human body goes through a brick wall, it's fair to say most pretenses of realism have been dropped.

But people have been thrown through brick walls before. Now getting up as if it didn't do anything? That's unrealistic.

There are many kinds of brick walls, some less durable than you think.

As my patented Character Sympatheticness Formula (tm) states, the more badass a character is, the more likely people are to forgive their trespasses.
