Do not post your sheet here unless you have already been approved on this topic: [1]

This is where I'll be keeping track of all approved character profiles, including NP Cs I'm using. Post a final copy of your Character Sheet here for easier and neater reference.

Here are my own two NPC I'm starting off with, who will lead the two seperate groups. I guess this relveals teh plot a little too, but I guess it's a teaser of some sort.

His eyes are deep brown, bordering on black. He is around 5’7” and fairly muscular, having been trained for physical and magical combat because of the war going on. His skin is pretty tan because the capital city gets a good amount of sun. He usually wears a light red tunic with chain mail and silver armor underneath, wearing pants with built in chainmail as well. Hr wears a brown fur cloak around his shoulders regardless of the weather. He uses riding boots for travel. Pretty much all of his clothes/armor are considered expensive and hard for commoners to get.

Backstory (talk about family and friends, and your character’s motivations): Born only two years into the Shade War, Sol has lived his entire life hearing about how terrible the Lunar Republic was and how important fighting was to keep the Empire stable and strong. Sol was disillusioned from this by the reports from the front line, revealing how much people suffered from the war. He attempted to persuade his father, Emperor Helios, to call it a draw, but he was repeatedly blown off. Sol eventually decided to take his Empire’s fate into his own hands and leave by himself to find help persuing a solution to ending the Shade War: A supposedly non existant island spoken of only in legends. Caelum.

  • Name: Roberta "Bobbie" Fabrini

  • Age: 26
  • Nationality: Mediterranean
  • Appearance and clothing: Olive skin, dark eyes and black bob haircut. 5'3'', petite frame, quite muscular. Wears sealskin jacket and leather trousers. Doesn't like wearing shoes.
  • Starting Weapons: Short wooden stick, about a foot long, used as a Focuser. Leather sling and pebbles. Small knife, supposed to be used for gutting fish, but could be used to fight in an emergency
  • Other Equipment: A belt with sealskin pouches holding her Focuser, her knife, her sling and pebbles, her clothes when she's swimming, some dried fish, a skin of water, an engineer's notebook and maps
  • Element Affinity: Electrical
  • Starting Sub Element Category: Shock

  • Continent and Hometown: A small island of the coast of the Solar Empire, with a small imperial presence
  • Backstory: Bobbie grew up as part of a group of seachildren living near a small human town that had hired them to catch fish. • Name: Augustin Chevalier

  • Species/Class: Kitsune

  • Gender: Male

  • Age: 234

  • Nationality: France

  • Appearance and clothing: Like all kitsune Augustin appears as a white fox with multiple tails* in his animal form. He has purple eyes and his body type can be best described as sinuous. Since he finds it rather hard to wear armour (aside from when he's in human form), for the most part he has to settle for custom made bracers to protect his legs and paws.

In terms of clothing, he wears a brown leather waistcoat and a thin white undershirt, as well as a pair of black trousers. He also wears a belt with easy access pouches to store items in. His human form is (obviously) clothed in the same fashion. Augustin has pale skin and retains his eye and hair colour in his human form. In his human form he is also somewhat tall.

  • Starting Weapons: In order to take advantage of his great speed, Augustin uses a stiletto thanks to how lightweight it is. However, he technically has several stilettos, since he stores the others in a seperate dimension and summons them to use as reusable projectiles*. The stiletto also struggles with armour, so in order to harm someone wearing such protection he needs to find gaps in it.

His only other weapon - and one that he can only use in human form - is a double barrelled flintlock pistol. Due to how primitive it is, it's rather inaccurate, unreliable, and very cumbersome to reload. It's better suited to intimidation than actual combat.

  • Other Equipment: Augustin Chevalier carries a notepad and pencil with him at all times to jot down any useful details. He also carries some rations and money on him at all times.

  • Element Affinity: Balance magic, as per all other kitsune.

    • Starting Sub Element Category: Time-Space

  • Personality: Augustin likes to imagine he's a dashing gentleman adventurer, but in reality he has something of an inflated ego. He prides himself on doing things well, but it can be infuriatingly difficult to get him to do something he considers "beneath" himself. He is a relatively amicable person to talk to, and curiosity can get the better of him (especially when it comes to new locations).

He regards those from the Lunar Republic with some suspicion, but not to the extent that he won't befriend them. He quite enjoys the finer things in life, though he tries to pretend otherwise. Finally, he prefers to remain in his fox form whenever possible.

  • Continent: Solar Empire

    • Hometown: Soleil

  • Backstory: The only son of a pair of shopkeepers, Augustin rapidly grew bored of life in Soleil. With some prodding by his best friend, Leon, he decided to become a treasure hunter and adventurer (his parents only reluctantly gave him permission to set off). The pair had several adventures, although they slowly drifted apart.

This eventually culminated in a fight between them over the small matter of whether to support the Solar Empire or the Lunar Republic, or indeed whether to stay out of it altogether. Though neither was seriously injured, from this day forward they regarded each other as rivals rather than friends.

Augustin drifted from place to place, occasionally having run ins with Leon, until he heard about the Imperial Prince's quest. The promise of fantastic riches, a grand adventure, and the possibility of being immortalised in song and legend as one of the brave souls who helped the Imperial Prince, he leapt at the opportunity.

  • Name: Tiburon C. Carcharias, known otherwise as Bloody-Bones the Bruce, Carcharias the Abysmal, and to his friends, Five Row
  • Species: Seachildren/Shark-type
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 29
  • Nationality: Caribbean descendant
  • Appearance:
    • Physical:On land, he's about six and a half feet tall and very stout in comparison to other Seachildren, but with an overall muscular body. Like most people in his native spot of the ocean, his skin is an ambiguously brown shade, starkly contrasting his hair, which hangs down towards his sternum several pitch-black braids. A thick, bushy beard (also braided) hangs down with his hair. His back is peppered with the scars of old puncture wounds and cuts, the most prominent of these running from the front of his left shoulder-blade to his right hip. His eyes are a dark brown, which instinctively roll upwards into a blank, milky white when he's angry or weary. A total of six golden rings pierce his eyebrows, with three evenly spaced rings on each. In his mer-form, he goes from six to nearly twelve feet long, with the upper half of his sea-body being a dark blackish-blue (almost like a nasty bruise) and the lower being blank white. His shark form is 27 feet long, with the scars and indents reappearing as thick white lines and pock-marks. Across the upper part of his belly is a black tattoo of the continental arrangement, which doubles as the symbol of his particular clan, surrounded by circular chain with periodic breaks, a symbol of a particular choice he's made.
    • Clothing/Armor: Suitable to his aggressive fighting style and the conveniences of being a sea-child, Bruce makes it a point not to wear what he couldn't replace cheaply and quickly. More often than not, he's kept decent by little more than a loose, baggy set of pants, a thick black cloak, boots, and a massive, metal-plated belt to keep his gut in-check (both from arrows spilling in and it spilling out). Currently, he scored a pair of fitting plate-gauntlets to help him block incoming blows, and perhaps deliver a hell of a punch.
  • Weapons: An eight foot tall trident (he calls it 'Rita'), which he's wielded for most of his life. Her oaken shaft his reinforced by the peculiar black metal that composes the weapon's head. He had it forged personally for his hands, from a large chunk of mineral ore that he saw fall into the ocean. By the time he reached it, he'd almost been snapped in two by the deep-sea pressure, but that's another story. He carries a large net wrapped around his hip, that he wields alongside the trident if his opponent get's to close for comfort. This way he can snag them or their weapons, and catch projectiles. Otherwise he carries around four flintlock pistols on his person to play the long-game range with. These (being flintlocks) only fire once, and don't well fire at all if they're wet. That being said, they don't get much use.
    • Other Equipment: A leather satchel strapped to his belt containing: a good amount of gold, dried fish, a canteen full of whiskey, a few regional maps of the mainlands, spark-stone, a compass a sponge, a whetstone, and a steel shiv. The satchel water-proofed and water tight, natch.
  • Elemental Affinity: Water
    • Sub-Category: Water Movement, but working on drawing it from alternative sources (for obvious reasons)
  • Personality: Direct, and blunt as an incoming mace, but with none of the discipline or reserve that this might imply. Rather, Bruce is a (mer)man of simple pleasures (gold, women, being feared and envied), and choice few ways of seeking those pleasures. If he can get what he needs without bloodshed, that good, but it's even better if what he wants comes with a decent fight. He's certainly not beyond sparing a person's life, that being said, but he's not beyond leaving that person with less in that life. On the other hand, he has a surprising capability of sharing what he takes, wether that be a laugh, a pint, or some silverware he plundered from a trade vessel that he may or may not have sunk single-handedly. He has deep contempt for royalty and aristocracy, valuing ones own feats as the only thing worth practical merit.
  • Continent: He was born in the waters in-between them, though closer to the Lunar Republic. It won't necessarily effect his loyalties to either nation, being that he could die if he was caught in a wrong way after twelve hours. Instead
  • Backstory: Born into the largest of the five Sea-Child clans in 'The Great Bite' (the sea-childrens' name for the archipelago in-between the continents), Tiburon came into life as a member of the clans warrior cast by the virtue of his species. It was his assigned life task to protect his tribe from external threats, though to Tiburon's chagrin, that often translated into 'securing the interests of the Ruling Class'. At best, this entailed making raids on the other tribes for their resources. At worst, it meant actively suppressing (read; treatening, kidnapping, or outright assaulting) members of his own clan, or even close relatives, so that they would yield to the ruling caste. At the age of 19, he abandoned his clan and the caste system all-together, taking to piracy as a means to feed himself. Before he left, he tried to persuade his immediate family of escaping with him, but they refused. It was a capitol crime amongst his people, with little to nothing in the way of a trial or peer review once you've been caught. With the skills he'd acquired as a member of the warrior caste (few of which themselves turned to piracy due to the privileges of their position), he quickly gained an infamy not limited to the Sea-Children. Any person with heavy coffers and a title to their name wasn't safe to travel in-between the continents. There were times that, with the bands of rogue Sea-Children at his command, Armadas from either continent were called in just to dissuade them. This all plays into exactly why Tiburon is taking this job. One, a pardon for his past crimes wouldn't hurt. Two, ending the war in-between the Sun and Moon is a damn fine boast. Three is the most important; with the war ended, more trading vessels (and less military vessels) might begin traveling in his waters, boosting his 'income' exponentially. He really likes that part.

Name (try and make the name make sense based on the nationality you pick): Kristian "Kris" Welliams

Species/Class: Ninja/Assassin

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Nationality (pick a country to descend from, this can affect your appearance if you want to): USA

Appearance and clothing (including all starting armor and shields): Kris is about 6"2, give or take an inch, with a skinny frame and brown hair with a noticeable cowlick. He has his trademark black glasses on over his dark, piercing green eyes. There are leather spikes on the sleeves of his white, green, and black hoodie. When a button is pressed, the tips of the spikes turn into a sharp steel/iron blend. His pants are burned leather, with a secret compartment in them that holds smoke bombs. Kris' boots are leather, and go halfway up to his knees.

Starting Weapons (Describe it in words or use a picture): The spikes on his sleeves, smoke bombs, and twin daggers that slip out of his sleeves.

Other Equipment (not necessarily combat oriented): A leather shield made for him by his father. It can fold into a small square pad which easily slips into one's pocket.

Element Affinity: Balance

Starting Sub Element Category: Time-Space

Personality: Kris is quite the trickster. He likes joking around and pulling harmless pranks on the inhabitants of Expolion. He has quite the knack for running into trouble and helping people along the way. The one thing he hates the most is to see someone in pain or suffering, due to his background.

Continent (Lunar or Solar side? You can even pick the middle islands or offshore in the ocean)and Hometown (ask me if you want me to make a town that's not on the map, and I'll make an appropriate one): Lunar, the small island of Expolion that is to the southwest of the Lunar Republic.

Backstory (talk about family and friends, and your character’s motivations): During the beginning of the war, Kris' parents were kidnapped by the Solar Empire and taken to a prison camp. His uncle, who was a master of Ninpo and the ninja arts, took Kris under his wing, trained him, and gave him a place to stay. Later on, Kris' uncle had to leave to train people for the war. Kris was left with one of his cousins, who was a drunkard and also abusive, for about a year. After training with his uncle for a little while longer, he wanted to find a way to end the war.

Name: Ganriel Sjun (Gahn-ree-el Shun)

Species/Class: Human-Assassin

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Nationality: African American/Kind've Haitian...barely.

Appearance and Clothing: Gabriel wears the normal stereotypical ninja gear, except that all his clothing is navy blue and that he has modified it slightly. For one, on his arms are pouches that go all the way down to, and connect to, the back of his palms(he carries his smoke bombs there). Secondly, his leggings/pants aren't baggy but tight, with a very light, metallic camouflage pattern scaling down it. His shirt isn't baggy either, and also has the metallic pattern. On the head portion, no real changes have been made, except for the fact that there are gill-like lines on the side of his face. Over his suit, he wears a very thin, faded black, chestplate, cut off near his high thighs for mobility. He also has a knights face piece(the part that swings down)over his mouth connected to the back of his head(there is a leather piece connected in with the fabric back there). The piece is clean, gleaming silver. For his physical appearance, his complexion is a milk chocolate brown color and his eye color is a piercing, hazel. He has short hair that closely follows his head. His build is a skinny muscular. On his arms and legs are numerous scars. Some of them fresh. His face has been cut alike, with a cut going diagonally over his right cheek to the middle of his chin.

Starting Weapons: Bo Staff- A navy blue Bo staff with 3 black stripes at both ends of it. It has 2 metal rings that split the staff into 3 equally sized parts, making it foldable and easy to conceal. Also, at one end of the staff, there is a small hook to hold onto things with. Kusarigama- a navy blue kusarigama with 3 black stripes at the bottom of the handle. The blade is a normal scythe curve.

Other Equipment: Navy blue smoke bombs

Element Affinity: Electricity

Starting Sub Element Category: Electricity- Shocking + Construct

Personality: He is very serious for his age and normally considered as "unforgiving". Emotions have been blocked out of his mind for chance of being bias(a practice at his village). He only has a few people who are close to him, and to gain his trust you have to prove yourself as a strong, smart, fighter. I guess you could call him a Vulcan. (I just saw the Star Trek movie...)

Continent: Lunar Republic

Hometown: A small village at the northern tip of the Lunar Republic that normally has 20-30 people in it at a time. Either people leave the village to go to a bigger one or they die of unknown reasons.

Backstory: He grew up in a small village with no rules except for survive. After losing many close friends(he never knew any relatives), he grew cold, strong, and stealthy. Once he got to the age of 16, tired of being under privileged, he went to the capital of the Lunar Republic and started stealing from the rich, keeping it for himself. Eventually he made a small group of amateur assassins like him, killing and stealing for their greedy appetites.

  • Name: Leonard Valenth

  • Species/Class: Human

  • Gender: Male

  • Age: 19

  • Nationality: Lunar Republic, his home town being inspired culturally by a Renaissance Italian town.

  • Appearance and clothing: Leonard is a handsome young man with short cut black hair and dark-green eyes, with a wiry, muscular build. He usually wears slightly armored garbs, including an overcoat with two pauldrons sewn on to the shoulders with distinctive spikes, armored gauntlets, and a black shirt with a chain mail shirt underneath, purely in case he ends up being attacked up close, with some odd runes apparently carved into it. He wears black leather pants, and steel toed boots. Leonard has a familiar looking scar on his forehead, mainly from an old "science experiment".

  • Starting Weapons: A curved sword and a black wood staff that ends in what looks like a carved skull with two rubies in the eye sockets.

  • Other Equipment: He always carries a backpack with him that has his "alchemist's specials" in it. He has a very nasty concoction in a particular container called "Demon Powder" that can turn corpses into vicious monsters under his control. He has a lot of other, seemingly miscellaneous potions that normally seem like they'd have no use...

  • Element Affinity: Balance

  • Starting Sub Element Category: Alchemy, and he's already working on trying for Time-Space.

  • Personality: Leonard is a rather odd man who, while acting chivalrous and nice, is a very dark individual who likes to tease and play with the emotions of others, mostly in order to accomplish one end or another, mostly in order to try to become a Wizard. He plans very well, and is skilled at judging the character of people. Despite his chessmaster-y personality, he has a bizarre tendency to leap into the fray in an ostentatious and over the top manner to protect young women who he has barely met. When doing this, he himself is confused as to why he's so willing to help people he's barely met. He can be quite comically serious at times, while other times telling odd jokes that probably cross a few lines. Leonard claims that he cannot ignore suffering, but later claims he did it because it amused him "to watch people squirm further into their grave". Where his actual morality falls is not decided. He seems to be very, very sore about his past, and it apparently involved losing a loved one. Unlike other people with such a nickname, Leonard is very proud to be called "The Necromancer", and exploits it to make gains in his "plans". He considers himself The Casanova, but is really bad at it, mostly because his pick up lines are rather morgue.

  • Continent: Lunar. His home town is called Reschall, and all he's willing to say about it is that he was banished.

  • Backstory: Leonard was born into a small town called Reschall, which had a record of producing highly talented magic users, and he was no exception. Leonard was always, though, obsessed with defeating death and other natural forces, and changing the workings of the world. He simply doesn't accept something because someone told him its the natural order. At some point, both his girlfriend and his sister died, and he tried to do something that resulted in him being banished. After that, he began to travel to old battlefields and collect traces of bodies, in order to try to "understand". He is somewhat feared in a local area around him as being "The Necromancer". Despite his dark personality, though, he does have a fair share of secret friends who insist Leonard is not as bad as he insists he is.

  • Name: Artyom. Officially, known as Ferrum Atrum.
  • Species/Class: Golem
  • Gender: “Male”
  • Age: 451
  • Nationality: Solar Empire, with smatterings of Soviet from his creators.
  • Appearance and clothing: At 11 feet tall, Artyom stands head over shoulders over most, even other golems serving under him. His body is of dark iron and resembles the style of a plague mask wearing, armored foreman.
  • Starting Weapons: Reinforced Pickax.
    • Other Equipment: A sackful worth of Precious Minerals and Gems, Books on the Creation of Golems, and Broken Ballista parts.
  • Element Affinity: Earth
    • Starting Sub Element Category: Minerals
  • Personality: Artyom is a consummate professional, rational, and always true to his word. He is a natural leader, owing to his origin, but greatly value independence and creativity amongst those under his commands. When not concerned with presenting a respectable face as a self-appointed representative to “his” people, Artyom is a caring, compassionate soul. He will help those in need, though he sees himself as devoted to a higher cause- he will not risk his own life, and the completion of his goal, without it helping to further the emancipation of all golemkind. Small possibility of being turned into a Well-Intentioned Extremist by a particularly manipulative person, as his natural inclination to obey commands make him quick to trust others when not consciously countered by his own willpower.
  • Continent: Solar side, from a town noted for its capacity to produce cheap golems as workforce.
  • Backstory:

    • Created as a foreman for a team of golem workforce, Artyom possessed a strong leadership streak and autonomy not seen in other golems. This in itself would not be cause for problem, if not for the fact that one day- but several years after his fourth centuries in loyal service- a certain individual appears in town. Some would call him a terrorist, and other a freedom fighter. There are those who swear by their ancestors that he was a mighty Wizard, and several who dismissed him as a particularly cunning charlatan.

    • While the true accounts of that fateful day have passed on into the annals of history –that is to say, either completely forgotten or twisted into some kind of horror story to ward against children’s misbehavior- it could not be denied that Artyom attain a level of sentience equivalent to that of natural born golem- and he was not pleased. From the mines came a piercing, deafening scream, and a very large, exceptionally angry golem bear onto the town like a bat out of hell itself. An 11-feet tall bat armed with a Ballista he stole from a passing caravan.

    • The town would not be destroyed that day, however. The caravan was accompanied by several capable magi guards, and the town itself possesses a veritable army of militia just for such a contingency. What ultimately drives him away, however, was the golem workforce. Specifically, those under his own command. Unable to raise his hand against those who scant hours again was his loyal followers, he was forced to flee. There are no blood, no sweats, no glands, and no tear inside the body of a golem. Such organic, frivolous things were unnecessary. But nevertheless, Artyom cried that day, and he vowed to free his brothers and sisters. There were no other ways about it- Golems are property. He did not succeed because he stole a property, the ballista, and he never will be accepted if he remains a criminal. Should he try once more to use force in freeing his brothers and sisters, Artificial Golems will never be accepted as a free people.

    • His current goals in descending amount of priority are to work for coins to purchase his fellow golems out of servitude, find the, or at least a, Wizard to grant them free will, and to reassemble his trusty ballista. He also really wants to start some kind of a Worker’s Union.

  • Appearance and clothing (including all starting armor and shields): Wears a chainmail and leather ensemble over her body, along with some bits and pieces of metal armor at random places, mostly over her important bits. She has tanned skin and moderate length sandy brown hair.

  • Starting Weapons (physical booster or magic booster, pick one and you can only use one at a time. If you can't get a picture, describe it in words and I'll try to draw it for you. ): A one-handed saber and a spiked gauntlet.

  • Other Equipment (not necessarily combat oriented): A bent metal armlet on her right arm, a dirty iron necklace with a circular ornament, a pair of earrings…other unimportant crap.

  • Element Affinity: Wind.

  • Starting Sub Magic Category: Slicing.

  • Personality: She never really grew out of her free-spirited roots and thus remains as such in her adult life. She is quite friendly, jovial and carefree. A few concerns that are held by others are more like foreign concepts to her than anything, for example, manners and public nudity…don’t ask. Still, she is somewhat cautious around new people, to a degree.

  • Continent (Lunar or Solar side? You can even pick the middle islands or offshore in the ocean): …I have no idea. ._. I guess Solar.

  • Backstory (talk about family and friends, and your character’s motivations): Amiri’s childhood on the mountains allowed her to grow up happy, carefree, and experience a life without worry. When she reached a certain age, she left her mountainous home, her loving family, and her previous life to search for a more adventurous lifestyle, having grown bored of the daily humdrum of her old life.
