Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Waaaaaaay too big.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Yeah, I think the current is superior to the suggestion. There's way too much going on here.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Everyone is talking about what? That's a bad reason for replacing an image.
Current is better.
Check out my fanfiction!@Stratadrake
I can easily re-size it.
@reth
dude it's pretty clear what is going in that pic. It's a portrayal of the ship wars that go on in the Naruto fandom.
Also really? It's one big fan battle royal.
Plus the one I suggested is funny and blatantly clear portrayal of shipping.

"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenIt's also way too busy to easily see what's going on at first glance. The current works better in that one can more quickly get the gist of the trope from looking at that than the suggestion.
I'm getting a Fan Myopia sense from this—it's not very clear what's happening. The image is very confused and busy. It's really very unclear what the shipping is in this case (the Yuri/Yaoi distinction doesn't help—it makes it seem like some sort of Het Is Ew debate). Having three cars and a bunch of people I don't recognize (especially with them fighting amongst each other rather than the implied separation of shippers in the current) isn't very helpful.
The current is far superior.
People are shotting at each other from cars. It's like the current but more confusing since there's so many people I can't tell who's fighting for whom and they're cars instead of ships (how do you know when someone's won?) I don't see a portrayal of the ship wars that go on in the Naruto fandom. If a person has to be familiar with this fandom to see it then it doesn't work.
Keep the current. It's actually an established battle between the fandom's desires and the established canon of the series.
Here's the suggestion at 350 px. The current is much more clear; the suggestion would be good for an Image Links page.

I agree that the current pic is better than the suggested replacement, for the same reasons as others have stated. The proposed replacement is too "busy" and is not very clear because of that. The current pic is simpler and easier to understand and so gets the message across more efficiently. Stay with the current pic.
Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMKeep the current image. It's funny, and it doesn't require any knowledge of Avatar: The Last Airbender to understand it. Works as a Visual Pun as well. Additionally the image suggested is recent. What's relevant now is not necessarily relevant months later.
Honestly, the proposed replacement picture doesn't illustrate the trope at all in my opinion. To me, it just looks like people in a car having an argument with more people in another car. It looks more like an illustration for Road Rage than anything else.
And this is what's wrong with the proposed replacement image IMO. A good page image shouldn't require the viewer to know the image source or the work which is depicted therein. The proposed image requires both.
Contrariwise (as Tweedledee said), the current image fulfills both requirements for a good page image.
Therefore I propose a vote to stick with the current image.
Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMI also like the current better. The Visual Pun and cannon/canon joke make it for me.
The suggestion @1 is fine, but only for fans, really. However, Couchpotato, you may set up the Image Links sub-page and post a link there. It would be a nice addition.
The Image Links page is made. The consensus is to keep the current; locking up.
Since the latest Naruto chapter all everyone talking about is this
and well thought this should be the new trope pic in regards to shipping◊
