I'd like to object, sometimes things get nerfed when thier merely good or even not that good. I.e Lash in Advance Wars 2 was merely an above average co outclassed by the likes of Colin, Grit, Sonja in fog, etc but had her stats sliced in half in the next game. That is still a nerf.
Pardon, but I don't get at all what you are saying.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHe's saying that the definition of Nerf shouldn't be limited to a Game-Breaker. Which he doesn't have to worry about, since that's the consensus reached in this topic and on the page's description. It's just about a weapon/item/character/tactic being made weaker.
Now I'm just throwing this out there, but maybe instead of splitting by genre, we could split by the type of nerf. One category for breaking a Game-Breaker, one for just weakening another item, and one for weakening an item in one way but improving it in others (a lateral nerf).
Just throwing it out there.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDefinitely shouldn't be dependent on it, but I think specifying which Nerfs were done as an Obvious Rule Patch isn't a bad idea. But then again, that can simply be done in the examples themselves.

A "nerf" is simply "an option is made weaker after an update". While game breakers are often the target of nerfs, it isn't a necessary condition. A Scrub and a "Stop Having Fun" Guy would have wildly different opinions on what constitutes a game breaker, but the nerf is objectively definable.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! Is there anything else to do here? It looks like the description issue is settled, and we probably can't do much about the page ordering.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've got some free time. I'll handle the sort.
I don't see anything that needs to be done with this now.
Finished.
^^Alas, I am not familiar enough with games to sort that. I'll add it under Pages Needing Example Sorting - otherwise, we should be done here.
