Back when it first premiered, most animated shows were safe for family viweing. Now, there are several adult-oriented animated shows that are often stereotyped as being excessively vulgar, making Beavis And Butthead more corny in comparison to said shows.
Oh. I thought it was supposed to be that corny. "They think they're so extreme..."
I think that was the direction the 2011 season was aiming for.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatNever watched it myself, but I always assumed that the point was to make fun of their idiocy rather than to appeal to people with that mindset. Basically, parodying horny, immature teenage boys.
Also providing a springboard for Daria.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. That was what Mike Judge was going for. Unfortunately not everyone understood this.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!About the Looney Tunes cartoons, sure they're arguably the most iconic cartoon shorts but it's a bit subjective to say that they're still funny(or always funny). Not to say they aren't of course, but what made them humorous in their original context does change as well as its impact.

I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsLooney Tunes was very topical in its gags at times, so there's obviously gonna be plenty of references that fly over the heads of the younger viewers. As well as songs that they'll think originated with the shorts.
I never got the appeal of Beavis And Butthead. It always looked like two idiots making innuendos and generally being stupid for half an hour.
