Barb wire, a record of Bach's Air on the G-string, and a mysterious crackling noise. And just a day after they announced they're done with Skyrim. Also, confirmed to be not Fallout related, so hush.

EDIT: My bet's on Zwei getting an announcement soon.

I want Bethesda to make another Cthulhu game, myself...

What kind of name for a thing is Zwei? It just means two...

Two... Survival horror...
This had better be Call of Cthulhu 2.

New Wolfenstein, most likely.

[up]Seems a bit spooky for Wolfenstein.

EDIT: [up][up]It's being made by a dev team that has worked on Resident Evil, Devil May Cry 1, and Killer 7. So, close enough.

It's not confirmed to not be Fallout related. One person on Twitter just said "Guess again". He could be trolling.

I want it to be Arcanum 2, but Call of Cthulhu 2 seems more likely...

@occono, said person is Pete Hines, vice president and head of PR at Bethesda. I think we can trust him.

[up] I knew he worked at Bethesda, but the guy he replied to said he's likely messing with him specifically. It could just have been meant to troll him, seriously. I wouldn't rule it out. Besides:

  • Vine 1: an old-timey record. Fallout.
  • Vine 2: Burning sunflowers. Like the Nuclear blasts burned up all plant life.
Also, Three Dog's actor teased it earlier. And I don't see them having another new IP right after Dishonored.

....Actually, hmm. Maybe it isn't. Still, I'd imagine they'll announce it soon anyway. Can't imagine what this is otherwise.

... Why would it be Arcanum 2 or Call of Cthulu 2?

Last I checked, Arcanum was never owned by Bethesda (and if it is now, I might have to cry.) I don't know about Call of Cthulu, but the first game was so bad I doubt it would get a sequel.

[up]The first COC was pretty good, I thought. Just, you know, unfinished. What with the whole bankruptcy thing...

I would love to see a Call of Cthulhu game that was more playtested and polished before being shipped. The original game had a lot of great ideas and scary moments, but was held back by the bugs, roller-coaster-esque difficulty curve, and Guide Dang It! final level.

[up][up] I have no idea who owns Arcanum, as Sierra and Troika are both defunct. All we have is pure speculation as to what this is, seeing as few things leap to mind when "barbed wire, classical music and burning sunflowers" are basically all we have to go on.

This isn't Elder Scrolls, its all but confirmed to not BE Fallout, yep its Brink 2.

Fuck...sad

Then again it could be a new IP. Even though, you know, we've already got Dishonored and Brink.

I'm guessing its a horror game.

But there's some good ideas in Brink, right? Surely they could take what worked, cut out what didn't, and add in new stuff that complements the old stuff to make a better game, right?

Why would it be Brink? I'm stretching as is when I say Call of Cthulhu 2, but I just don't see the connection there.

Brink for PC was pretty good, esp. after the patches.

I liked Brink, but it was lacking in so many ways. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel that polishes up the game and has more content, but I'm wondering whether or not Brink sold copies.
