Going to miss Ward this season. Without him there's less team-killing going on. That said there wasn't much left for him to do at this point. His destiny was ultimately "get corpsejacked by an alien squid monster and jettisoned into the sun."
Ironically it was during this phase that Skye was completely and utterly devoted to him.
I'm actually kind of glad Hunter and Bobbi are gone - I never did get my Hunter vs Ward fight - except that now the romantic undertones have been pushed onto Fitzsimmons.
I would kind of hope that said moles are working for your side though.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I sometimes wonder why you even keep watching the show considering that you don't really appear to enjoy it.
Well.... the reveal of the new director is kinda anticlimatic. I expected someone we were familiar with, for a twist.
If it was someone we already knew, they would have said as much before the show premiered, and the characters wouldn't have danced around the director's identity. You had plenty of time to prepare yourself for a new face.
It's not some new character. They deliberately kept his name secret, so it has to mean something. And since Coulson address him as "Jeffrey," some are speculating that he is Jeffrey Mace.
x5 - well, we're before the second episode of the season, it still might come up with something decent later on. It's just the start that looks terribly lazy, as I'm not at all sold on the "Vigilante Skye" schtick, and the Ghost Rider seems badly written. It'll get better, I think.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisHow the hell is Ghost Rider "badly written"???
Do we know for sure Brett Dalton isn't in this season? I'm still not ruling out a Life Model Decoy of him just for added angst.
I would seriously applaud them for that just to enjoy the audience meltdown.
I'd also find it pretty funny just to see them mess with the cast. "Jesus what the f'ck we threw you into the sun why are you still alive! Fitz, build an Anti-Ward gun!"
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!RE: Moles: When you have a bunch of trained spies working for you, taught to infiltrate organizations and become a part of it; you shouldn't be surprised if ever they turn out not to be working for you for realzies actually.
Well, he seems to be a forced addition to me. A conflicted bad guy/vigilante popping from out of nowhere for pretty much no reason besides being a vigilante and going after the particular group of cliched thugs Skye was following. Hell, Skye's vigilante arc looks pretty dumb too. Couldn't we, I don't know, be reminded that Titus Welliver's character is still out there and dangerous? And go deeper into that Sokovia Accords CF and what it means instead of having meaningless three-second money shots of Ghost Rider thrown at us for no reason?
Do. Not. Even. Think. About it.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisI'm pretty sure they are going to bring back Titus Welliver's character, since Daisy is going after the Watchdogs and their funding (which Coulson mentions). The Inhumans and the Watchdogs are going to play an important part of the season and that includes Former Agent Felix Blake.
I think Skye's vigilante arc looks great and so does the addition of Ghost Rider.
Watching the recap, I have a thought: May, you live in the Marvel Universe! When you start hallucinating weird shit, TELL SOMEONE, for Thor's sake!
Kid wakes up to a ghost at night.
Anyone else reminded of the "reflecting planes" stuff from the Doctor Strange trailers when you look at the green stuff in the box?
Daisy laying it kind of thick with the double meanings there.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!That's putting it mildly.
New director seems like Jason O'Mara.
Huh. From everything I'd hear, I expected this Director to be a total Douchey McJerkface, but he's slightly less of one than I thought he would.
Also, May? TELL SOMEONE ABOUT THE HALLUCINATIONS! Even if you don't think it's ghosts, you should at least think it's an alien or Inhuman causing it!

Ghost reunion!
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Is Darkforce involved? Again?
"You sold your soul to the Devil?"
"He's the only one who was buying."
I love this show's banter.
The long and uninspired "meeeh" from the last episode came up again (because my reaction to the episode overall was a long and uninspired "meeeh"). So, this guy here's some PR monkey Kicked Upstairs, and May is apparently freaking out thanks to whatever was in the last episode's magic box.
Good that at least the dead horse named Grant Ward was finally shot out into space and blown up. He certainly overstayed his welcome a season and half ago.
