Arcana Heart is a better fit then Battle Fantasia, which would work better if it fought against a slower fighter like Street Fighter or King of Fighters, Vertigo.

Arcana heart isn't even an ASW game, one title port was published by them yeah but it belongs and was developed by examu. Battle fantasia plays slower yeah but so what? The characters could be modified enough to fit the desired pace of the crossover while still remaining their feel. Every VS game has done it to some degree so it's not anything new(Capcom even crosses characters from non fighting games). Sides BF Needs More Love and should get another chance to shine, and it'd be interesting to see them done in 2D sprite form like they were going to be originally. Also It'd seem wrong if an ASW game that actually influenced SF 4 would be glossed in favor of a game from an examu series ASW published a port of once :/

They never went back to Battle Fantasia Because it was never popular.
Besides, Style wise, Arcana Heart fits an ASW crossover better as a whole, whether you like it or not.
The April fools day crossover made it eve more likely.

@On AH/BF: Well it's not like we can't have both...they both have history with ASW(though AH less so). But truthfully I never got the appeal of AH. The overmoe is just too much of a turn-off and most of the cast bores me design wise(the arcana themselves look cool though). BF isn't the greatest fighter but seeing in an ASW crossover seems like it'd be really cool.
