Poor Image: No Body Left Behind

An image was added without discussion here. It's quite artifacted, and I don't feel it illustrates the trope well to begin with. I say pull it.

And the caption has a case of Rouge Angles of Satin.

This is probably going to take a multi-panel to do right. What about Yoda's death in Return of the Jedi? Say, one of him lying prone (and that might not even be needed), one of his body fading, and one of his empty clothes.

It's a poor illustration of the trope, but the pixelation is horrendous.

First thing that came to mind was Obi Wan's death in Star Wars. Might take a multipanel, but Vader standing over his robes would illustrate it well.

That was the other thing I thought of...perhaps a cap of Vader making the killing blow and Obi-wan's clothes piled up.

I'm going to say that while the pixelation is rather horrible, it still illustrates the trope, so if we somehow manage to fail to find a better one, I think we should keep it.

It doesn't illustrate it because it looks like the body is being vaporized by energy. The trope is about fading away after the person dies, not dying by disintegration.

Yeah. Misleading + quality issues = pull, for me.

This could have a single-panel illustration, but it'd have to be very good and clear, and a GIS doesn't turn up what I'm looking for. #5 would probably work fine.

I'm pretty sure this◊ could be adapted into a good image.

Maybe just the top 2 panels?

That would be an improvement.

Too text reliant.

I really like the Garo idea from 10.1/11.1. This trope is their most sacred code, so they are a perfect example.

Frankly it looks like the guy rigged himself with explosives...

How about this picture I took from the game? I doesn't show the explosion because this trope is not about exploding. It's about disappearing after death.

I like the idea about Vader standing over Obi-Wan's robes, but I can't find an image of it.

That's pretty good...could we get a good shot of Vader actually making the killing strike to couple with that?

I was thinking of that. This was a screenshot I took on my computer. I'm typing on my phone now (which is a pain), so I'll get that picture later tonight.

I think the illustrated shot of Vader and the robe by it's self is good.

You don't really see that it's a robe. And it's rather dark. Though that can be helped...

If I recall MM correctly, the Garo DID rig itself with explosives, thus isn't this trope.

Only the Garo Master. The regular Garo Ninjas just disappear.
