You should start worrying about helmet now IMO. The first helmet I got was Phoenix, and ember is only my fourth or fifth frame, and I have a couple of other helmets for the future. It's thinking ahead really. I just started my Volt even though my Embrr isn't maxed yet.

Also, never tried the burston, but maybe the Grakata or Latron would tickle your fancies.

The Burston is nice because it conserves ammo really well and is pretty good at snagging headshots. Mine is almost maxed out with a catalyst and everything and it works really well. But I'm wondering if I should get another rifle for higher damage output.

I tried to use shotguns but it's pretty slow going leveling one, for me at least.

Latron should be a direct upgrade then.

It's accurate, it doesn't eat a lot of ammo and kicks ass.

Very easy to land headshots, and with mods you practically have a snipetron with more ammo and more awesome all around.

Heads up, there's an alert on Hyperion on Saturn for a Mag helmet blueprint. Already got mine, there's about 40 minutes left on it.

I'll investigate the Latron then. I suppose there's no harm in selling off my MK 1 Braton if I've got the regular Braton?

Sold mine, and I sure don't regret it perso. It's good, but it's easily replaced by a more specialized weapon.

So I bought the Latron and I've really enjoyed it so far. It's not a burst-fire weapon like the Burston but I'm expending the same amount of effort (two trigger pulls) and using less ammo, so it's still a win.

Alloy plate is a lot harder to find than it should be, I think. I think they should set up missions that are specifically geared around gathering crafting materials or something, because running through an entire mission and getting either 10 (or none) of a semi-rare material (when you need over three hundred) is a good way to get your players to burn out fast.

Corr: One of the later Spy Missions for Earth and repeat runs on the Jackal have yielded most of my Alloy Plates.

Could someone add me into the Tvtropes Clan, because I cannot seem to type it in right, or just can't join for some reason.

You need me to send you an invite to join the clan.

Again, you can PM me with your username or just post it here, whichever you're most comfortable with.

As for Alloy Plate, I've been trying something: I just hang around in a level with infested as long as I can and abuse their spawn rate to farm them by thousands.

Works more or less well, on the one hand, it gives me more Alloy per mission and I can leisurely open every storage containers I find. On the the other hand, it's boring to tears and the higher level in Ceres (not Sedna because Rubedo would spawn too) only has a rescue mission, and the damn hostage could run the whole thing by dying.

All three Ember parts get! Now I must farm Rubedo and get a Neural Sensor, and I'll be good to go! I'm pretty excited about my second warframe, if you can't tell. grin

As you get stronger/get better weapons/play with other people it does get better. Sounds like you had my initial first impression, though.

I'm waiting for level 30 on my Boltor. I believe that with +40% ROF and 20cm overpenetration from Puncture it'll be killing everything with no effort, including those pesky Grineer goons with shields. It'll be "fuck your shield, asshole", and a long burst of bolts going through the shield and into the guy.

It's when you've leveled up enough that you can equip your ability mods that I think it really starts to get good. It also helps to know all the combat maneuvers.

[up][up][up][up] I don't know. Better in what sense? There's something you don't like? Something you like a lot and want more of it?

[up][up] If we could name weapons, this one would deserve the "Penetrator" name.

Also, I added and invited you Jeerome, all there's left to do is accept the invite manually in the clan tab of your contact window.

Also, anyone else than me got sentinels so far? Got myself one of each, and gotta say Shade is darn strong with his cloak, but I like the Wyrm because he's my alarm system and slow whoever's the asshole that snuck up behind me. I wish we could name them, that'd make them more special than "Wyrm (Kinperor)"

Well, my experience with it was following this other guy around and having no idea what was going on. I'm still level 0 so I guess once I figure out how everything works and start actually getting cool stuff, it might become more enjoyable.

Do note, the number in your main menu at the top-left corner isn't important for gameplay reasons (yet). It's the mastery rank, you gain those by leveling your equipment.

Leveling your equipment allow you to customize them with mods (including your basic abilities for your warframe). This page should help you understand mods.

If you have any specific questions, do not hesitate to post them. The game can be very fun when you know what's going on, so I really recommend getting the information you need.

How do you forward ports? The game is yelling at me about something being strict.

If it is asking you to change ports click the gear icon in the top right hand area and there should be a change ports used option. I had that issue for a short while but it went away.

Welp, not familiar with port forwarding. Last time I tried that it all went to shits.

What's giving you trouble, the game or your computer itself?

Okay I'm trying to figure out how Mods work. I put in one that said 2 and it became 3. That's... Misleading.

That's because of "polarities".

See the drawings in the upper right corner of the mod cards? That's a polarity. Matching the drawings with the slots where you put them will make them use less mod capacity.

Putting them on a normal slot will make is use the number you see.

Putting them on a slot that doesn't match will use more of the mods capacity.
