The Machina from Xenoblade would work pretty well, since they're clearly mechanical while also humanesque.

She looks like a girl in a costume to me. Smooth skin on the face and hands, no visible joints there either.

Eitherway, looking human doesn't make them a lifeform. Otherwise all those wax museum statues are lifeforms.

As was mentioned in the Old thread

[up] The Machina would work well as an example, but do you have any more pictures to choose from? I just don't like that one for some reason.

Aside from Vanea, there's also Linada and Egil.

No to Xenoblade, for the reason Cobra cited.

Linada is better, Egil doesn't load to me.

[tdown] to all of those, not clearly mechanical enough.

The one problem I could see with using the Machina is the potential spoiler material; but then again, showing one of them without going into the details barely qualifies as a spoiler, especially compared to most things that go on in that game.

I'm split between both pics in 4. Maybe we could put them one next to the other to show both male and female?

[up] The changes to our copyright policies mean that permission is pretty much a non-issue. That said, if we do go with the pic that was getting overall approval in the last thread, we should link to the original version and credit the artist.

Egil redirects to creativeuncut.

Linada still looks like a girl in a silly outfit. Not particularly mechanical.

Last pic of previous thread is much better [tup]

[tdown] to Egil. Looks more like an armour.

A couple more votes for 17 and we can ride off with it.

The first thing that came to mind was "A Clockwork Origin" from Futurama.

Here's a pic of the robo-dinosaurs from the Futurama Wiki.

Could work for this or Mechanical Evolution, but how about this: [1]?
