Okay, that long post screams effort and leaves me sorta interested.
Still, you should fix the [b] bit and tend them into actual bold and get rid of the [hr]s to make it look more professional and less distracting.
Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.Yeah, there seems to be a whole lot of effort and dedication put into this setting...
...Which is why I've been spending quite some time pulling my hair out trying to figure out a polite way to ask for an abridged version that just includes the really important stuff since I am kind of interested. >.<
It was formatted for a different type of forum system, and I still don't know how to make proper lines here. I will be reworking the formatting later, and I'll change the opening post later. But yes, this has taken me two years and I have plenty of ideas in my head. Though I'm bad at names and locations, so part of the purpose for this is further constructing the world.

"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."At the very least, I can help you with the line breaks thing. Just put 4 -'s on a new line, and...
Whee~
Also don't ask me for name ideas unless you want everything to have a referential and/or horribly punny name.

Hopefully that's much better, and custom Hidden Skills are allowed. Though certain Hidden Skills need to have a convincing character for me to allow them, since there's only one Zero Degree, Creation is insanely rare and Alpha Shield/Omega Blade are called War Ender for a reason.
I'm the kind of person that'll name a fairy the latin translation of the words Bright Slap just because I can. I'll all for references/shout-outs to stuff I don't actually know.

"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Hello, Kkutwar! I remember you from the other forum. Introductions aside, you have my interest. You can expect a bio after I peruse the opening post again.

Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...Are we allowed to be related to royalty in any way?
Depends on how convincing the bio is and to what extent. Just being part of the Lavaian Kingdom means you're likely related to royalty, and I'm totally fine with royal bastards. Though for the most part the leading royalty is already taken. I honestly have no idea for the current Lavaian King but I do have a concept for his daughter. Basically, just ask first if you can be princes/princesses, kings and/or queens. Everything else is fair game, though I do ask you speak with me if these are servants or cousins/etc that are close to the royalty.

"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."I'm interested. I'll read the manual when I'm not feeling as lazy as I am. =P
I will try to complete this later.
- Character Name: Zhiming Shi-bu
- Race/Kingdom: Human(Terra/Aerovu Hybrid), raised in Paladin Kingdom
- Inner Beast: Falcon (Flight, Feather Flechettes, Grappling Hook Hands and Feet)
- Profession: Town Prefect
- Inventory: His jian◊. Anything else he carries is nothing notable, such as his money.
- Bio:
- Age: Early 30s
- Backstory: Zhiming Shi-bu was born blind and orphaned when his traveling family was murdered by bandits. His mother had hidden him to protect her son, and his young body was found by a Paladin couple who decided to rest on the road not long afterwards. Raised by this caring family, who also sensed that he was a hybrid of sorts, the boy was first known as Shi-bu. This name was given to the shy boy who would never come closer than ten paces to anyone not his friend or foster family. When he picked up a sword at ten years of age, those who knew him were afraid he would harm himself, but Shi-bu showed talent with the straight blade. After ten years of training, while receiving his education, Shi-bu showed his mastery of the sword when he defeated a powerful assassin who had entered the village after trying to arrest him. The incident earned him his position as prefect, and his name was now Zhiming Shi-bu, "Deadly at Ten Paces."
- Appearance: Zhiming is dressed in black robes,◊ with a blindfold to cover his eyes beneath his silver mask.◊ The mask is meant to protect his face while the blindfold covers his eyes. He is as brown as people can get in this world.
- Unique Talents: Zhiming is aware of his hybrid nature of Aerovite and Terran kingdoms. His Aerovu talents allow him to travel through the air and dodge attacks, and his Terran talents allow him to travel underground and resist the elements when they pit themselves against him. Combined, they allow Zhiming a unique method of sight. The Terran blood allows him to "see" by feeling the vibrations from the ground, like Toph. The Aerovu blood allows him to detect disturbances in the air and changes in temperature in a limited area. Independent of either, Zhiming also uses echolocation to "see" through life. This lucky combination of opposite natures transforms Zhiming from a remarkable swordsman to a formidable force against crime and evil. Zhiming is also a swift swordsman, his unique method of sight to strike with great accuracy since his echolocation can also detect vital organs like dolphins can. This prevents him from killing criminals by allowing him to make deep, but nonfatal wounds that discourage victims from fighting. He is a skilled martial artist, but he is almost unstoppable with his sword unsheathed from his back.
- Hidden Skills: Zhiming possesses the power of Phantom, using it to surprise foes and criminals on the run with his seeming implacability.
- Personality: Zhiming is shaped by his nature as a swordsman and a prefect. He has a strong sense of honor and justice, and prefers peace over war. He has a strong sense of duty towards his hometown and his family, and would do anything to avenge them if any harm came to them.

Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...I have added some new content to the manual, including a bit about Souls and the mentioning of Reavers. Anyways, I finally realized Sword Manipulation is currently useless when compared to the other Kingdoms. Sure the swords don't disappear if you lose focus, but those with broad Magic can easily surpass Sword Manipulation. I was thinking "Elemental powers", but now I think "Sword Magic".
Anyways, if you're going to be a Kingdomite then for Race label Warrior/Animalius/Naturian/etc for the one you choose. I currently have a concept for Goblins, and I'll be putting up small summaries of the royalty soon.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Kingdomite is basically an ordinary human, right? I didn't find anything about them in the manual.
They're the equal to humans in this universe. Honestly thought it was obvious, but I never had a list of extra races before hand. They're the people that make up the natural citizens and royalty of a Kingdom, who possess the powers listed for each one.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Okay then, I only asked because I didn't want to miss something just in case... I'll be filling my sign-up soon, although it's kind of hard for me since there's no plot.
Plot you say? Well, besides all the potential hooks there have been mass murders by a mysterious figure over the last twenty years. People who have Skills or are Beast-Types keep disappearing, and the Techiakian's queens' younger sister went disappearing when she was six. Activity in the Master Kingdom ruins have been slowly rising since then, and some ancient projects have been reactivating or running loose.
Some of the more notable plot hooks is what happened to the Dove Clan, and where former Golden Knight Bruce Richardson disappeared to. There's much more I can list, but stuff starts becoming focused around a single character such as Raphael Bladerunner's steady descent into madness by the voices in his head or the Terrain King's illegitimate son Cyrus raising a Dragon/Half-Dragon army with his kind-of sort of enslaved Techiakian bio-engineer.

"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Question: Do any of the kingdoms have an Asian-esque/Eastern theme to them, or are a Fantasy Counterpart Culture to Asian stereotypes? Because I was hoping to make a character with Asian themes in him/her.
Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...Everyone's for the most part pretty much British despite imposing people from the Dawn Kingdom makes me think they're scary black men. I don't know why really, and the people most likely to adopt other human cultures are Techiakians. There's really no set counterpart area or race for human cultures, so feel free to have your non-Techiakian character identify with whatever culture you want.
Though thinking about it the Warrior Kingdom would probably take several traits and elements of human warrior culture for their own. They are by nature fighters after all. So if I think hard enough I can probably apply some Asian elements to one of them.

"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Insano, explain what you mean by Town Prefect. His Inner Beast would give him Flight, thus double speed, feather-like dagger things able to be fired and long-distance grappling by firing off his hand/feet armor. So far your character looks good.
The important characters have been moved to the Manual and I've upgraded Sword Manipulation some. I should label more details of the locations and Royals shouldn't I?
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass.""Town Prefect" has the same meaning as "Local Sheriff/Judge." Zhiming is basically allowed judicial authority over his hometown. It is a comparatively low-ranking office of authority. But unless a greater authority from beyond his town arrives, Zhiming is the law of his town.
Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...Character Name: Rellik The Disgraced
Race/Kingdom: Human, Kingdom of Warriors
Inner animal: Bear, Rellik is strong and durable.
Profession: Rellik was once a soldier though has since become a wandering mercenary.
Inventory: Rellik carries a long sword that is well used, he carries a pack with food and money and wears armor over his left arm.
Skills: Rellik is an interesting case as he is unable to use magic, however, He retains the strength. Rellik is a master swordsman, something his lack of an arm doesn't impede. He is also a combat pragmatist. He is also a moderately skilled Tracker and medic.
Bio: Rellik is a 35 year old Warrior of medium build, however, he is still extremely strong, he has messy brown hair and eyes. The Right Side of his face is covered with a brand in the shape of twisting thorns, and his right eye is milky white. He wears tattered leather clothes with the right sleeve ripped off, and armor over his left arm. His right hand is missing under the elbow and wrapped in bandages, a sign from his time in the army. however, as he broke the warrior's oath. The right side of a face is branded with a mark of shame, his right eye is blind. He refuses to state how or why he got it, only stating that it was a foolish move on his part and he deserved it.

Good to be backHow old is Zhiming Shi-bu, and why is he blind? Looks good so far.
I don't see why Rellik was discharged. Losing half his arm and right eyesight might actually make him a memetic badass. Granted sending in disabled people to fight is stupid, but its hardly something they'll kick you outright from the army. How old is he, what's his hair/eye color, and can you expand on his Bio more? Perhaps he broke one of the Warrior's Oath, and was discharged for that?
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Fixed it somewhat. If you want the reason for expulsion, I can PM it.

Good to be backI find myself incredibly enthralled by this. So, if I play a Kingdomite from the Dawn Kingdom, what exactly does being able to use light and darkness mean? I mean, Casting a Shadow and Light 'em Up are obvious ideas, but can I heal, or is it mostly offensive?
edited 8th Apr '13 4:16:07 PM by Dragon573
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Good question. Past-me was rather simplistic with the meanings, so there's additional effects depending on one's morality. Good-aligned characters can heal, while Evil-aligned characters can inflict status effects. Has to be planned out more, but I was considering revising the abilities.
@Troyand: I smell a Half-Human Hybrid here. It is odd if one can't use native skills or magics, and he looks good. Send me the reason why and what he did.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."
If you read the manual you may have noticed all sorts of plot threads, but for now its mainly slice-of-life and exploration of the world. Deeper plotlines will show up later, and you'll probably discover these by exploring the world.
Anything listed (or not listed) in the manual can be used for your character, though the only thing required to know are the short details of the Kingdoms, some of the World stuff and the Kingdoms abilities. Its best advised you use a new original character for this, as things get complicated when important plot gets horribly ruined because someone is using an already well-fleshed out concept.
There is a reason for everything in this world, but like in our world nobody just comes out and spills the secrets of life. By the way, the school here is completely optional and isn't meant for multiple years of study anyways. If something is confusing, just ask and I can explain it.
Now then, the application format.
The Only Required Information:
Reading the short segments of the Kingdoms, Inner Beasts/Hidden Skills/Hybrids, Beast Clans/Beast-Types (Only Animalius required) and the following information.
Kingdom of Warriors:

Due to their superior strength, they also have faster speed and a higher jumping height. They are also harder to knock down, can withstand more damage, and has better reflexes), Blade Growth (They are capable of rapidly growing blade-like bone from their body which they can shape to a degree, and can also detach and fire the bone)

The swords do not have to materialize next to the caster, but they can't appear already inside something. Animalius Kingdom:
Skills: Animal-Speak (You can talk to any kind of creature), Inhuman Speed (You're capable of moving quickly and are only rivaled by the Dawn and Paladin kingdoms. Your reflexes are also better, and aside have better stamina)

Skills: Blinding Speed (You are capable of moving at high speeds, and you move at such speeds that people will have difficulty seeing you. They as well have better reflexes to avoid running into objects, and increased stamina to run for extended periods), Short-Range Teleportation (You can teleport anywhere in a fifty-feet radius minus materializing in the ground of course. You can teleport spam, but would take a while traveling between two kingdoms. You're unable to materialize yourself or anything touching into someone or thing)

Paladin Kingdom:
Skills: Super Strength, Blinding Speed.
Magic: Light/Darkness Magic (Same as above)

For better usage, you have enhanced stamina to retain flight longer, you have an enhanced healing process, and you're capable of holding your breath superhumanly long), Increased Dodging Ability (Can dodge at a faster rate and speed)
Magic: Air and Cloud Manipulation (You can create and control wind and clouds)
