Blue Rose was just a ginormous Hand Cannon, yeah (albeit with two barrels), but Nero could use his demonic powers (aka Semblance) to explosively supercharge them. Given that firearms have the effectiveness of wet confetti in RWBY, it seems a nice upgrade.

... I forgot Alastor existed as both the weapon and the character. No wonder he's pissed off

Hey now, don't forget the ladies of DMC, they kick ass too. Okay, just three of them (counting that one red head from DMC 2) but they kick ass nonetheless.

If there were a God Eater crossover, it would need a heart rending Award-Bait Song by Donna Burke.

I think Ruby might actually like E&I due to how heavily customized they are while still being fairly normal. That's what I love about them, anyway. You can actually customize handguns to look like E&I if you have the money.

What's so special about them?

Which RWBY characters would be the perfect users for any DMC weapons?

I think it's kinda obvious that Ren uses Ebony & Ivory, and Yang with maybe Ifrit or Beowulf. But surely there can be varieties.

How about a RWBY x Persona crossover but instead of focusing on sending a character from the Persona world to the RWBY world just make a character from RWBY a wild card and work from there.

Ren's got a flower motif, right? I call Lucifer. Nevan is a cythe, but a bit too dark for Ruby. Maybe better for Blake. Roman gets Pandora, of course.

• Team RWBY:
  • Ruby: She would probably use Nevan and Spiral.
  • Weiss: I can't imagine her using any of the Devil Arms except maybe Yamato along with Artemis and Nightmare-β.
  • Blake: She could probably get the most out of Lucifer and Coyote-A.
  • Yang: Ifrit, Beowulf, or Gilgamesh along with Kalina Ann.

• Team JNPR:
  • Juane: Just a plain old sword and shield.
  • Nora: She would probably rock Pandora and Rebellion.
  • Pyrrha: She gets the Sword of Sparda and Blue Rose.
  • Ren: He would probably use E&I and Agni & Rundra.

Not sure "Aura" would mix well with Devil Arms, which are essentially transmogrified demonic essence.

Well, it's not like they'd have to use their Aura to strengthen the Devil Arms. My only question is if Aura counts as magic and thus can block Devil Arms (which can cut through anything from the mortal realm not strengthened by magic).

Eh, artistic license. You don't have to take everything into account.

I don't remember anything about Devil Arms being able to cut anything from the mortal realm. But, artistic license should be in effect here, because let's face it - if Devil Arms cut through everything, then Dante overpowers RWBY's cast in a heartbeat.

Well, Red Queen could somehow block Rebellion despite not being magical or demonic in nature so there's that. Then again, it's Nero using so he could just be unconsciously transferring the Devil Bringer's power into it.

Sorry. It's Yamato that is said to be able to cut through anything but I distinctly recall it being said that Devil Arms can only be blocked by other demonic weaponry or magic.

Even Yamato's cutting power is in question, because Kalina Ann was able to block it's strikes, and not even on the blade for some of them.

That might be Gameplay and Story Segregation, or an overstatement of the narrative. That said, Aura is effectively magic, so you can Hand Wave this.

Yeah, when I mess around with the crossover in my head, I assume that Aura counts as magic and can thus block Devil Arms. Still, I'd love to see their reaction to Dante inevitably getting impaled by Rebellion only to brush it off. I'd also like to see their reaction to his Possession Implies Mastery power as he picks up Crescent Rose and uses it at a skill level that probably surpasses even Ruby.

He'd take it and then do something like this with it, before tossing it back to a slack jawed and wide eyed Ruby with "Nice weapon."

That's an explicit superpower of his, isn't it? I'd prefer him to use Neptune or Sun's weapons, to be honest. Those are more fun. (And three-part, to boot. Wonder if the rest of SSNS do too.)

But yes, he'd probably do that and maybe slay some Grimm or demons in the process.

In Marvel Vs Capcom 3, it is. In the first game, it was because the weapons were sentient and guiding his hand. In the third game, well, they were still sentient but that may not have been the case. As of the fourth game, though, the MvC explanation is probably the best one. That's why he has infinite ammo, after all.

It's worth noting Bayonetta has Gun Nunchucks, the Sai Fung◊.

Both Dante and Bayonetta in Remnant would be... chaotic. Fun, but chaotic.

Hey, anybody here play Mad World and Anarchy Reigns? Jack Cayman would be an interesting character to be added into Remnant. That, and I want chainsaw weapons

Not to mention a lot of the characters in Anarchy Reigns could fit well in RWBY
