One thing I realized about team CRDL: Weiss said that at an ordinary combat school, it's just sparring and practice.
While we do have reason to doubt that statement's truth, the fact remains if it is, indeed true, Cardin and the rest would have preemptively negated all competition and challenge by bullying others, meaning they got 'left behind' so to speak, because the rest of their class did get to spar against people who were willing to fight back.
Besides, they all wear armor, Pyrrha shouldn't have any problem beating them if they decide to attack her without a judge to call rule violations.
Why would it be against the rules for Pyrrha to use her magnetism to mess with someone's weapon/armour in the first place? I can't see them forbidding Ruby from using her speed or Weiss from snowflaking.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerFavorite episode of Volume 1?
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Mmmm...I would say Players & Pieces/Black and White for the more action oriented episodes, whereas for important character moments would be The Stray/ The Badge and the Burden.

I'd have to watch it again to say. Still it's like, what, 80 minutes runtime?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Episode 8: Players & Pieces.
Definitely P&P for me.
It's the point where the series started picking up and had that awesome battle with the Nevermore.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerPlayers and Pieces, definitely. But Black and White is a close second.
Ditto on Players and Pieces/Black and White.
Though Shining Beacon Pt.2 gets a special mention for having the most number of funny moments.
I'm not really sure. Maybe Players & Pieces, but to be sure I think I'd have to rewatch.
The fact that you have to consider rewatching makes me think you didn't like Volume One in general.
I'd say Players and Pieces, Black and White, and The Stray, in that order.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I have no idea how that would even suggest that.
Heh. Nah, I just have a hard time being consistent about all media other than books and videogames, and even then I falter. I've been trying to make some progress with Red Versus Blue for like a month with little success.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%."Black and white". It wins over "Players and pieces" only because latter has bit weak animation and stiff acting in first half. Looks like most effort went in second half.
The biggest failure of animation in the entire volume happens in the last episode, so I can't pick that one despite the nice fight scene. :<
Perhaps... If 'Players & Pieces' is the one with the two giant Grimm, then that one. Runner-ups include... every episode before that. >_>
Hello! Just recently got into this series after Serocco recommended it to me and finished up Volume One, so I'll start posting in here without fear of being spoiled...
Tough to pick a favourite episode. Reserving the right to change my mind later on, I guess I'll pick "The First Step". It introduces Nora, and Nora rocks.
What is this error you speak of?
All hail Serocco who converts non believers!
Sun, when standing behind Blake, is animated as standing in front of her. It's during the first half sometime when they're walking through the streets, with Sun on the left and Blake on the right.
Didn't that only appear on the DVD (or at least get fixed pretty sharpish on the YT video)?
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerPlayer & Pieces definitely. I still rewatch the final scene with Ruby beheading the Nevermore every so often.
I like the first half of Jaunedice because of Jaune wanting to defy his Butt-Monkey starsign... and they introduced Velvet.
On another note, RWBY is the first series I've ever rewatched in entirety. It's easier than an anime surely, but the honour still counts.
Working on a manga. With pictures! All feedback welcome! To be fair, it is much shorter than most anime seasons, at about two hours total. Still fun though.
JPN RWBY dojins have begun to materialize on the Web. yeah the series is getting popular all right.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Gonna repost what I wrote in the fanfic thread:
Anyone got a twitter account? Would anyone be able to ask Monty if, should they/he do an OC contest in the future, if previously shown/drawn Original Characters would be eligible?
I've created an OC team that I've put loads of effort and research into, and I'm thinking of commissioning artwork - but I plan to enter them in an eventual contest, assuming there will be one, and I don't want to potentially blow that chance, if that makes sense?
Someone brought up before how they hoped Team CRDL wouldn't be a group of weak, incompetent bullies. I hope so too. The fights we've seen with Ursi have me worried now that we've seen Pyrrha stomping CRDL in the opening.
