If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Tyrrian being a Scorpion Faunus was definitely a legit surprise.
Watch SymphogearYeah, it took me a second. I was like "HE HAS ANOTHER PONYTAIL AND BLOCKED WITH IT!?"

Well, knowing that, if he doesn't shout "Get over here!"/"Come here!" at one point, I'm going to be very disappointed in Rooster Teeth.

I'm sure they'll give it a bit of time so we don't just see it coming a mile away and make it less funny.
In any case: Good to see that we've FINALLY gotten a non-mamalian faunus. Hell, it's even better since I doubt most people didn't even expect arthropod-based ones existing. Like, I've seen Faunus Original Characters that were Avian and Reptilian, but never Arthropod.

So it's looking more and more like team RWBY won't be reunited within the season, much as I suspected. If they are, it'll only be in the volume's finale.
As for what's in store next for our heroes, I still wouldn't rule out Tyrian successfully nabbing Ruby via some sort of portal bullshit along the lines of what Raven can do with her sword. I feel like the villains might very well have access to that sort of stuff. If that happens Jaune will probably be brought along for the ride by accident and/or because Tyrian apparently finds him interesting for whatever reason.

Tyrian's interest in Jaune is almost certainly related to his Semblance.
Also, Ironwood continues to be the man.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I was thinking it would be because of Jaune's ancestors, actually
Speaking of which, I think they fixed his arms looking short.

- *toooooot*
- "After ten thousand years, land!" "It has been only a week."
- And now comes the part where I have to stop the video every second to notice every detail put here.
- "This is the one place everyone can feel safe. Unless you hate water. Then you are screwed."
- Okay, what is up with those Faunus with hardened skin? What are they?
- "Trust me, the wildlife here makes the Grimm look like little bunnies."
- Welcome to Australia
- Blake is a rich cat.
- "Trust me, no one wakes up in this household without a good knock".
- Kali Belladonna, Age :3, Mum Looks Like a Brother
- Ghira Belladonna, Age Big. He is a big man. For, well, everyone.
- "We had so much stock in that place. We were afraid we would go bankrupt."
- "Decide your next words carefully with proper phrasing, or there are places this fist will explore."
- Yeah, you should shut up about now.
- "Mom, can you stop dreaming about your harem for one time when visitors come?"
- Corsac and Fennec Albain, age JACKAL, IT'S A JACKAL, A JACKAL! "It's fox, you idiot!"
- "We are a organization of peace. Wait, let me rephrase that, we don't want to give any implications on any comparisons."
- I was going to say that never trust foxes, but they are surprisingly straight-forward.
- Mr Beard Chest has a point. Never trust an organization run by a KHAAAAAN!
- "I never knew someone would have a Cleavage Win-" "You stop that."
- Yeah, scrub that one stop on the ground.
- Nice jacket.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!re: Faunus with "hardened skin": Scales. They're reptile faunus. To be fair, they could have made it look better/more oblivious than that.

"If I was a tabletop RPG character, my player would be accused of both minmaxing and overdramatic roleplaying." -Me- So Weiss' little outburst does confirm that if you're not keeping your emotions in check, your Semblance will go haywire.
- Henry is literally introduced only to be Neptune 2.0, but completely unlikable instead. I imagine he's gonna show up again. Also, Atlas people are literally the most unlikeable they can get.
- So Ren's parents were visionary.
- Tyrian is delightfully one-dimensional, and also a Scorpion-man. He does have some flair for dramatics, at least. Also, Salem hype. Qrow shows up at the literal last minute. Also, why does Tyrian take interest in Jaune? Something about the grandpa war hero past?
...well, I do hope this is not the last episode this year, at least. Is it just me or do the fights feel... kind of weird now?
Big GrahObviously Jaune's inner semblance is something very unique...
Something about Weiss' stuff felt off to me. I don't know why. Just a little... stilted and forced. Maybe it was on purpose, to demonstrate the fake nature of the Atlas upper crust?
Anyway, rest of the episode was fine. Liked the scorpion Faunus reveal. Like others have said, it was genuinely surprising. A spider I could have seen coming, but a scorpion is a bit out there. Tyrian is also more interesting when he's not giggling uncontrollably.
Didn't like the Repeat Cut at the end, but then I dislike Repeat Cuts in general. I feel like they should only be used when each cut shows something new, like a very quick version of Once More, with Clarity. Baccano did an awesome one with Claire Stanfield.
So was I the only one who immediately thought that Weiss didn't make the glyph, and it was really Whitley framing her?

Weiss' mom looks a lot like Winter there.
Also, did we ever get Weiss' mother's name?
Whitley, and the thought did occur to me, but it probably doesn't make sense.
Anyway, I'm not going to jump to conclusions about why Tyrian is interested in Jaune. Like, we've never seen anything about people being able to tell what someone else's Semblance is or if it's special or whatever.

That is Weiss' brother's name.
Also, somewhat of a dark thought came to me in the past; Probably some people might speculate that Jacques is going to be the Evil Queen to Weiss' Snow White. However, what if Mama Schnee is the Evil Queen?
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Well, at least it'd give her some characterization
No, but the the best guess is Willow.
look at these fuckin weebs here
