Agreed; +1 to pull for JAFAAC and crappy quality.
I'm surprised that someone didn't stick it next to a picture of her all Wrench Wench. That would be fine in my book.
... and would somewhat explain the poor quality.

Now I can notice the bad quality of it.

It doesn't harm the page, and it's not JAFAAC. It doesn't hurt that she's happy (it would hurt if she was something other than happy). She looks princessy, and the quality is good enough to tell her facial expression. It misses out on the "for a day" bit if (and only if) you read her expression as being happy for some other reason, but I don't think that's going to cause confusion and encourage misuse.
Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
Check out my fanfiction!Agree with Keep Until Better Image Suggested, it's not actively harming the page, so it doesn't warrant a pull without a replacement suggestion.
Keep Until Better Image Suggested. Having a happy girl in a princess type dress makes it look like she doesn't usually go to parties like this.
How would you ever be able to tell if the girl's a person from a low-to-mid class dressing up and "pretending" that she's in a high class? If you think it should be pulled it sounds like you think this isn't the sort of this that can have an image.
Having an establishing shot that shows her in her normal circumstances, possibly with something that sets up the princessing. I'm not gonna fuss if the consensus is to keep it, but as is it seems to be lacking something.
Agreed

Hop on over to this page and add them.I have an idea, but I dunno how well it will work (or whether it technically fits this trope or She Cleans Up Nicely better) and it's from a cut work...I'll see if I can put it together when I get time.

I think Cinderella getting her dress◊ would be the only way to show this in one shot. Is that still lacking?
I don't think it's an improvement. It has basically the same flaws the current does. I don't think the magic sells it better than Kaylee's smile.
Check out my fanfiction!I think Cinderella's a better fit. The magic does sell it a lot better for me.
And the image is just much better quality.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI tend to agree with that.
And no, I haven't made time to do up the suggestion I was thinking of...yet.
The magic sells Cinderella for me, since the current lacks the "for a day" aspect.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanComing to think about it, it DOES demonstrate it better than the Firefly one.
Well, here's a better quality◊ Cinderella one, but I'm not entirely sold on the picture. It being such an iconic scene, I'm sure people will know what's happening, but honestly, Princess for a Day isn't actually (I think) the trope people imagine when they see this scene, and I wonder if the iconic elements of it wouldn't overshadow the trope. Not that it means it's a bad image, of course, just that I think we could do better.
Even if we could do better, as long as it's not a bad image and considered better then the current, we can go with it and when someone comes up with a better one we can have a new discussion. I can't imaging how we could do better in one picture. There is the possibility of two picture but no one has offered a suggestion of one yet.
Counting my support, do we have enough to replace the current with the Cinderella image?
Let's get one or two more s for it.
Good enough. Can someone upload it and add it? Thanks!
How can I tell if that girl's a person from a low-to-mid class dressing up and "pretending" that she's in a high class?
Her apparent happiness doesn't help - she could be happy from anything, like being exited to attend a certain event (that you don't need to be a low-to-mid class to be exited about).
