Excitement fills the air... as a new adventure is about to begin! Come! Join us in Pokémon: BATTLE DIMENSION!

Discussion thread.

The continent of Cintro. Home to some of the most wonderful man-made creations in the entire world. Here, an intrepid trainer can find adventure in the underground dungeons, battling powerful Pokémon, as nature itself puts the trainer's abilities to test! Here, an excited entrepreneur can open up shop and promote his new product, for the biggest names in the business of Pokémon acessories and gadgets have all begun here! And here, a tourist can find calm in the biggest landmark of the continent: the floating island of Alago, home to some of the most beautiful hotels in the world, countless museums, and also, the dream of every trainer, the Pokémon League!

Yes, Cintro is the capital of the Pokémon world. This is where trainers often begin their adventures, and this is where trainers come, after years of building up a team, to see if they can climb the final steps of the ladder and defeat the great Pokémon Champion! But no one has defeated the current Pokémon Champion ever since he became the champion, and so, his name and the tales behind his climb to the position of Champion have attracted even more people to Cintro, for they say the Champion began his journey in the annual Pokémon Dungeon contest, located at the city of Meonam.

Meonam is a calm and quiet city, especially when compared to the bigger cities of Cintro, but there's always one time of the year where the city is filled with trainers ready to start their journeys, and people there just to see the excitement of the Pokémon Dungeon contest. The contest is simple: contestants have to enter a terrifying underground dungeon with only one Pokémon, their starter. Together, the trainer and his Pokémon have to face other powerful Pokémon, in order to reach the end. The first one to do so will win a brand new set of Pokégears, and while this prize may be considered "worthless", the Champion has always said that if it weren't for the challenge and the Pokégears, he would have never become the Champion.

And so, some go through the challenge for the prospect of becoming the next great Pokémon Champion. Some do it for fun. And some do it for their own reason. But this year, a new group of people would join the challenge. People from all over the world, people with different backstories, different Pokémons and even different abilities, who would soon enter a new dimension... a battle dimension.

On a cart, heading to Meonam, a gloved hand held up a small golden locket, the light from the sun piercing through the cracks in the cart illuminating the details of this fine piece of jewelry. Zuko sighed, slowly placing the locket back under his shirt, making sure it was still tied to the necklace around his neck. He was resting against a pile of fluffy pillows, and sleeping right next to him was his Growlithe, Roku. Zuko tried to go back to sleep, but the rumbling of the cart's wheels continued to keep him awake.

The cart wasn't that big, and that helped to keep Zuko awake. The fact he could never keep himself in a comfortable position long enough for him to just nod off was especially annoying. But, he held back the urge to punch the cart's walls, not because the cart's driver would complain, but because it would wake up his friend and travel companion, Toph, who had the other side of the cart all by himself.

Grumbling, Zuko once again rested his head against the pillows, looking at Roky. "You're really lucky." He whispered, caressing the Pokémon's head, a smile creeping up on his face. They would soon reach Meonam, and he would soon show the world just what Roku could do... and he would also show them what poor old Zuko could do... it was all a matter of time.

Basically, write your character heading to/arriving at Meonam.

One black-attired man was walking toward Meonam; in fact, he wasn't so far behind Zuko's cart. On his shoulder a Nincada slept, and his clothes were dusty from the long march. The man's pace was quite quick, though, considering the many miles he passed on foot.
When they reached the outskirts of Meonam, the man poked his Pokemon. "Wake up, Yusetsu; we're nearly there."
The Nincada opened its eyes and chirped in response.

A woman in a brown school uniform was walking around the town of Meonam. She was there for a while. She wasn't there for the challenge, but rather for the stuff humanity has to offer her. She was looking at various people in a marketplace handing money over to the venders and getting various items in return. Sometimes it was a strangely colored ball, other times it was just food. She looked on the floor and picked up a coin. She then noticed someone walking by her.

She tried to give the coin to them, but they just shrugged her off. She tried again to another passerby, though this time she got a response. The guy sped up his walking, trying to get away from her. She then noticed a Panzerotti on a random table. She went to the table. She looked around, then when she looked back to the Panzerotti, she placed the coin on the table and picked up the food with her hands. Soon, in one giant slurp, the pizza sandwich went into her mouth like it was jello. She then noticed something... A cart.

Soon, a white and yellow flying squirrel crawled out from her backpack and onto her shoulder. "Emogla!" The Pokemon said, seemingly excited for the cart.

"Tackle." She said to the Emolga. The Emolga looked at her with a bit of distain, but soon flew off to the cart. "Tackle!" The girl said as she ran after the Emolga. A patron came, only to notice his panzerotti is gone, and in its place was a single Pokedollar. This was no ordinary girl. Her name... Or rather, the name of her form... is Nadeshiko Misaki.

Glenn stopped and stretched and looked up into the sky, pushing his brown cloak back and revealing his bronze breastplate and white pants. Despite everything, Glenn had chosen to keep his old clothing as a reminder of his past. Before him was the city he had journeyed for, the city of Meonam. A smaller city, a town really which was unusual for the event they were about to join. Crafting a dungeon must have taken a lot of manpower. Even though this place they were looking for was artificial it seemed like a good idea for his first adventure here in this time. He owned little, so the prize should be interesting and very helpful as he has been told.

"Piplup?" Glenn looked down to his companion. He was Cyrus's partner once, but now all he has is Glenn. They knew each other well from their adventures together though, and Masamune shared Glenn's goal and determination. "Its alright, I was just thinking. Lets go, Masamune" The pair walked slowly into town, passing by the occasional home on the outskirts. It was a peaceful place, a change of pace from the hectic times during the war he had left.

The morning air was fresh, the sun struck his face and beamed back to the world and the cool morning breeze brought to him the promise of a new day.

Iskander smiled, this was going to be good, this was a good day for conquest- for starting a journey that will take him beyond the horizon.

The clatter of heavy Tauros feet reminded him that he was not yet at destination- he had been traveling for a day on a cart drawn by two Tauros. The only down side was that the Tauros weren't his, even worse he had to pay the driver for taking him as passenger but he did not need to worry about that right now.

By his feet there was curled an Aron, soundly asleep still holding onto a piece of scrap metal he had been given yesterday. Suddenly the Aron was jolted awake by a loose rock on the path, the next thing it saw was a huge smiling face looking kindly down on it.

"Awake now small one?"

Said Iskander.

The Aron nodded then proceeded to chew on the scrap metal.

Iskander smiled even more.

"Today it begins".

The robed figure was walking towards Meonam, his cloak flowing the wind. On his shoulders, two beings were floating, chatting with each other and sharing a few laughs. The being on the figure's right shoulder was Erebos, his trusty Ghastly, the other one on his left shoulder was a twisted book of forbidden lore, the Bombinomicon, which he had to put up with. Wizard Con. would be beginning soon, a few much needed days for Merasmus to get away from his everyday life. To get away from...HIM. Merasmus'mood instantly dropped to zero.

"Grargh! That idiot! I can't even imagine, what mindless atrocities he might be involved in now! Curse that insect! Curse hi-"

"Hey, old man. Calm down and take your heart medication or something. You're starting to sound like my grandma...again...Now come on, take a deep breath, blow something up and calm down..."

As much as Merasmus hated to admit it, the Bombinomicon was right. He came here to forget that guy and he would forget that guy. Heck, maybe he wouldn't even return home at all! That idiot might even forget to eat! The more he thought about it, the more he liked the idea and his mood lit up remarkably. But what would cause him to be away from home for such a long time? Maybe he could try to become a Pokémon master...

A sandy-haired young man stood atop a small hill, shielding his eyes with one hand as he looked out over the city below. Luke felt a profound sense of awe as he took in Meonam; from what little he’d heard it wasn’t the biggest city on Cintro by any stretch of the imagination, but even so it was a far grander place than he’d ever lain eyes on before.

“Kinda puts old Anchorhead to shame, doesn’t it Artoo?” he asked, glancing over his shoulder.

The Klink floating at his side tootled in agreement, the twin gears that made up its body turning slowly and silently under their own power.

Smiling, Luke turned his attention back to the city. The young man felt awed to be standing there, awed and a little overwhelmed; all these years he’d wanted to leave his aunt and uncle’s homestead and see what the outside world had to offer. Now that he was actually here, though, he found himself wishing that Old Ben was still with him. He could still remember the words Ben had said to him as they rode the ferry from Divano to Cintro:

“Luke,” the wise old man had told him, “a time will come soon when we must part ways. I have taught you as best I can, given the short time we’ve known each other, but if you are to follow in your father’s footsteps and learn what became of him—if you are to become an Aura Guardian and a Pokémon Master, as he and I were—then you must continue on alone. There are things you must learn, and skills you must acquire, that can only be gained through personal experience. When we arrive on Cintro, I suggest that you head for the city of Meonam; that place is as good a starting point as any for your journey.”

He had given him an encouraging smile then. “And remember—the Aura will be with you, always.”

And sure enough, the two had parted company upon arriving at the port. Where Ben had gone, Luke couldn’t say; but as he remembered his mentor’s last words to him, he knew that Ben was with him in spirit.

Nodding to himself, he glanced over his shoulder. “Come on, Artoo.”

And with those words, Luke Skywalker began making his way down the hill with the Klink floating along in tow, taking his first step into a larger world.

Only two more innings to go. The bases were loaded, the atmosphere was tense. Scout took a deep breath as he squinted at the pitcher, preparing himself for the worst-

"Sweetie, I'm home!"

Scout grunted noncomittally as he sank further into the couch and turned up the volume on the television. "Hey, Ma." The dark hared woman pushed aside a bag of empty potato chips with her foot, looking around at the overturned metal bowl and the disheartening amount of crumbs that dusted the couch cushions and carpet.

"This is a pigsty!" she exclaimed indignantly. "I just cleaned here yesterday, you know. And I'm tired of you loafing around the house all day. You never do your chores-"

"-Hey, that's not-"

"-you sit in the living room watching TV all day-"

"-Yeah, but-"

"-don't you backsass your way out of this one, kiddo, because when you're not watching TV and loafing around in my livin' room you're picking fights with other kids and Officer Jenny's fed up with your crap."

"Who cares? Tim was a cocky dumba- um, a cocky kid who thought he could pull a fast one on me. I only bruised him, ya know. You shoulda seen what he wsa gonna do to me". Scout rolled his eyes and turned his focus back to the TV, muttering a quiet "yes" as he watched one of the runners sprint towards home.

"You beat someone up, mister. You pull that kind of stunt again, and you ain't living in this house any longer. Got it?"

"Yeah, yeah." The TV cut to a commercial for Silph Co., and Scout sighed, changing the channel to some cheap reality show. He muttered something under hsi breath before changing the station again to a cartoon, then to another infomercial, before giving up and returning to the erstwhile baseball program he had been watching.

His mother's tone softened somewhat as she sat down on the couch beside him. "You know, Scout, the professor is giving out some starting Pokemon to new trainers today. All your brothers already started their adventures back in Castelia, remember?"

Scout sighed again and rolled his eyes melodramatically. "Aw, Ma, you know I can't stand that Pokemon League crap. The only league I'm ever going to enter is a major baseball league. None of that 'gotta catch em all' crap for me, no sir."

"Scout, you're going on this journey whether you like it or not." Before the teenager could even start to tune her out with the TV, she strode over and flicked off the plasma TV. "A couple months out in the wild with the fresh air? You learn responsibility, inititative..."

"No way. I ain't going. If I wanted to- Hey, I was watching that!" he stammered in protest as he watched the TV cflick off. "I'm too old now, anyways. Don't you gotta be, like, ten years old or something?"

His mom turned away and took a deep breath, counting off numbers on her fingers. When she turned back to look at him, there was a steely determination in her eyes. "Listen, Scout. Either you're going to get a Pokemon today and go challenge the League..." she waited for the inevitable drawn out sigh and eyeroll. "... or you're getting a job."

"A job? Seriously, Ma? What kind of job?"

"I know the Pokemon mart down the road is hiring..."

Another sigh and eyeroll.

"Fine, fine, I'll go to the doc's place. OK? I'll get a stupid Pokemon and challenge the stupid League."

"That's my boy." Scout shrugged off the encroaching hair tousle and sunk deeper into the couch. "Make me proud, slugger!"

"Yeah, yeah... whatever."

— Takamachi Nanoha —

"Nanoha?!" A voice called out, coupled with a hand waving in front of Nanoha's face, "Stop spacing out already."

Nanoha was walking back from school with her friends. The three of them had reached the place where Nanoha and the other two had to split up in order to get back to their respective houses.

"Oh, sorry," Nanoha replied, coming back to reality, "See you tomorrow!"

"Just make sure you're all there," her friend replied, puffing her cheeks in a pout, "It was like you weren't even here today." After she finished, Nanoha's friend turned around and marched off, seeming somewhat offended, dragging the third friend along with her.

Nanoha continued walking down the street. Two or three blocks later, she heard a familiar cry. As Nanoha looked up, her Eevee came bounding down the street towards her, still several blocks from home. Nanoha caught the pokemon in her arms as it lept towards her, Eevee cooing contentedly.

"Now, now, you really shouldn't be wandering this far from home, what would I do if you got hurt?" Nanoha chided as she petted Eevee.

A few paces later, and Nanoha was once again lost in thought, Eevee now walking alongside her. It wasn't that she was unhappy, she had a good life. It was just that something seemed to be missing. Nanoha mused a bit longer, before a rush of wind from a nearby car brought her back to her senses. Upon raising her eyes, Nanoha saw a poster for the Pokemon Dungeon Contest.

Toph snored loudly as she rested on the other side of the cart, her feet hidden beneath a pile of fluffy pillows. Resting besides her was Diggy, her Drillbur, who was providing quite the comedic scene, as it struggled to imitate his trainer's pose down to the smallest of details- he even tried to replicate her expression. And even with the strange goggles covering her eyes, Toph kept seeing visions, visions of memories, although all the people in them lacked faces or colors. Memories of when she got found by Zuko, years ago, after she had tried to steal food from a PokéMart... of when he took her under his wing and taught her everything the streets hadn't taught her... of the two growing together, their bonds as friends strenghtening as they did jobs for pretty much everyone on their home island... and of the two finally deciding to explore the world and begin their journey as Pokémon trainers... together.

"Huh?" Toph asked, being brought out of her sleep by the shaking of the cart. She pulled up her goggles, revealing her oddly vacant eyes. "Are we there yet?" She asked, staring at some of the pillows. However, her attention was focused on Zuko. The truth is, Toph was blind, and she saw things through what she called a "seismic sense". By feeling the vibrations spreading through the earth, she could see pretty much everything without relying on her eyes. Sighing, she went back to her sleeping position. "Moodbender." She said, pulling down her goggles. "How long until we get to Meonam? I'm tired of these boring cart rides across the countryside. Why didn't we take the trains? They're so much better than... this."

The signs of city life was a refreshing change to the wild terrain the boy and his partner had traveled getting to Meonam. As Yamato took his first steps into the city, the Swablu beside him cooed happily as it flapped it's fluffy white wings.

Yamato let out a small smile as he felt a small sense of satisfaction in arriving at the city, despite him knowing that he still had a long way to go. He took his hands out of his pockets to straighten his tie as he took in his surroundings. He came to the city because he had heard of a contest taking place, a suitable undertaking to gain experience for the journeys ahead. Makoto followed closely behind as Yamato headed further into the city.

Jack Skellington sits on a cart carrying pumpkins currently traveling on its route from Samhain Town to Meonam. Jack tries to contort his body into a comfortable position as he notices a Ralts dangling wildly on the railings of the cart. His long bony arms go to grab her and as she is moved to his lap, he pets her on the head. "Now, now Sally be careful! I'm not sure I could get these Tauroses to stop if you fell off and Mr. Boogie wouldn't go and pick me back up. He's still jealous about me always beating him in those contests. The Mayor took days to convince him!"

Sally growls cutely at Jack and has a look of exasperation on her face as she sits in Jack's bony lap. "Now, now girl we'll be at Meonam soon, I promise! Just hold on and you can stretch those little legs!"

Jack tries once more to find a comfortable position as he starts to hear the clomp clomp clomp of the Tauros start to slow down. A loud, booming and gruff voice starts shouting. "Jack, we're here! So get off of my wagon, ya freeloader!"

Jack smiles and jumps off. "See, Sally, what did I tell you? We'd be here in no time!" As Jack starts walking to Meonam he waves to Oogie. "Goodbye Oogie! Take care of Samhain for me, OK?!"

Jack starts to walk around the city, marvelling at the huge amount of trainers contrasting with the rustic feel of Meonam. "Wow...we're actually here Sally. It's time for the Pokemon Dungeons! We're going to win our own Pokegears! Are you sure you're ready for this, buddy?"

Sally nods and hugs Jack's leg for a few seconds.

Jack laughs and continues walking unhindered. "Hehhehaha! Oh I shouldn't even have asked! We're going to do great!"

Save it for the battles ahead, Krok. There'll be plenty of things to bite on then.

Zuko shrugged. "Because it's cheap." He said, gently scratching that little part under Roku's chin that he liked so much. "This guy gave us the trip for free. Owed me a favor." It was right then that the cart stopped for a moment and bumped on a big rock, all of the things in the back jumping into the air for a moment. Zuko didn't even move, and Roku simply lifted his head, rolled his eyes and went back to sleeping. But right now, Toph, with her seismic sense, would be able to "see" the black-attired man walking behind the cart.

"But you should get up." He said, looking up at Toph. "We're almost there." Zuko peeked at the outside through a hole in the cart, spotting another cart being drawn by two Tauros. His cart's driver waved at the other cart's driver. "What are ya carrying with those two big Pokémon, friend?" He asked the other cart driver, smiling.

The city of Meonam was brimming with excitement. There were tourist groups all over the place, all of them doing the "Champion Tour", which began at the Pokémon Dungeon challenge and ended in the floating island of Alago. "And here is where the Champion bought his first pokéball." One group leader said, pointing with his cane at an empty shop on the sidewalk. And a minute later, the shop was filled with tourists, all of them buying anything the shop had to offer.

There were entertrainers on the street, some of them acting by themselves and some of them performing tricks with their Pokémons. One young girl balanced herself on one finger, while her Togepi balanced himself on one finger on top of her foot. The tourists clapped, showering both of them with Pokedollars as they held out heir hats.

"Attention, trainers!" A man with spiky hair and wearing a black suit yelled, holding a microphone as he stood on top of a stand, with a banner saying "THE SEVENTEENTH ANNUAL POKÉMON DUNGEON CONTEST" right on top of it. "It is almost time for the contest to beeeeeeeeegin!" He yelled, to the excitement of the crowd, as he pointed to a stereotypical cave entrance in the middle of the square. "In just an hour or so, that cave entrance will open, and the challenge will begin! But you can still register!" He pointed at a stand where a young woman with pink hair stood, twiddling her fingers. "Just walk up to our lovely attendant and you can enter our contest to win our fabulous prize, just like the Pokémon League Champion!"

"Do you have to be so excited, Carl?" The woman asked, an awkward smile on her face.

"Attention, trainers!" He yelled in his microphone. "Yes, I DO!" And the crowd went wild once more.

As the pair walked into town they could easily see that a group of people was forming, so Glenn pushed forward into the crowd and listened to the announcement. "I don't know how well we will do when back in the spot without Cyrus, Masamune, but we will do our best." Masamune gave Glenn a concerned look, his confidence fluttered sometimes ever since they had left their time. But Masa walked forward without saying anything. Once the announcement was over, Glenn moved forward and reached the assistant first.

"Hello, my name is Glenn, from.." Glenn paused for a moment, but then shrugged as the truth couldn't hurt. "Dorino Village. This is my partner Masamune," "Piplup." "And we would like to sign up."

It was rather obvious what the cart was carrying because tha cart was an open air one-one that was usually used to transport fruit and berries to the pokemarts, but this time the load it was carrying was not entirely edible and ten times more visible; anyone could see Iskander standing on the back of the cart crossed armed with a huge smile on his face.

The Tauros driver waved back, pointed over his shoulders at the massive man in the cart and replied sheepishly: "Its a long story..."

"GOOD MORNING DRIVER!"

Iskander had noticed the other cart at last.

"MY GOOD FRIEND HERE IS TAKING ME TO MEONAM"

Boomed Iskander, his voice easily reaching the other cart and its occupants- Zuko, Toph, the guy walking behind the carts would all hear it as if Iskander had shouted it into their ears.

Scout looked down doubtfully at the small green creature on the table. The small green creature on the table looked up at its trainer, tis eyes betraying its apparent lack of confidence in its new Trainer. A long silence fell as Scout, the Snivy, and the Professor's assistant all looked awkwardly at one another, apparently waiting for someone to break the awkward pausel.

"So... what the hell is this thing?"

"That's a Snivy," said the assistant slowly to Scout. "Here." She passed over a small red microcomputer into Scout's hand. "All you need to do is this..." she pushed a button on the machine, and the screen blinked to life.

"Being exposed to sunlight makes its movements swifter. It uses vines more adeptly than its hands." burbled the Pokedex contentedly.

"Uh... so what do I do with.. him? You want I should feed him some bugs or something?" He reached out a hand and awkwardly patted the little reptile on its head, to its visible discomfort. "Hey," he suddenly said, "how do I make it beat people up?"

The professor's assistant looked visibly taken aback. "Hey, hey, I was just joshin' ya." chuckled Scout.

A blank stare.

"It was a joke, OK? A joke. Yeah. Say, you want to go out for dinner tonight?" ___________________

Nursing the red mark on his cheek, Scout and his new Pokemon stepped out of the Pokemon Centre, followed by a young girl with a Tepig and another youngster with an Oshawott in tow. Both of the young Trainers looked up at the gangly 19-year old with his Snivy following behind him, giggling quietly to themselves. "Hey, what're you looking at?" snapped Scout, causing them to scamper off down the road.

"So... I guess I just put you inside this thing right here..." He fumbled with the Pokeball for a few moments before his new ally disappeared inside. Now what? He couldn't go back home, of course. He noticed, though, that just down the road was a gathering of other people, and some kind of podium. Maybe someone there could point him in the right direction for what to do next.

"Cleeeeeffaaaa!"

Gentaro looked down, Yuki bringing up a bottlecap with a star on it.

"Ah, thanks buddy!" Gen said, taking the bottlecap from the humming Cleffa and putting it in her bag of vaguely space-related things. The small Pokemon then sat down next to him, Gentaro plopping to the ground to pet her with a wide smile. "We finally made it Yuki! Using our bond, we'll grab onto victory!"

Sights. Sounds. Smells. All very overwhelming to an ordinary rural-dweller, and the girl walking through the crowd now, turning her head quickly towards everything that attracted her attention, was anything but normal. "Green", as she was known, didn't seem overly strange to a casual observer; the white hair was somewhat unusual, certainly, and her brown skin bore two green spirals on her cheeks, but she seemed human at least. Something she was always pleased about, as this allowed her to pass more-or-less unnoticed among the people. The wonderful, lovely, beautiful people.

But Green wasn't dwelling on things so depressing right now, of course. Sights. Sounds. Smells. All rather distracting. Perhaps she would be able to take something of it with her when she left… She stuck a hand in her pocket with a hopeful note, only to feel the familiar pang of crushing disappointment as she withdrew it. Her idiot brother had spent all their money again. Or perhaps, in a particularly mean-spirited moment, he had thrown it all away so that she couldn’t buy anything nice for herself here. She certainly wouldn’t put it past the bastard. She gave out a sad sigh.

“Ralts?”

Green looked down at Roxy, her partner and best friend, and forced a smile. “It’s nothing, really.” Roxy narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips. She knew her owner too well to be fooled. Green didn’t last long. “It’s just… it’s such a pity that I can’t get any souvenirs of this place, you know? Not with you know who making off with everything we earn.

“Ra-Ralts.” Roxy replied, informing her trainer that she was worrying too much. Again. Green smiled at her, genuinely this time, and made off for the registration stand with her partner hot on her heels.

Taku shrugged. Most people didn't offer him rides, so he was unused to such simple generosity. "I'd be most pleased!" he told Toph, sprang into a run, and jumped, landing easily inside Zuko and Toph's cart.
"Nin!" complained Yusetsu, who nearly fell off Taku's shoulder.
"Sorry, Yusetsu," the black-wearing man said, patting his partner. He turned to Toph: "My name is Taku. Well-met; who might you-"
Then Iskander started shouting. "This person is incredibly and impolitely loud," he noted.

Having finally arrived in Meonam, Merasmus soon found himself listening to some man screaming about some "Pokémon Dungeon Contest".

"Hey, boss, guy sounds almost like you. Dungeon...sounds like blowing stuff up! I'mma go sign myself up!

"You aren't going anywhere. You are a book, remember? And I don't think "blowing stuff up" in a city as big as this would be that good of an idea...don't you remember last time?"

"Oh, come on! You know that wasn't my fault! Now then..."

The Bombinomicon floated up into the air and moved towards the attendant.

"Eh, lady. That guy there, Merasmus and the Gastly would like to sign up for this "contest" or so..."

As the Bombinomicon made it's way back to Merasmus again, one could almost feel that it would be grinning, while Merasmus' facial colour got closer and closer to that of the Bombinomicon, some veins popping out on his forehead even, but luckily for the Bombinomicon he was able to hold himself back, only pointing his staff at the book threateningly.

"Don't mind him. Most people are." Toph said, closing the door and sitting besides him cross-legged. Taku would immediately noticed that she was hearing a green helmet with goggles that were covering her eyes instead of letting her see better. "So." She said, leaning back on the wall of the cart. "That's Moodbender, I'm Toph. Where are you going?"

In the bus station of Meonam, the passengers started disembarking one by one. Among them was a boy, wearing a red cap and carrying a yellow backpack on his back. His companion, a small blue humanoid pokémon, was holding his arm with a tight grip, surveying their surroundings like a bodyguard.

When they got outside the bus, Ness filled his lungs with the big city's air, with a smile on his face. "Ahh, this feels so good!", he said, even though the smell of carbon dioxide was the only one permeating in the air, "This is the first time we visit such a big city. Don't you just feel like looking at every nook and cranny?", the boy looked at his pokémon with a silly happy-go-lucky face, expecting an "yes".

The Meditite gave an emphatic nod, as he knew there was no way around it. Being with Ness for such a long time, he knew his trainer was just like that. However, the look of displeasure on his eyes were obvious.

"Come on, it'll be fun! It'll be a brand new experience for us". They started to walk in a random direction, as the boy continued trying (through a silly attempt) to convince the pokémon to acquire a more positive attitude, "There'll be new people, new Pokémon, new stores, new places, challenges we couldn't have back in Onett... And we might even get to meet with the Pokémon Champion if we're lucky!".

The Meditite, which he called Alpha, gave yet another emphatic nod, and wondered when his trainer was going to understand that he simply didn't care. Probably never. He knew him too well.

They passed through a poster for the Pokémon Dungeon Contest. Being observant as he is, Ness stopped to look at it, checked the time and place they were going to hold the event, and checked what time it was now using his wristwatch. When he noticed just how late he got into the city, the young trainer leaped back in surprise, a very worried look showing on his face. "D-Damn it, we need to go now!".

He pushed Alpha to yet another random direction, which he believed would take him to the place he was supposed to go.

— Takamachi Nanoha —

Nanoha walked away from the registration desk after she finished the paperwork, wandering in the direction of the cave that she and her Eevee would soon be entering, carrying the pokemon in her arms. Nanoha was in a half excited, half afraid state. The pair didn't have much battle experience, and the cave was clearly at least mildly dangerous according to the descriptions. Still, it was something new, and something about the whole thing just seemed sort of... right.

At that point Nanoha heard Gentaro and his Cleffa's conversation. He had seemed like an intimidating young man at first, but seeing him petting his Cleffa and talking about friendship put her more at ease.

"He seems quite excited," Nanoha said to Eevee, "Let's do our best to okay?"
