I thought driving handled beautifully in SR 3. It's one of the o ly things they improved from 2.
Follow me on Twitter, I'm pretty awesome http://www.twitter.com/ZekeFreekNow that PAX has come and gone, they've revealed that Saints Row IV will let you literally kill people with Dub-Step. Weaponized Wub-Wubs.

That latter one is really interesting. If you liked your Boss from Saints Row The Third, you can swap them over to Saints Row 4.
Which I have to say "YESSS!!!" to.
^^That's good on that second bit.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelYeah, isn't it? I have my Female!Boss just the way I like her, so not having to build a completely new character is a bonus. Wish more games let you do that to be honest wit ya.
That means all the stuff that I have on my Boss is transferable to the next game with possibly updated graphics? Yes. Yes!
I do hope that means they'll expand on some of the costume themes from the third game. I was bummed there was no deer mascot outfit due to the STAG Initiative.
;3;
DeerAnyone else think Johnny Gat might come back as a cyborg?
Couldn't think of anything. :/Gat will definitely be remembered somehow.
If this goes by the Killbane ending, will that mean there will be zombie Shaundi?
DeerI really hope Shaundi and Gat don't make a reappearance - my canon!save, the one I still play with, has both of them dead, with Gat back as a clone but with no trace of his former personality.
If they do come back, it will just be pandering to the base, pure and simple. Also I would hate to have to go Killbane again, because if Shaundi is alive, he got away with all the shit he pulled.
I want Shaundi to still be alive and back to her old personality. They can even make it so she had a personality shift because she stopped smoking pot.
Well, Angel hunts down Killbane if you save Shaundi, so there is a chance he died still.
what if there was a nice mix between the two personalities?
I prefer killing Eddie Pryor with my own two hands, so to speak.
I liked Shaundi better in Saints Row the Third as opposed to Saints Row 2 - I never played the first one as I had San Andreas so didn't feel the need to - and felt she was actually more use without having her head full of pot smoke than with it.
While the Shaundi in Saints Row 2 could unquestionably be The Load (in gameplay as well as outside of it; seemed she was always the one I had to revive), I thought she was also a more entertaining character.
I'm not sure which ending I prefer, really. In the Killbane ending, the protagonist gets back some of the edge I loved so much from the second game (didn't play the first one since I have a PS 3, don't feel the need to). But given that this game seems to continue the wacky hijinks and that it's kind of hard to see the protagonist as President if he/she's already head of an independent state, it seems more likely the Shaundi ending is canon. Which is fine, since I did feel guilty about abandoning my crew.

I have to agree with Shaundi being more entertaining in SR 2. For one, she wasn't just being the bitchy one the whole game, but she was actually pretty amusing and helped to humanize the Boss in light of what happened to Carlo while still being a Saint. In SR 3 she became "Look here's a woman and she kicks ass." While I do love SR 3 for being a fun and silly game (I do want to get a chance to do co-op though, stupid crap PC), I still admire SR 2 for balancing the edginess and badassness of the Boss with the comedic sociopathy and weirdness. Didn't play SR 1, either.
Is the "SR 4 is just one of SR 3's expansion packs" because of the studio closing/cutting down? At least I heard something to that effect.

Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.Last month, SR 4's producer said “I don’t think that SR’s tone gets in the way of bigger sales”

Finally the real Shaundi will be back.
I usually make it a point not to preorder games, then I watched this trailer
"And introducing Keith David, as Keith David"
"I picked the right running mate."
"Damn right you did."
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterTwo Shaundis? That means the "Killbane gets away with all the fucking shit he pulled" ending is canon then. Fuck that.
That ending suffered from...we have to have a trope for this. Final scene stupidity. Oh no, killbane got away! If only we had some way of tracking him! Like a super hacker or the resources of a small nation.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?Exactly. Though I have to admit having both Shaundi versions shows great chutzpah on the part of the developers. Not sure if I admire it or not.
It's the ending where the Saints become corporate sellouts. Which is kinda apt.
I'm still not feeling it with this game. I'd really need to see some actual gameplay involving the actual sandbox and potential secret areas etc it might have.
Also Matrix references in 2013?
The sellout aspect never bothered me. The first saint's row was a GTA rip-off. A really bad one come to think of it.

No new information on the game will come out until after the 22nd of March, thanks to an embargo stopping folks from the press talking about the game until PAX East.
Normally, I have no problem with PAX, I like Penny Arcade and all that and a bag of chips, but seriously, fuck you guys for embargoing stuff, or going along with an embargo.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/danielnyegriffiths/2013/03/15/saints-row-4-august-launch-announced/ has this nugget.
"The information made available about the game was embargoed until 22nd March – that is, the first day of PAX East, where Saints Row IV will be on display,"
