Asura

I was not ready for this.

Turtle Power, a documentary about the TMNT franchise. Really good.

Somehow you know that the time is right.

I was gonna say, using turtles is an inefficient source of power. The lazy buggers won't even run a treadmill.tongue

I finally saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier yesterday. I have been trying to hide from every spoiler of it I could see. That is a really good film. Unfortunately, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spoiled some key plot points.

Watched Aladdin with some church friends last week. Though there was a small Nerf gun war between Prince Ali and A Whole New World.

Just finished The LEGO Movie. I enjoyed it a lot, and The Reveal took me completely by surprise, mostly because I thought that the relics and Emmet's vision of the hand was just a Mythology Gag to the toys, so I was really thrown for a loop when I saw how far they were going with it.

Nanny Mc Phee, with Emma Thompson, Colin Firth and a whole heap of cute kids. Really good film, excellent script and great acting throughout the ensemble cast.

Silent Running.

I wanted something to watch while eating lunch today and was going through our movie collection and thought "I've been meaning to watch this."

The drones/robots were adorable.

In which I attempt to be a writer.

Nightmare At Elm Street 3.

Enjoyable, but I was not afraid at all.

The Birds

MY LORD, that ending was creepy. The movie is slow as heck, but, Tippi Hedren voice is music to my ears.

Ghost Rider Spirit Of Vengeance.

Oh, dear. That was awful. The only two things that stick in my mind are the admittedly cool scene where Ghostrider uses a hue bucketwheel excavator as his mount and the scene where the Dragon uses his powers of decay to murder a paramedic, which I found really disturbing because...well, the guy's a paramedic, dude. Jesus.

The Jeremy Brett/David Burke adaptation of what was supposed to be the final Sherlock Holmes story, and hence called "The Final Problem". Brett's got some really good action scenes going in this one and I loved it.

I was always confused about Nicholas Cage playing an action hero, let alone a '90s Anti-Hero.

I like to keep my audience riveted.

From Russia With Love. Also a bond movie.

It's good a really good sense of the setting to it. You really get idea for Cold War before the films went to total fantasy. Still we probably didn't need to see 20 minutes of bond on a train. And I love trains.

Jurassic Park. Still a classic after 21 years. But they really shouldn't have introduced that brachiosaur in broad daylight.

[up][up] and [up] You have excellent taste, fellow tropers.

My last movie was "The Blues Brothers", with Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi. One of the best soundtracks in movie history and one of the finest collections of musicians to play it all.

I just hope real-life Illinois State Troopers and Chicago Police Department officers don't drive that badly. tongue
