Two panels from the recent My Little Pony Friendship is Magic comic hit the Smart Ball trope on the nose.

I just don't think this can be illustrated... even your example doesn't really illustrate the "ball" part.

Only just noticed that the article isn't CamelCased.

Image is okay, I guess? I'm a little worried that it'd require foreknowledge that Pinkie tends to be the resident Cloudcuckoolander.

[up] You would almost expect a Cloudcuckoolander to be able to solve bizarre riddles. I think you're thinking of The Ditz?

In either case, I agree that the image isn't very strong.

I get it, having watched MLP, but I don't think it's necessarily even an example. She didn't actually give an answer, become knowledgeable in riddles, or anything like that; it was her being herself and through dumb luck there wasn't an answer. And of course if it is an example, it depends on knowing of Pinkie's character beforehand.

Shall we close this thread?

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Suggestion doesn't work, and there hasn't been any others. Sure, lock away. No problems with opening a new thread if there's another suggestion.
