As part of the "Everything's Better With X" Snowclone Removal Drive. Picked this one because it seemed easy to resolve.

The trope definition can be summed up as, "Chickens are inherently funny." I brought this up in another thread and Septimus Heap suggested Chicken For Funny. I was thinking Chickens Are Funny after reading a Giant in the Playground thread on the "Chicken Infested" D&D flaw and laughing so hard I couldn't breathe.

Yeah, Chickens Are Funny. I'd prefer Chickens For Funny - that'll better deter people from listing non-funny chickens as aversions/subversions.

I would simply change it to "Everythings Funnier With Chickens" but since snowclones are out of fashion...

Clucking Hilarious? Fowl Humor?
Keep it breezy!

It has 84 inbounds, for the record.

Hub topic.
^^Fowl Humor etc could be good. Especially to stop people from just going and making a dozen more X For Funny tropes without thinking them through.

Or should be throw all Stock Funny Animal tropes into one? Is a random chicken any different tropewise that a random cow?

[up]Yes. Chickens are widely considered funny creatures and are often associated with humor. It's apart of culture in general.
Keep it breezy!

Fowl Humor or Clucking Funny work for me.

Thing about Fowl Humor is it could be misinterpreted/expanded to cover "birds are funny," which in turn would likely make it the supertrope to Fowl-Mouthed Parrot. I'm not sure that's a good idea.

[up] Good point, I'd forgotten about that trope...makes Clucking Funny even better.

Rename crowner written. I upvoted Chicken For Funny and downvoted the other stuff.

Just realized I misspelled "chicken" in one of the options. Fixed.

Bump for votes.
I think we have a rather clear winner here and this can be called.

Executed and cleaned the wicks.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.

Alternative Titles: Everythings Better With Chickens
5th Mar '13 11:39:57 AM
Vote up names you like, vote down names you don't. Whether or not the title will actually be changed is determined with a different kind of crowner (the Single Proposition crowner). This one just collects and ranks alternative titles.
At issue:
Everythings Better With Chickens needs to be renamed to remove the "Everything's Better With X" snowclone. What should the new title be?
