I think if the Malfoys fall under anything it's either Blond Guys Are Evil or some reference to Hitler's Aryan supremacy that we don't have a trope for. And I'd be leaning toward the latter since there are Hitler parallels elsewhere in the series. (Also the one where the douchebag has greasy slicked-back hair, which is just part of Good Hair, Evil Hair at the moment I think.)

Rhymes with "Protracted."Plus, the Malfoys are pretty ordinary fellows apart from the whole stuck-up-supremacists thing. They aren't particularly creepy and they have plenty of empathy.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerPlatinum blond is the closet thing to a real-life natural counterpart to fictional truly-white hair that doesn't involve old age or premature onset of hair-graying/whitening in young adults.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Yes, and because it's so natural it doesn't get the same connotations that white and grey hair do on someone too young to have them. Thus is doesn't belong on this trope. Prematurely white or grey is the most natural route this trope takes.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThe "actually pale blue or purple" examples should go too, right? I recall seeing several of those in the anime and videogame sections.
Eh, those can be iffy. Sometimes anime does that as a substitute for white because pure white can be hard to animate. You'd have to look at pictures. Is it a stand in for white? Or is it clearly meant to be blue or purple. I know Toshiro in Bleach tends to end up with blue tinted hair, but it's meant to be white.
And sometimes people writing the examples end up wonking about the tint because some people obsess far more than they should.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickVery light blues and purples might count so long as it's close and the personalities otherwise match up. Dilandau from Escaflowne is one of the earlier appearances of the trope, I think, and his hair sometimes looked slightly blue.

Okay, ctrl+f'd "blue," "purple," and "aqua" and only one of them (Mikael, Tenshi Ni Narumon) doesn't appear to be animation!silver. Don't ask me why a guy with blatantly teal◊ hair is on this page.
Yeah, he doesn't fit. As for the animation silver ones, just remove the colour wonk. It confuses people about the trope.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI don't know about counting prematurely white or gray hair. We would have to say what counts as premature. As long as the person doesn't have wrinkles? I think as long as the live-action character has white hair by supernatural means it would count. Then again if we take away the blondes from the list we have practically no live-action examples left anyway so it's not a huge deal.
I agree. Teal hair shaded black doesn't count. What is colour wonk? We are counting silver, aren't we?
Colour wonk is when in an animated work, hair is tinted slightly from white or black because pure white and black are hard to animate. People then rail on about how their hair is really blue or purple or grey because those tints are used to make the hair look 3D.
Silver, very light grey, and white count.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickOkay. So do we need that crowner? No one strongly objects to the suggested title and most people like it.
Since there were no objections last time I brought it up, I'll go ahead and remove the worst Zero Context Examples and the non-examples (e.g. Darkrai).
Edit: Speaking of non-examples, what do we do with the Subversions/Exceptions section of the page?

I like White Hair, Black Heart and went in and added some context to some examples.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I think if Fast Eddie looks at the inbound count on White-Haired Pretty Boy he would agree that it is better to turn it into a redirect than to cut it entirely.

Support a redirect. Will we reuse the image?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think we should; he looks suitably sinister.
Still going to need some clean up to make sure the existing White-Haired Pretty Boy wicks work for the new White Hair, Black Heart destination.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyThat is standard procedure when doing such changes. Assuming that I get time then, I'll do some work there.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAnd if they don't, we can just redirect it to White-Haired Pretty Girl instead until we decide what to do with it. :/
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableWhite-Haired Pretty Boy: cool (cold), elegant, possibly evil.
I'm pretty sure no WHPB has ever been unelegant or a spitfire personality. Or at least those wouldn't fit the archetype.
We can start calling it by it's new name. Are we ready to change the name and start changing the wicks?
I'd say so.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyGood. I can help with the wicks. The easiest thing is taking away a Zero Context Example. I don't know how to change the title. We can use Insanity Prelude's sandbox for the examples on the page it's self. Do we want to change the description at all?
I admit I wasn't being hugely picky when I sorted these; it was meant to be a very rough preliminary thing. When I get back from town, I'll clear the blonds out.
